Model number:-15-n010TX: windows 8.1 update

Hi all

My HP PC came with Windows preinstalled 8, and I decided to get the updated Windows 8.1 for myself. Now I am running Windows 8.1 and my question is - is - it possible for me to create recovery discs Windows 8.1 or I don't have the ability to create recovery discs for the operating system that my PC has been bundled with i.e. Windows 8?

Thank you

Hello:

You only have to create a set of recovery W8 discs since it is the original operating system provided with your PC.

You can do a recovery image using the tool built into W8.1 and save on a portable hard drive.

You can update it as many times as you want (the older image is replaced).

You can use it more than a startup disk USB recovery to restore the last W8.1 image that you created if you need.

http://www.pctechbytes.com/Windows-8/create-system-image-Windows-8-1/

Here's how to create the bootable to access your system image recovery disk.  You need not copy the partition recovery for it since your recovery image is to W8.

  • Update the series/model number in the BIOS (ThinkPad 2nd Gen Helix)

Hello! I have a ThinkPad 2nd Gen Helix (model 20CG000QUS), I replaced the motherboard in (because I'm with a Lenovo authorized service depot), but I'm unable to update the series/model number in the BIOS. I tried the utilties USB and bootable diskette and nor will not work (I can't boot from either one sense). This is despite me turning off the Secure Boot option in the BIOS. When I enter my credentials for the key to maintenance/diskette, I find the download ok in, but on the page for the supported systems for this key maintenance/diskette, the Helix model I have is NOT LISTED. I tried to update using other utilities and I get the words of INVA LID, and I can only replace the "LID". So, basically, I'm stuck.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  • How to update the model of RDS for Windows Server 2012 collection?

    Hi team,

I want to know how to update the collection of RDS model (model master sysprep) which is used to create the collection?

I tried the below way but did not get the update of the collection of virtual machines.

-Start the image of mater of sysprep

    -install the required components

-resysprep the image and stop it

-East went to the RDS Collection and added new virtual machines in collection (removed the old his)

Once created, I opened a session in the machines, but I don't see the updates (I installed some software in the sysprep image however and no is not there in the virtual machines in the pool)

Can someone let me know if I need to create a whole collection again or the way I do it is a proper way? If it's a good way what could be the reason why I get the new installed software model sysprep image in virtual machines created in the pool, based on the model?

How do we actually updated for security and other regular patches updated in virtual machines? In my view, we use the same approach?

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

  • I can't install Windows 8 on my Asus (model number: U56e)?

I have installed the Windows Upgrade Assistant, went through the whole purchase Windows 8 Pro and uninstalled all unnecessary programs, which were Norton Symantec and Wifi Intel ProSet software.

After that the screen turns blue and it says at the top that I have to wait a while, and the computer may restart several times.  But before it restarts it stops at 90%, every time that I tried this happens.  Is there something that I remember to do at some point?
Again, for my Asus model number is U56E.  Help, please.  I already paid for it, and I wouldn't claim because I'd love to have Windows 8.

You may want to consider choosing the option "Keep personal files only" do the upgrade. Can a faulty application or driver prevents the upgrade to complete successfully.

Besides being able to keep your Windows settings and personal files, you can keep your personal files too during the upgrade to Windows 7. If you choose No, Windows 8 place your files in a folder named Windows.old.

  • TECRA M10 (models PTM40E/PTM42E) for Windows 7 upgrade

    Hello
We have two former TECRA M10 (models PTM40E and PTM42E) and you want to update the PC now for Windows7. After the installation of a new (larger) HARD drive, we ran the recovery DVDs. After that recovery completed successfully, we have installed a version of Windows 7 Professional (replacing the recovered Win - XP) and let Windows Update all the drivers on the Internet. After installation is complete, the majority of work and PC applications of material (e.g. display drivers where found and installed, stylus for touch screen works). But touch rotation does not work, the touchpad has also no scroll function).

We found 47 drivers Toshiba basic support, but not of documentation on how to use them.

    Can we using this forum?

    Thanks in advance...

    Peter

Are you sure you have Tecra M10? M4 maybe?

On the Toshiba download page, I found only Tecra M4 with model number PTM40E and PTM42E.

  • Product Information from Toshiba tool model number is "invalid".

Just received alert Tempro about upgrading Windows 10 (currently on Windows 7)
It will list all products which could be upgraded to Windows 10
It seems to do that no list for my Satellite C855-1J0
I used the Toshiba product information tool that returns information identical to that on the plate on the base of the machine.
On which type in the update of Windows 10 box, she's back in is not a valid model number.

The machine was bought in a shop chain throughout the country, so there is no reason to doubt of authenticity.

Is the info on the specific plate?
If so, then why not identified by the compatibility of Windows 10 list?
Is it right for the upgrade?
I have already registered on the Microsoft website "get Windows 10'.

Toshiba take in charge that the nine models of laptops for Windows 10. For them, less than two years older laptops models are 'old' models? They don't even support Windows 8.1 laptop models for Windows 10, not to mention these models like yours with Windows 7 installed.

Who cares what you said Microsoft, if Toshiba does support your drivers for Windows 10 laptop model because they like to have small extra margin on your model, it is not good to install Windows 10 no mater what Microsoft compatibility app tells you. Next time buy those brands that will support new drivers for laptop, more than three years, not those who, like Toshiba, who support only nine drivers with new laptop models.

  • Windows will not update the screen resolution and the color depth

Out of the blue today, my Windows XP installation had its color depth and screen resolution back to the lowest setting and whenever I try to update it refuses to put up-to-date.

I even try to restart my computer and a bubble appears downstairs offering reset the color depth and resolution to my automatically.  When I click, it appears as if he's trying to return to normal, but again once nothing happens - the colors and the screen resolution is still at the lowest setting.

Can any ideas on how I fix?

    Hello

Here are some things to try to fix it.

    Change the screen resolution.

"How the resolution screen on Windows XP"

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Videocards/HT/screenres.htm

You can also right-click on an empty desktop > properties > settings > it the slider bar allows you to increase the resolution > Apply > OK > agree in the next window, etc.

If that fixed it, have damaged you graphic drivers.

Access the site on your computer or the manufacturer of the graphics card > look for a driver download Section > search for your model number and operating system > get graphics / video / Chipset Drivers (depending on how it is formulated) > download and install.

    Change the screen resolution.

You can also try a system restore before all these problems started:

"How to use System Restore in Windows XP"

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/HT/system-restore-XP.htm

    See you soon.
