Windows XP - Event ID 1058 - Group Policy processing interrupted

Hi, I was getting event ID 1058 - aborted errors on clients in my child domain of Group Policy processing. I activated the service Distributed Transaction Coordinator from disabled to automatic and policies are applied successfully.

My question is: why the MSDTC service must apply GPOS? The PC having the issue were at the remot locations.

Thank you

Dave

I have Window 7 Edition home premium and created a guest account with normal privileges that is turned on but cannot access with the error "Windows could not connect to the Group Policy client service" I think that the main problem is related to a policy because when put on the account to administer it in pop, error message says 'Cannot connect to a windows service' Please check group policy log.

Thank you very much in advance

    Hello

Thank you for your time and effort to get back to us, and I apologize for the delay in responding.

Method 1 step number d makes reference to the present Details tab on the event viewer, where you can get the details of the error. First, search for the error which will be something like Windows cannot process extension Client Strategy Group-side and click on the error and then click the Details tab and make a note of the GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) for the extension defective client-side. For reference, see the screenshot:

Now come to step f number , it indicates the location of the Group Policy Extensions so that you can check if the extensions shown in the case log and the Registry Editor extension have a difference. The path of the GPExtension is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions. For reference, see the screenshot:

Let us know if the steps are clear to understand now. If this isn't the case, we will be happy to help you further.

  • Missing windows components in the administrator group policy templates. XP Pro SP3

Miss me some of the windows components in the computer configuration > Group Policy administrative templates. How can I get back them? XP Pro SP3

If you click on administrative templates, add or remove templates do you have right to have these models:

    CONF
    Inetres
    System
    Wmplayer
    sooper

If this isn't the case, you must add them as described above.

For example, if inetres does not appear in the models (so, you must add), you won't see any substance IE under Windows Components.

Take a look at templates that are installed on the system that works and compare them to the distressed system.

  • Windows Defender is disabled by group policy

When I try to open Windows Defender programs or manage the Start Up I get the message that it is disabled by group policy.

The solution tells me that I need to contact the administrator. I AM the administrator. There is no other user on this computer.  How can we | Difficulty this please

It is probably because you have installed an AV program or security that automatically turns off the Defender.  What you use now and what others you have tried in the past since you have noticed that?  Do you have it changed recently from something else?  The program AV or seccurity does in general via Group Policy (I'm not sure exactly how).  If this is the case, the deactivation is intentional and not a problem - if programs are running at the same time, they can cause conflicts, freezes, crashes, and all sorts of other problems.  I know that Microsoft Security Essentials for this and I know there are others that are also (even if I don't have a list of who they are).

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

Yes there are other ways around the problem, although the easiest by far would be to
upgrade to Pro and use Group Policy.

You may activate just of Panel as needed. for your administrator account.

Or use a file fighting to move or rename the fichiers.cpl you don't want to do

  • FAILED TO CONNECT TO THE WINDOWS SERVICE (GROUP POLICY CUSTOMER SERVICE)

Hi I have the same problem is started when I was looking for a driver for a usb camara the problem may be caused by a bad driver who does not belong...

I also have another pop up on the side saying "FAILED to CONNECT TO WINDOWS SERVICE (SERVICE to CUSTOMER GROUP POLICY)...".
    HELP PLZ

    Hi Jesse310,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

    • When you get this error message?
    • You are able to boot to the desktop?
    • What is the version of Windows installed on the computer?

This can happen more often if the user account is corrupted or some missing files.

First of all, I would say that run you a virus scan online on the computer to scan and remove infections of viruses or malware on the computer and check if it works.

See the link below for the on-line virus scan and perform a full scan of service on the computer.

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

If you are unable to boot to the desktop in normal mode, I would say that you start the computer in safe mode with network and try the online scan.

Steps to start in safe mode with networking

1 restart your computer if it is running.

    2. tap on the F8 key after your initially on powers computer.

    3. Once you see the menu Advanced Boot Options, you can stop tapping.

    4. use the up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.

    5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.

    6. you should see loading drivers and wait please.

    7. you should then be at the Welcome screen.

    8. connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/323ef48f-7b93-4079-a48a-5c58eec904a11033.mspx

If the step above does not resolve the question suggests that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if it works.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Perform the check and the clean boot if you have the problem

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

First, go to your application of features & programs or add remove & uninstall your McAfee has expired.
Then, you use McAfee Removal Tool to remove the 'remains' of McAfee from the system. Here is the link:
    http://www.pchell.com/virus/uninstallmcafee.shtml

Follow these instructions to download the McAfee removal tool and run it to remove the programs above.
(download the removal tool, then run it)

When this is done, here is how to restart Windows Defender:

Start button > in the search box, typeServices> press the Enter key > scroll to find Windows Defender, click on it >...

under Startup Type, it must be said... Automatic
If it does not say that, right click on Windows Defender > click Properties > in the new window, make the necessary changes, as above > click OK when finished.

    Hello

I hope someone can will be able to advise with a problem I encounter.

In our company run us Windows 7 64 bit under group policy. We do not allow users to be able to download content from the internet, but there is a problem where, in group policy, if you turn off the download, you also cannot open PDF files online for example.

Is there a way to allow the function "Open" but stop the function "Save", so employees will be able to view documents online, but not record using Internet Explorer 9.

  • QB 2013 multiuser Windows 8 + Trend Micro + Server 2012 field ++ group policy

We have a Windows Server 2012 domain.  Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers are joined to the domain.  All computers are running Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security Standard - client/server anti-virus for Windows Server 2012 areas.  Group Policy Windows Server 2012 has all the disabled Windows Firewall.  Trend Micro worry free Business Security Standard has its firewall also disabled by default.  QuickBooks Database Manager to run from the server.  File doctor confirms connectivity is in place and fully functional.  All other software titles work on computer network with zero problem whatsoever.  The only problem is to Intuit Quickbooks 2013 and the computer of Windows 8.  Windows 7 computers work fine in single and Multi User Mode.  When you try to put Quickbooks 2013 mode multiuser on the computer of Windows 8, the program is sitting there doing nothing.  You're finally at the end of task on the program in order to return to the desktop.  After testing the various components of our computer network to determine the source of the problem (several hours later), I determined that if I download Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security on the computer of Windows 8, Multi User Mode then opens without a problem on the computer of Windows 8.  It's very strange to me that a company the size of Intuit would have this incompatibility with the application very current Trend Micro antivirus.  But keep in mind that the problem only occurs on the computer of Windows 8.  I see an article in the knowledge base and online claiming that you need to open ports in firewall to define a list of approved programs.  The article is obviously written for Trend Micro PC-Cillin - an obsolete product.  My question is: How can I solve this problem with specific Trend Micro worry free Business Security Standard?  There is no closed firewall ports.  The network is wide open.  This is confirmed when I use the file doctor tool to test the ports/connectivity.  I would like to avoid having to uninstall Trend Micro of our entire Windows domain to reflect a problem with a single application on a single operating system using a specific antivirus application.  I hope that Intuit or Trend Micro or Microsoft offers a specific solution for this problem by using a known working solution.  I am an engineer network with 20 years of experience and I already spent at least 7 hours trying to solve this problem.  It is obvious to me that Trend Micro on specifically Windows 8 is done in a way that is somehow interfere with Quickbooks - yet this interference does not occur on Windows 7 computers - even if all the computers in the domain are configured in the exact same way.  Help, please.

Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security Standard 8.0 SP1 has completely solved the problem.  It is strange that the Service Pack did not show up as an alert in the Trend Micro Worry Free Business Standard 8.0 Console Security.  After the installation of SP1 manually, the problem has been resolved.  It is also strange it doesn't seem to be an article in the knowledge base that communicates entirely that this question can exist and that the installation of Trend Micro Worry free Business Security Standard 8.0 SP1 will solve the problem.
