Mix of colors based on a color wheel chart?

I want to take a color wheel and draw straight lines above it, and using the merge tool or another tool, I won't be able to have these lines to take on the colors of the below color wheel. Is there a way to do this, or a way to do something like that?

Thank you.

Ah, Stan.

I'm afraid, it was stronger than me, sorry: I chose the most silly possible interpretation: lines with the same colors as the color wheel below.

Assuming that the black lines at the start, you can:

(1) select all lines and the object > compound path > make;

2 (a) if they are simple lines removed, select for themselves that the wheel of color and in the transparency dialog box tick to make the opacity mask (Clip and reverse check mark).

2 (b) if they are rectangles/described features, select them and wheel color and another object > clipping mask > make or in the dialog box transparency tick to make the opacity mask (Clip and reverse check mark).

Features of Firefox Reset drop your old settings in a folder on your desktop named old data from Firefox. I suggest to keep this record for a few weeks (you can drag it to a new location if you wish) in case you should dig up any old data settings.

  • What are three color wheels?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I'm a bit confused about this.

3 wheels refer to the Red, Green and Blue in the picture? Or they relate to offset, gamma and gain?

I assumed it was red/green/blue and the user interface is just a little confusing because the gain sliders, the offset and the gamma main are next to them, but when you switch to sliders, they seem to be clearly labeled as gain, offset, and the gamma.

If they are offset, gain and gamma, which means, for example, to adjust the highlights 'offset' color wheel?

Dennis is a great and good man, MUCH of this program is its work... but the answer was a bit limited.

The color of the WHEEL's control of chroma (color) for the part of the dynamic range the SLIDER's control of luminance (light/dark) for the part of the dynamic range. If you have a trackball with ring, surround (like the Kensington Expert Mouse I've got) If you right click in the area of the wheel, you can use the ball to adjust saturation, rotate the ring to surround to lighten or darken this area.

Gamma/Gain/Offset of SpeedGrade controls are different than standard Lift/Gamma/Gain controls than most other ranking programs & use of applets/plug-ins. I'll start by LGG (like Resolve, Vegas)... controls part "Lift" mainly low dynamic range, with a third more touch to the central area. Gamma slides in the middle third essentially upwards or downwards, compression or stretching of the data on the 'other' end of the scale. Gain controls the upper third (sometimes in a realistic way more like half superior) dynamic range of stretch or compression, with some effect on the Gamma box (in the middle), very little about the section of the lift (bottom).

SpeedGrade, it is Offset/Gamma/Gain as described above... OGG... and that defined left command, 'pair' Offset control... are closest to say the 'exposure' command in Lightroom. Mainly, it shifts EVERYTHING to the top or to the bottom of the scale. See say RGB parade and move the slider of luminance for the ring of lag... There is a little more distance moved on the lower end, but EVERYTHING is moving. There are examples of using ramps of area/stage showing what the effects of these wheels have. Using the color of the section of the Offset wheel, making almost the same color changes to the top of the scale, but will indeed fall percentage some like it approaching headlights. It will have an effect up there, but not quite as well.

Gamma luminance/chrominance controls affect mainly the Middle 2/3rds of the image... If often, that is say the basic color correction is performed like he will do less to create a color cast in the highlights & shadows that offset or Gain will do.

Gain mainly affects the high third in Chroma... Luma control plays an important role in the expansion or compress the dynamic range total or visible contrast of the image. Raise the slider of luminance Gain much and shows the extent of the parade... your entire image will expand on the other hand. It will expand or compress the top one-third more than the 2/3 lower, but some move everything. Control of the Chroma (wheel) will affect especially superior third.

Where it becomes really intense... and useful... is there are three tabs above the wheels of color, shadow, midtones, & highlights... that break each of these areas in three third mainly sort of. In all three, control (left) Offset works the lower area, sliding Gamma medium area and Gain the top... especially but say the Luma Gain of the section of the Offset of lifting growth control upward in midtones slightly further, and can bring the "pivot" sliders control in game. These are commonly used controls for 'set' of the range of other tools and can increase the offset values in the midrange, or vice versa.

It's complicated at first but once you get the hang of it, these controls are amazing. I have spent a lot of time talking with people that 'live' most of their professional life say Resolve because of how their works post-maison... but LOVE the color wheels & other controls in SpeedGrade as when they get intuitive, can only do so much so fast.

  • Outdoor color wheel dial disappeared

    SpeedGrade 2014.2

Although the vertical sliders are still there, are more intuitive and I can use them, the outside dials in the color wheel disappeared. I have checked the update notes but can't find any reference to these removed voluntarily dials. I haven't used SpeedGrade recently so I can't say when this happened!

    Paul

I liked the outside wheels for luma also... and this is dang slick with my rig of Kensington trackball, with a 2-inch ball, surrounded by a ring. The rotating bezel adjusted luma, moving only the color wheel. Make Visual sense.

But... in 2014, they did better than us! One of those never-saw-TI-asked-for "upgrades" to the UI, perhaps?

According to them, only the outer ring was not as clear, obvious, and easy to use as a separate slider. The function is the same, a simple click and I can still use wheels & ring... but it was visually more sensible for me before.

  • Color in the color wheel do not correspond to the selected color

If you select a color and an attempt to change, the colors in the color wheel do not match colors in the dropdown list selected color.

For example. do a search for dolores, once loaded, click on the button change. Note that the color wheel does not match any of the colors of Dolores. Select one of the wide color in Dolores and you see a circle in the nail color wheel, but it does not match the color in the color combo, with that I work.

I guess it is a bug, but wanted to see if others see the same thing.

  • iMac, boots on the desk and then immediately crashes on the color wheel

Thanks for taking a peek at my question.

When I boot my iMac, everything starts up fine in the beginning - he's going right on the desktop, the mouse moves around and, if I'm quick, I can even click on 1 maybe 2 things until the computer completely locks the spinning wheel of death color.  I can still move the wheel on the screen with no latency, but I can't do anything in fact.  Typing on the keyboard does nothing, although the caps lock key will light up.  Boot in safe mode produces exactly the same results, except that it asks me to log in first.

Something must be start I need to get rid of, although I not much to install on this computer and rarely changes (it is a demo machine that lives in a small computer lab that I managed, off-grid). I never had any problems with it, then one day, this problem started.  Maybe I ran an update of the OS and that caused his crash?

I am very familiar with troubleshooting a Windows computer, but Mac does not really offer many intuitive troubleshooting options, IMO.  This seems to be a fairly simple matter to reslolve, but my research online have not produced results - people seem to suggest the safe mode and command line solutions, but safe mode doesn't change anything and I can obviously not open a command line to type anything.

The iMac was bought to 2010 and I'm 99% sure there Yosemite installed, but unfortunately I have no way to be able to check at the moment.

    Any help welcome, thanks!

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more: printer will not use BLACK ink to print in BLACK. Mix of colors rather than use BLACK.

Printer prints BLACK ink BLACK, instead he mixes the colours to make BLACK.  It creates copies in BLACK only, without mixing colors to achieve the BLACK, but when I ask it to print something it automatically uses the ink color.

In properties, advanced, I checked the box to print in BLACK only, but did not help.

In the printing preferences, shortcuts, where it says printing in grayscale, do you feel black ink only as a default?

I don't know if it will work, I do not use this parameter or the Advanced setting, I have been using high-quality grayscale, but I'm interested to know why, also, when I print 99.9% of the time with color, what I need to change the color ink cartridges so frequently.  You say the color of those who are used to make black.  That makes no sense to me either why the printer would do that, except high-quality grayscale means he uses color inks vs only Black Ink is not.

Test printed with two parameters, and that is exactly the same, so I won't set my default preferences for levels of gray-black ink only printing and see what happens.

What how can you tell whether or not the printer is mix colors?  (by the way, if you use unusually fast color ink)
