Money 2004 XP restore backup on replacement computer

My old XP computer had a failure full processor/motherboard.
I bought a new device running windows 7.
I installed my old HDD as an additional unit [in the course of execution independently], but when I try to use the old HARD disk Money backup file, the computer fails to recognize the location of the backup file.
All I want to do is restore all my old data to the new HARD drive.
Any offers?

I have problems to find where the Blackberry Desktop Manager is to store my backup files.  A search on my computer for .ipd files shows nothing.  I did a backup of my original device and wants to restore the contacts, calendar, and photos.

Edit: After another attempt at original device backup and restoring the device the Desktop Manager has the restore button grey replacement.  In addition, the device PIN reads "zero" with unit replacement set.

Thanks, the third try was the charm.  The Documents folder was there and the PIN has been finally recognized and restore is complete.

Just a question because I don't think we need 2 notebooks more, so would be nice to not have to buy one additional laptop just to get my time capsule backup. Any help much appreciated.

In Quicken, click file | Importing files. One of the options is

    Hi abgolf3,

The question may be how the new hard drive has been formatted.  Take a look at the way in which the reader is implemented by clicking Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > double-click on computer management > double-click storage.  Is all the space on the disk are responsible?  If so, take a look at these two documents for your problem:

    Mark a partition as active

Format a hard drive or partition to NTFS format

  • Win 7: incrementing error backup and restore previous "Windows backup has not been implemented" and that "Windows cannot find a backup for this computer".

    * - Title original - Win 7: incrementing previous backup and restore

Last week, I did a "backup and recovery" on my Win 7 64 bit computer, create a folder WindowsImageBackup 118 GB on an external HARD drive.

I like incremental backup the same material on a base weekly, I tried to do the first incremental backup this morning.
However, my "Backup and Restore" menu control configuration\systeme and securite\ tells me that "Windows backup was not put in place" and that "Windows cannot find a backup for this computer", even if the external HARD disk is attached and recognized.
How can I set B R & to realize progressively the same backup that I did last week?  I don't want the schedule to run regularly, but will do it manually.
    Thank you

  • Restore backup XP to clean disk

I did a backup on XP on a removable drive.

    Installed a new hard drive.

Program to backup/restore in XP, how to enter the. BKF file, she asks that obviously is not on the new hard drive, everything I have there is the newly installed XP o/s. ? I don't see one. BKF in the backup set I did: I got plenty backup.zip file and folder catalogs I have one. GlobalCatalog.wbcat file?

So, how do I restore to restore in fact my last backup I made before replacing the old hard drive to my PC?

    Hello

Unfortunately, we cannot restore files on Windows XP if the files are saved via the center of backup and restore in Windows Vista.

In addition, if you use the backup of the computer and you want to restore the files to another computer; This computer must have the same exact material for this system to start. Measure where a complete PC Backup is a complete system, including system-specific device drivers, restore that backup on a system with a different hardware will result in numerous errors.

Currently, if you have saved the files via the backup center and restoration (not full backup PC), you can restore the files to a computer running Windows Vista. If you have only one computer that is running Windows XP, you must install Windows Vista on it first and then restore the files to the Windows Vista. In the restore files Wizard, you have the individual files select ability to restore from your backup.

  • Restore questions after replacing the hard drive

  • MSINWINPC - FBW files and restore, backup Dec 2009 concerns, concerns given PC June 2011

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I did a back up of my data in December 2009 and I was wondering what is happening during a restore because I read that FWB is an extension for the backup file that is created. It compresses all the saved data and it incorporates in a single file so that it develops the files when performing a restore.

What happened to my computer from my backup, it's that I had to install the Windows Vista Service Pack 2, which has consistently failed. To cut to the Chase, I contacted HP and everything they suggested the partition of hard drive HP factory reset factory reset, does not work properly and therefore all erased my disk hard but does restore all apps doing so my computer a brick. But since then, I contact Microsoft who kindly helped me with my cmputer and it is now working very well. (Thanks a lot).

In any case, since the restore will be expanded I have 3 fear and would like advice on how I should go about restoring:

    1. the data amounts to 35.8 GB is currently on my external hard drive and free space on my drive hard is only 38 GB. If the files are all developed the 35.8 GB of data will take over 38GB?

    2. If I wanted to restore only certain files (I have a master's thesis I want to find and restore), copy the data to a file on my C drive before using the backup and Restore Center on my computer to find the file and restore?

    3. I'm worried that the old files that are saved can conflict with existing files I have been restoring my computer (like copying and pasting a file with the same name). I have to worry about this at all if I had to restore my backup data?

    Thank you

    Hi Densebrains

Yes, the files get expanded after a restore of the backup is performed and the free space, you mentioned not be enough to restore the backup. When restoring files is performed on the computer disk files with the same name are replaced and you will get a prompt notifying replace it taking place.

  • Microsoft Money 2004 cannot open my previous .mny file after you have reinstalled my PC!

I used a .mny file with my MS Money 2004 without problems.

After having reinstalled my PC (Windows XP) and reintall with the same version of money, when I tried to open my file it asks for my password but delivers so the following error (after trying to convert the file!): "money cannot locate 'path\file.mny' or cannot open, possible because this is the file read-only or you are not allowed to change or your hard disk is write protected".

Needless to say, none of these conditions are met. I tried to restore from a backup file, but the error was just the same.

  • Restore backup text messages?

I was buy storage additional iCloud for my iphone.  It has supposedly been backup in the iCloud regularly, most recently yesterday morning (according to the info on the phone).  I've never had a need to access the backup, but yesterday afternoon, I inadvertently deleted a thread of text message I intended to keep it.  I was relieved to discover, ater googling how to restore deleted texts on an iPhone, that my text messages are allegedly saved automatically through this backup regular iCloud and I should be able to restore it.  However, when signing my account iCloud (to www.icloud.com), it's not even click on an icon of 'Message '.  To add to my confusion, when I click on the "Photo" icon, it is said that my iCloud photo library is empty. By clicking on "Mail" and "Contacts", there is some information at this location, but it's clearly not current. What I am doing wrong?  Where is the information?  Supposedly I use a a little more than 9 GB on the 50 GB I have (according to the 'storage' graphic bar, but it doesn't seem to be there.)  Thank you-

A backup only to do a full restore or to set up a new device. The complete restoration will completely replace the current contents of the phone with content from the time the backup was made - that is to say, all the contained not only the Messages. The contents of a backup cannot be seen by logging into https://www.icloud.com/

How to restore: iCloud: restore or implement your iCloud iOS device

What you see on the pictures, Contacts, etc. to https://www.icloud.com/ is information that has been synchronized to iCloud via having specific settings on (for example, settings > iCloud > Contacts etc.). There is no option to synchronize Messages. Synchronization and backup are two different things.

You can see the details (type and quantity, but not the data itself) of which is using your iCloud storage space via the settings > iCloud > storage > storage management.

  • How do I restore the backup from iPad Mini if the button "restore backup...". "is grayed out?

    Hello

Yesterday, I tried to downgrade my iPad Mini 2 (128 GB) of 9.3 to 9.2 of iOS in DFU mode. Before that, I backed up my iPad in iTunes. After decommissioning, apparently all of my 3rd party apps have been wiped out, and that left me with a huge 'other' part of the use of the iPad. So I decided to reset the iPad and erase everything. I noticed that after the reset, the iOS returned to 9.2.1.

When I plugged the iPad to my computer later, and tried to restore the backup, I got the message "the backup cannot be restored for iPad because the software is too old". In addition, in the iTunes iPad summary page, the button "restore backup... "is grayed out.

I guess it's because I backed up my iPad to iOS 9.3, and now it's 9.2.1. But y at - it another way to restore backup of iTunes? Or do I have to update to 9.3 first? iOS 9.3 is currently unavailable (last week it was, however).

    Thank you!

You cannot restore a more recent iOS backup on a device that has an older iOS. You have saved when running iOS 9.3 and your device is now in 9.2.1. You must update the device until backup, you can ise. Unfortunately, as you know, the update is no longer available. Apple shoot because there were significant problems.
