Missing windows components in the administrator group policy templates. XP Pro SP3

Miss me some of the windows components in the computer configuration > Group Policy administrative templates. How can I get back them? XP Pro SP3

If you click on administrative templates, add or remove templates do you have right to have these models:

CONF
Inetres
System
Wmplayer
sooper

If this isn't the case, you must add them as described above.

For example, if inetres does not appear in the models (so, you must add), you won't see any substance IE under Windows Components.

Take a look at templates that are installed on the system that works and compare them to the distressed system.

In the Group Policy Editor, right-click on administrative templates, add/remove templates.

    Usually, you would see:

    CONF
    Inetres
    System
    Wmplayer
    sooper

If some are missing, add them as follows:

Click Add and it will open a folder where you can add the missing elements to match the list back in, or to match the list on a system that works correctly.

Restart to make sure that the changes stick.

Each component has a history, you can Google for more information.

  • My user account is configured as a memebr of the administrator group, but it is not like him.

My user account is configured as a memebr of the administrator group, but when I use some programs it always ask an Admin username and password.  I checked I'm in the Administrators group, but I still have problems.  Any ideas what's happening?

    Hello

In Windows 7, an administrator account runs under a normal, Standard account.

The difference is that when an administrator encounters a function that requires administrator privileges, the administrator can "raise" this feature simply and continue.

This protects the account Admiistrator of hostage by malicious infections which was so prevalent in previous versions of Windows like XP.

  • 8610: unlock the administrator settings on my officejet pro 8610

How to unlock the administrator settings on my officejet pro 8610?

Hello and welcome to the community of HP @jujupud,

I understand that you want to unlock the settings on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 administrator, but you forgot the password. I'll be happy to help you.

Your printer will have to be reset. I'll message you private instructions you need to do. Note that reset will clear your wireless settings, then you may need to reconnect to your network when you have finished resetting. (It's like the printer out of box at that point).

  • Windows Defender is disabled by group policy

When I try to open Windows Defender programs or manage the Start Up I get the message that it is disabled by group policy.

The solution tells me that I need to contact the administrator. I AM the administrator. There is no other user on this computer.  How can we | Difficulty this please

It is probably because you have installed an AV program or security that automatically turns off the Defender.  What you use now and what others you have tried in the past since you have noticed that?  Do you have it changed recently from something else?  The program AV or seccurity does in general via Group Policy (I'm not sure exactly how).  If this is the case, the deactivation is intentional and not a problem - if programs are running at the same time, they can cause conflicts, freezes, crashes, and all sorts of other problems.  I know that Microsoft Security Essentials for this and I know there are others that are also (even if I don't have a list of who they are).

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks and good luck!

  • Windows 7 Home Premium equivalent Group Policy Editor

Hello, I need help with a problem regarding the ability to restrict access to the application to another user on my computer. For some reason any Microsoft does not Group Policy Editor in Windows 7 Home Premium. I need to restrict the access of another user to all .exe files, with the exception of a small list of allowed applications. I would also like to be able to restrict access to control the Panel and all other files and folders. I still need to be able to access all applications and files of my administrator account.

    Hello

Yes there are other ways around the problem, although the easiest by far would be to
upgrade to Pro and use Group Policy.

You may activate just of Panel as needed. for your administrator account.

Or use a file fighting to move or rename the fichiers.cpl you don't want to do
be able to run. Restrict access to where you put the files.
