• Weird Duel Monitor problem

  Today I was out a game Civilization 5 (ive had this problem with other games that change the screen resolution) when I noticed the normal problem of my being screwed up moniter settings. My problem is that after leaving the game as my 2 left and Monday 1 are on the right side in the display settings (so in front of what they should be.) Monday 2 is also on the ground of 800 x 600. When we at 1920 x 1080. I can then move the moniters to on the right side with a single click to apply but it is very difficult to fix Monday 2 to sound correct ground. Most I can right now seems to define my 2. East of 1280 x 1024 (Native ground of LUN 1).

  If any of you can help me understand why this happens whenever I play a game that defines my ground Monday 1. at 800 x 600 in use and the best way to fix it, please tell me.

• Need help to create a storage report/monitoring

  vFoglight V 6.1

  So our storage has been really slow lately by some of our virtual machine crawl. Whenever I talk to our team of storage, that they speak for EMC and the answer is BUY new more fast/drives or take VM off the LUNS are getting slammed. Well that's fine, but now I have a few LUNS with more space free 300Gig because they can not will not try and work with me to find a solution.
  I need to create a report and monitor my LUN so that they show that last year the "slowness" was getting worse. Just storage model reports show stats 'space' unless I'm not totally see models of storage performance.
  Y at - there someone here who can lead me in the right direction to create reports of storage/performance problems? Is there some sort of pre canned reports, I do not see or a 'cartridge', I'm missing here?

  The reason why you get n/a, it is that the data do not exist. Queue length data are only available once we deployed agents OS like VMware does not provide this in a meaningful way (I am happy check if you can show me otherwise) monitoring. Disk latency information should however be available but only for the host ESX 4 and vCenter 2.5 U4 and later as this was the point where she became exposed.

  LRM keeps the value of active LRM in the form of a key in the LDAP database(Calabrio's). And all the services/clients use this key to determine which server LRM, they have to connect to.

  Then when the VoIP LUN SS is looking for this key in it is the own Server LDAP database and is unable to connect to this server in the key, this means that it is either the IP address of the IP address of inactive server(Slave's) LRM or they have problems of network/firewall connection between the two servers.

  Could be several reasons such as questions in the data base LDAP, no update of CVD, or simple connectivity problems.

  For the moment, do the following step by step:

  1) Restart the LRM service on the Master Node(Node 1)

  2) Restart the LRM service on the Slave Node(Node 2)

  3) Restart the LDAP Monitor on the Master Node

  4) Restart the LDAP Monitor on the Slave Node

  5) Restart the CCX Engine on the Master Node. (Note, this will failover the mastership from the Node 1 to Node 2)

  6) Once the Engine is up on Node 1, restart the CCX Engine on the Node 2 to fail the mastership back to Node 1

  This should ensure that the key to the address of the Active Server LRM is reset in the nodes (no problem in cardiovascular disease, on the other, you must restart the server after you complete the steps above considering).

• CF Storage ALUA, LUN trespassing and some doubts

  First of all thank you all for this great community!

  I'm setting up a cluster of small vSphere 5.5 and everything seems to be ok, but I have my doubts that I want to share. The configuration is the following:

  VMware ESX 5.5u2 with two single HBA Emulex 8 G. (Host_HBA1 and Host_HBA2)

  NetApp E2724 FC 8 G (two ports per controller) dual controller and configuration active theorytically. (Controller1_Port1, Controller1_Port2, Controller2_Port1, Controller2_Port2)

  Two switches from Brocade s300 with single initiator zoning for multiple targets (Switch1: Host_HBA1 Controller1_Port1 and Controller2_Port1 and Switch2: Host_HBA2 Controller1_Port2 and Controller2_Port2)

  Wiring seems to be OK and vSphere detects 4 paths per LUN, defines the driver seat automatically Robin and defines two active paths (e/s) and the other two as Active.

  In the Netapp LUNS are configured as LUN in VMware O.S. (they are Dinamic disk pools Volumes) and TRA seems to be enable for this kind of host.

  Well, I tried different tests (Storage VMotion between different LUNS, VMware IO monitor, create and delete virtual machines...) and everything seems to work smoothly. Strange behavior only I noticed is that when you create the storage system volumes, they are assigned to one or the other controller, and they have a "preferred owner" (ALUA). When, for example, I make a storage VMotion between two data warehouses (I have a store of data by logical unit number) and that LUN have different "privileged" controllers (LUN1 in Controller1 and LUN2 to Controller2) I noticed that the LUN2 is automatically moved to the Controller1. I don't know if this is normal behavior to improve performance or I have some configuration problem (I have a message in the journal of NetApp storage which States: I/O volume shipment implicit transfer and eventually an alarm logic unit number is not in the controller preferred). I guess the multi-channel driver using AVT to send the LUN to the same controller, but as I said, I don't know if this is normal. Would be nice if someone can clarify this point. The Storage VMotion finished well and no disk problem appears.

  NetApp's official response is that they are aware of the problem and it will be fixed in a future firmware version.

  I have an ESX environment into a cluster of BL460G6 and 4 VMware ESXi, 4.1.0 installation 348481 in it.

  You must have an Enterprise license.

  Then check in the properties of the data store to see if the IGCS flag is set.

  For NOTTM there is a column in the list of data store where you can see if if on acceleration or not.

  I don't know, but if you have the ability to monitor your SAN LUN space via snmp or other methods of monitoring, then I would.  Other than that, I'd keep just a manual look on them.

  OK, I checked and my memory was a little off.

  Press d to switch to the stats/disk storage,

  Press tiny e to expand/rollup storage stats, enter vmhbaxx (attention, typing have to start on a typing mistake)

  then lower case a to expand the channel type vmhbax:y, where x is your adapter you have entered the 1st command and there is your TV (usually zero)

  then enter lower case t to enter targer to develop vmhbax:y:z where XY: same as above and z = target ID (target ID column - the labels at the top of the columns are arranged in the order, you must enter.

  then enter l low case for name of the lun that you want to extend vmhbax:y:z:n where n is the number of LUNs (COVER for column label.

  In the example I have attached my last entry was vmhba1:0:0:2.    I've highlighted a virtual machine where I ran defrag display data

• Need help to find an adapter for a third-party monitor

  Hi all! I find myself in need of a little guidance, and I hope that someone out there will have a quick n easy for me...

  I have a Mid-2011 27 'iMac. which has two ports Thunderbolt It is taken with a Wacom tablet that I use constantly, and the other is made by an external hard drive to a solid state, which has a built-in cable to Thunderbolt (no way to hang it on a different port). I also have a 27 "HP monitor that is currently connected via an HDMI USB adapter.

  The problem is that the HP monitor is actual "jiggy" - the USB does not seem fast enough to deal with requests for the monitor. It is almost unusable. I know I should run it via a HDMI adapter Thunderbolt, but as I have already mentioned the two my Thunderbolt ports are already in use.

  Someone at - it ideas? I need sort of three to two ports Thunderbolt hooks, but I can't seem to find anything for less than $300 that would work. (I am illiterate when it comes to the different cables, adapters, ports, etc., so I hope someone can point me in the right direction by using short words... Most of the products that I travel through list specifications that me Chicane).

  The monitor has two HDMIs and a VGA port, and my iMac has a Firewire 800 port, if that helps at all...

  2011 iMac have only 1 Thunderbolt port and there is no such thing as a Mid-2011, you must have an iMac of year later, if it has 2 ports Thunderbolt. All the 27 "iMacs, from 2012 to 2015 the current have 2 ports Thunderbolt.

• MBP: monitor detected but no image except by VGA

  I have a MBP of Mid 2012 running latest El Capitan.

  When I connect to an external monitor, it is detected correctly in views (exact name, resolution, etc.), but the monitor doesn't detect any image from the portable computer. I tried the DVI - D and DisplayPort with various cables and monitors with the same result, but a picture appears if I connect to VGA. It started in the past week.

  The built-in display does not work normally.

  Looks like a hardware failure in the computer DisplayPort connector laptop, as the pins are worn or something?

  Any other ideas?

  Recently upgraded to Mac OS Sierra and Activity Monitor to close unexpectedly when running back plan left (do not smoke and open the activity monitor window) to a blank desktop when you use an application in another office. Clean install I tried but the activity monitor would still be down at random times when left running in the background to another empty office. Someone at - there experience this problem? For most browsing on the web using Safari on another desktop computer when Activity Monitor quit unexpectedly.

  OS: macOS Sierra: 10.12 (installed via the upgrade, own installed after this problem).

  Do not forget that you are using the activity monitor version which was installed when you upgraded to Sierra. Activity monitor located in the your Mac utilities folder.

  If you have moved a previous version to a different location, it will not work.

  If you are using the correct version, post crash report. Error reports lies in the application of the Console under System reports or reports from usersand end in the suffix .crash. If you choose to do so, omit or hide any information that you consider personal.

  This facility has worked with El Capitan (2 Thunderbolts-> DisplayPort + HDMI 1 = 3 monitors).

  Update of macOS Sierra - as soon as I connect a 3rd monitor (any order) - it freezes the whole system. Two monitors works very well

  There has been a lot of complaints of not being able to use the resolution full screen on 3 monitors of party, who has worked in El Capitan.  I've seen all the problems such as you report.

  However, I guess the graphics driver passed under changes in the Sierra, and it is possible, that this is yet another side effect.

  You may very well be a bug, so that developers know that there is still another problem with the graphics driver Sierra

  I have a setup of 3 monitor for work. I need to have my video capture software, Media Express, on the primary and secondary monitor. On my 3rd monitor, I wish I had Final Cut for editing.

  Does anyone have a solution for this?

  In setting system preferences displays, displays as an extended desktop, and then drag one poster rather than another. For more information, scroll down to the last section on how to "implement some screens for implementing mirrored and extended desktop":
