  Hi all

  I have some problems with an Agilent 8164 b Lightwave measurement system, is there a driver for this device to work with labVIEW?, the Programming Guide it says I should "convert", but I think that this option is available only with older versions of labVIEW (I have 8.6).

  Do not confuse the plug-and-play driver with LabVIEW envelope. Plug-and-play driver (dll, etc.) must be located in the IVIfoundation folder. In the \instr.lib folder should be the llb of LabVIEW functions which are of COLD LAKE to the dll. Attach an image of the windows Explorer you will fix any image.

• Reset password on 8164 stacked

  We have a pair of 8164 (v5.1.0.1 running) that have been setup by a previous administration.  We cannot find a password documented anywhere, and RAY wasn't Setup.  We try reset the password.  When we chose the 12 option in the start menu, the charge switch and became the secondary switch in the stack.  However, this means that we cannot access the CLI this button to reset the password.  I can easily reset the other switch, due to an incomplete wiring configuration (the other switch uplink only).

  I searched, but couldn't find that a password reset procedure for the stacked switches.  I need to reset the other switch and also put in password recovery mode to remove this?

  You need schedule downtime to bring down both switches. Running 12 of the boot menu option, while the secondary switch is turned off. Once the desired master is propelled upwards, then put the secondary switch the again.

  Sean,

  Yes you can.  It's a good practice when connecting to a battery, so that if one of the switches on the stack goes down you will always have connectivity.  When a stack is created, all other devices on the network see it as a simple switch and do not know what a stack.  So lag to several members of the virtual big switch (the stack) is perfectly acceptable.

• MLAG CORE + OF THE BATTERY TO ACCESS TO THE

  Hi all

  We replace our Powerconnect with N2048 switches to the access layer and N4032 (2) at the base.  I have never used stacking in the past and has been hope manage members as one.  Could it not also their delay to the kernel for redundancy and to stack switches access?  The core could be stacked as well, but I read MLAG is faster for failover.

  Should I have a problem with this config?

  Stacked switches act as a logical switch, which means you can use any port on a switch in the stack as a LAG member. The N-series manages group up to 8 ports. With a stack you will usually spread the LAG on multiple switches. This creates a scenario where you have spend a little redundancy and link redundancy.

  Example of config should look like this:

• S4048-ON - MLAG Question

  From the world of Cisco, I wanted to put two S4048s in a VSS mode.  Dell touts the MLAG via VLT abilities, but as far as I can tell, it is analogous to the Cisco Nexus VPC.  I'm therefore looking to separate control/management plans.  It is not possible to rethink the VSS as capabilities?  The reason why I ask, is I'm looking for high-times.  If I get only L2 abilities off SUVS, so I run VRRP between switches, but I am concerned about the convergence time.  I have not messed with VRRP a lot, but I was pretty happy with HSRP 2 convergence.  I can foresee periods of weak convergence with VLT + VRRP or should I consider going with a configuration of the stack instead?  Also, I used Cisco enough that I met of numerous warnings "featured".  Any configuration warnings, should I be aware of cases using the VLT or stacking?

  Well, I answered my question after his arrival in the whole of the additional documents (VLT).  What I'm looking for is "peer routing", which denies the necessity of VRRP.  If the two switches will actively transmit packets, instead to pass traffic through the VLTi.  There should not be problems of convergence as a result.  This is similar to Cisco VSS AFAIK, except control plans are separated on the side of Dell.

  I am still confused but problems with devices monoresident; See my post above.  I guess I can lab this place, but it is not clear in a scenario of equal routing, if these devices will be a problem.

• Implement MLAG with a single switch running

  IM MLAG with two N4032F to a server and failover and balancing of load testing work. A problem I encounter is that the MLAG interface is wrong until the two switches are running. Can I somehow force the MLAG interface then go to the top with a single switch running? Let's say after power failure, where only the switch starts.

  There is no option of customization on the re-convergence of a battery.  It is basically kicking a restart of the operating system on the box.

• Power died on the ENVY23

  I had my PC stop on me today and won't power back up.  When I tried to trace through the question, I see that the power supply on the cord no longer has the green light.  I tried other points of sale which had worked devices on them, but not luck.

  And advice on how to fix this?  I expect I will need to order a new power cord but have no idea where I'd get a.

  I have a problem with my laptop Qosmio Toshiba USB DVB - T TV Tuner and... I have install the Savvy TV as stated but when I insert the usb in the system tuner always respond with "unknown device" and won't let me assign the correct drivers.

  I tried to download the latest version of SavvyTV and follow the instructions in http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=8164&tstart=15 (restart every time and install in a good way) but the problem is always the same: usb not recognized and cannot be manually set the correct driver for the device.
  I tried also to delete the Windows registry with a name like trendy clientele, o usbdtv.inf without result after the reinstallation of the program.
  Could you please help me or suggest something?
