Mobile Server Lite - Lite Client - Oracle 11g RDBMS

Hi all

I am completely NEW to this and am a bit confused on the architecture. I understand that I need a client and mobile server acts as the middleware for the back-end database.

This back-end database, should be Oracle Database Lite 10.2.0.3 or is it Lite database what is actually installed on the Mobile device. I'm running a Database 11 g, the mobile server can synchronize with this database as well. What I have to activate something or is it in the configuration

I guess my next question, is there any condition installation on the mobile device or can Oracle Lite to be anchored in the deployment of some package?

I'm using SQLite and could not help but note that now there is a full synchronization, is there tutorials on how to do this, with complete installation?

http://www.Oracle.com/us/corporate/press/050861

Any help, tutorials, examples would be appreciated. I have already downloaded the PDF for the understanding of the Oracle Database Lite, like many aty Lite of Oracle database synchronization between the device and the data base.

Thanks in advance.

Jan

You can use the tool database Mobile Workbench to create a release of SQLite. This should get you started http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12095_01/doc.10303/e12090/mdw.htm#BABEJGDC

    If it's a sys user you will need to set the password file to connect to the database as sysdba user remotely. and we do not need to check if the privilege to connect is given to the sys user or not. adding to this remote_login_password check = EXCLUSIVE lock

  • Oracle 11g compatibility with oracle 10g and 9i?

    Hi all

    I have a few questions about the compatibility of 11g.

    Client Oracle 11g is compatible with oracle 10g client that is already installed on the desktop computer?

    If any changes to do so and where?

    Is oracle 11g oracle 10 g/9i on the same server where are installed the 10 g/9i compatible?

    Concerning

    If the question you ask yourself is 'Can I have multiple versions of the Oracle installed on the same client computer' or "Can I have several versions of the database Oracle installed on the same machine", the answer is Yes. As long as you install each version in another House of Oracle, and we are talking about versions 8.1.5 and upward, you can have as many different versions of the client and the database on the same machine as you wish. Of course, you are still subject to the support of operating system compatibility (e.g. Oracle 9.2 did not had been supported on Windows 2008, so do not expect to work).

    The only problem you may have would be with components that are not compatible with several House. This mainly affects third-party Windows drivers (drivers third party ODBC, etc.) who do not know how to work with multiple Oracle homes and end up using which version of the client Oracle happens to appear first in the path.

    I have to create the new mount for client installation point?
    Through the application server, I will access (rac) database server.

    I have enough space available in / or root mount point.
    I have space in / opt mounting point, can I make a directory in/opt/OU1/app and install the client at this place in the access database?

    You can install in any desired point of installation/directory. Oracle does not give a flying fig this topic. Just put it somewhere that makes sense.

  • Oracle 11g (11.2.0.1.0) client installed on Windows server standard edition 2012 - question

    Hello

    When I tried to install oracle client (Oracle 11 g (11.2.0.1.0)) client installed on Windows server 2012 standard edition got following error.

    "ins-13001 environment does not meet the minimum requirements. 64 bit Windows 2012"

    So, I have two concerns.

    1. any solution to solve this problem?

    2. If I install 12 c Client, will I connect Oracle database 11 g (11.2.0.4.0) using 12 c customer?

    Please support.

    With our thanks

    Ngoyi.

    Certainly can (and probably should) use 12 c client.  Oracle certifies customers until two major releases far they connect to databases.  Are all of my db 11.2.0.4, but I've been installing only customers of 12 c for a couple of years now.

  • Newbie: Mobile Server and Oracle DB must be on the same server?

    Hello Forum...

    I have problems to install the mobile server (ver. 10.3.0.2.0).

    First of all, I tried to install within an instance of the OAS (ver. 10.1.3.0.0) - I could not set the password of the mobile server oc4j account in enterprise manager server application and is stuck there. Also, I couldn't connect to webtogo as mobile server administrator.

    Second, I have installed the version of stand-alone mobile server, but when I run the 'runmobileserver.bat' I get the following error:

    09/08/22 12:54:21 log9: connect as: MOBILEADMIN
    09/08/22 12:54:21 log9: Mobile Server ID not found, impossible to register.
    09/08/22 12:54:21 log9: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Like the previous time, I couldn't connect to the webtogo as mobile server administrator. [OS: windows 2003 Enterprise in both cases]

    I was informed by my dba that Oracle mobileserver will work only if it is installed on the same server as the backend database. Is this true?

    Thank you
    j - p.

    Hi J - P,

    When you installed the mobile server in stand-alone mode, repwizard was not performed or has failed.
    Try to rerun repwizard with: $ORACLE_HOME/mobile/server/admin/repwizard
    You can check the log file in $ORACLE_HOME/mobile/server/repository.log to see if there is a critical error,
    the repwizard should save your mobile server, you can consult this table: mobileadmin.mobileserver_instances so you can see your host name and port.

    On the Mobile Server OAS installation, you should not need to use the oc4jadmin password as if you installed OAS 10.1.3 and run the runinstaller lite Oracle to install Oracle lite 10.3.0.2. in the same ORACLE_HOME with run of the OAS, it should automatically deployed the mobile server j2ee application in the OAS.

    Kind regards.
    Marc
    PS: To change the OC4JADMIN password you can use the note: Note.460314.1 Ext/Pub cannot establish a connection with OC4J instance mobileserver on application server

  • How to start the oracle database server and its client in windows 8

    Hi all

    I am a new entry in this forum and I am a beginner with oracle database.

    I always used SQL Server as the database, and it was easy to use after installation.

    With management program configuration of SQL Server I could to start service SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS) and the database server start!

    With SQL Server management studio, I was able to launch the client application, then was to establish a connection to the server and everything worked great!

    Now, how to work with the oracle database?

    I installed the oracle server and client version 11g R2 in windows 8, but how do I start the database?... and how can I start the client application to query?

    best wishes in advance.

    PS: Sorry for my English.

    If you are on the same machine, the only service that you absolutely need to start is the database service.  In your case OracleServiceSYSDBA (hmmm... How did you find with this name?).

    For queries, you can use SQL * Plus which should also be installed.  If you want something GUI, you can use SQL Developer (you need to install separately I think).

    Your Lstener knows nothing about services. You must configure the dynamic record of service in your database, for example

    ALTER system set local_listener = "(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS =(PROTOCOL=TCP) (HOST = CBR-SRV-HPORA. CIBER-INDIA. IN) (PORT = 1522))) ';

    (for permanent fixing forget pfile or spfile)

    After the database records the address und thie services you will see the service when you ask "srvctl services oracle11g_listener.

  • Oracle 11g Client queries

    Hello

    Is it possible to create 2 customers Oracle under the same OS user (GR 11) 2/RHEL - which is 32 bit and the other with 64 bit?

    Is it possible to uninstall say a 32-bit Client Oracle by using the 64-bit oracle configuration?

    How can I be sure that an Oracle Client pre-installed on a machine gave me is 32-bit or 64-bit.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Yes, it's the customers oracle s possible 2 32 and 64 bits on the same OS.
    If the Oracle Client is 32 bit, it will contain a "lib" folder But if it's a customer of Oracle 64-bit, it will 'lib' and 'lib32' records.

  • change port number for the mobile server after installation

    Jin
    I use windows 2003 server release 2, Server Oracle 11 g R2 and oracle database lite 10g R3. I installed successfully the mobile server with port 80, but when I start the mobile server I get an error message indicating that port 80 is already in use. Now, I need to change the port number of the mobile server. can someone tell me the solution.

    If the Oracle Lite installation type is INDEPENDENT, then to change the port number of Olite in any other available free port number, you must edit the file by default-web - site.xml or site.xml - web-http file present in $OLITE_HOME/mobile_oc4j/j2ee/mobileserver/config directory.

    You can at any time change the port in the file http web - site.xml and bounce services, the new port will take effect.

    Hi all

    I'm currently installing an Oracle 11 g Express on Open Suse 13.1 in a virtual machine.

    I used the document as a reference for my installation: Oracle Database Express Edition

    I have a facility of Open Suse 13.1 vanilla except for these changes:

    • I adjusted/etc/hostname to OpenSuse, in order to avoid special characters in the host name
    • I increase the 2045 to 2049 MB SWAP partition to ensure the minimum configuration

    I downloaded the RPM and extract. Then I started the installation

    sqlplus sys / as sysdba

    or

    sqlplus system /.

    Note: the password is case sensitive!

    or disable this as SYSDBA (sqlplus sys / as sysdba):

    ALTER SYSTEM SET SEC_CASE_SENSITIVE_LOGON IS FALSE SCOPE = BOTH;.

    3.

    Set the password:

    ALTER DEFAULT PROFILE LIMIT PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME UNLIMITED;

    and restart

    stop immediately;

    start-up;

    4.

    I created a /ect/profile.local file with:

    . /U01/app/Oracle/product/11.2.0/XE/bin/oracle_env.sh

    Thus, every time you start, it will set the environment.

    It's my Profile.local:

    . /U01/app/Oracle/product/11.2.0/XE/bin/oracle_env.sh

    ORACLE_HOME=/U01/app/Oracle/product/11.2.0/XE

    ORACLE_OWNER = oracle

    ORACLE_SID = XE

    LSNR = $ORACLE_HOME/bin/lsnrctl

    SQLPLUS = $ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus

    Export ORACLE_HOME

    export ORACLE_SID

    export ORACLE_BASE = / u01/app/oracle

    export PATH = $ORACLE_HOME/bin: $PATH

    NLS_LANG='$ORACLE_HOME/bin/NLS_LANG.sh'

    ORACLE_ADMIN = / u01/app/oracle/admin / $ORACLE_SID

    export ORACLE_ADMIN

    ORACLE_FLASH = / u01/app/oracle/fast_recovery_area / $ORACLE_SID

    export ORACLE_FLASH

    ORACLE_ALERT = / u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/xe/XE/trace

    export ORACLE_ALERT

    ORACLE_DATA_PUMP_DIR = / u01/app/oracle/admin/XE/dpdump

    export ORACLE_DATA_PUMP_DIR

    DIAGNOSTIC_DEST = $ORACLE_HOME/log

    export DIAGNOSTIC_DEST

    TNS_ADMIN = $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin

    Export TNS_ADMIN

    5.

    Recreate the DBSNMP user in the database as SYSDBA (sqlplus sys / as sysdba):

    @/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe/rdbms/admin/catnsnmp.sql

    @/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/xe/rdbms/admin/catsnmp.sql

    Best regards.
