• Why the curves adjustment, often in front of which layer is the standard?

  When I do a PS CC2015 curves adjustment layer often the graph is opposite, so to make an image, I have to make the curve rises and light, have to go down.  Why it does this?

  It's driving me crazy and looks odd and makes me think that I work badly.

  In the curves adjustment layer properties click on the upper right. In the drop-down menu, choose Display Options of the curves where light vs Pigmentf/ink radio buttons control the meaning of the scales of the layer of setting the tone.

  I recently moved from Photoshop CS3 to CS5 on the PC. When I create or use a layer of curves in CS3, if I CTRL-click on the image, it adds the curve points to the value of the image and if I CTRL-drag on the image, it would show a cursor move along the curve based on the values of the image. Both very useful. Doesn't seem to work in PS CS5. Am I missing something?

  Try clicking on the small hand icon in the upper left corner of the dialog box curves CS5 - then you get a pipette for your cursor and you run this over the image, you will see the small sphere up and down the diagonal line in curves. To place a point on the RGB composite curve, just click. To place a point on the 3 R, G and B curves you Ctrl + Shift + click.

  The difference lies in that the [Object Layer] is the real object, and the 'name' is a property - like color.

  You can use one of these two approaches:

  var myOriginalLayer = app.activeDocument.layers.item (0);
  Alert (myOriginalLayer.Name);

  hosts the original layer object, and you can see the name if necessary :-)

  For re - select the layer, use

  app.activeDocument.activeLayer = myOriginalLayer;

  You can also select name goes like

  var myOriginalLayerNAME = app.activeDocument.layers.lastItem () .name;

  ...

  app.activeDocument.activeLayer = app.activeDocument.layers.item (myOriginalLayerNAME);

  I also noted the following:

  app.activeDocument.layers.item (0) points to the first layer of your document; not the 'active'. Similarly, app.activeDocument.layers.lastItem () points only to the very last. I don't know if the order of the activeDocument.layers array mimicks the order as shown in the tags palette, but I hope for it :-)

  To get/set the active layer, use app.activeDocument.activeLayer as shown above.

  I am looking to create a form that if need an additional request can be consulted and seen that if turned on by button or a certain type of trigger. The second part of the form would also require the choice of answers or fill in the fields. Is this possible?   Yes, it can be done. A button can be set up to show a layer, as well as hidden fields.

  Add a button, make the layer visible through the layers panel and then go to properties of the button Actions tab and add a new trigger to mouse to the top. Then select the command "Set layer visibility. You can also use the "show/hide a command" to view fields associated with this layer, under the same trigger.

• Merge images & draw the layer and change the layer of the image?

  Im working on a picture of a bird where I put a white square on a single layer (drawing layer) and an image on the layer below. Then, I deleted some parts of the white to make sure the image was the lineart, if that makes sense. Now, I want to use a different image as "coloring" for the wings of a bird, but I can't do that unless I am able to er parts an image layer or merge a draw and the layer of the image and it would end by like a drawing layer. How to be people?

  Sorry, you can not bring draw as editable files .ai files. Currently they can only be brought as a Photo layer.

• Why are the curves "reversed" after the conversion to grayscale ACR?

  I have the version of Photoshop CS5 12.0.1.  If I do a conversion to grayscale in Adobe Camera Raw, and then open the image in Photoshop and add a curves adjustment layer, the curve is the 'bad' round sense with the white dot on the left of the curves graph, while the black point is located on the right. However if I add a levels adjustment layer, the graph of levels is as it is usually the black dot to the left and the white point right there.

  If I open the image in ACR in color without making a conversion to grayscale, the curves layer is also as expected - black point to white point and left to right.  Can someone explain why it is reversed after a grayscale conversion in ACR?

  It's a good question; the default value for grayscale images seems to be Pigment/Ink% instead of light, leading to the "recovery" you describe.

  The good news is that the default is separate for color images and black and white, and sticky, so you can change it around this way:

  1. click on the button menu bit in the upper right of the Panel and choose the curve Display Options.

  

  2. change the view the amount of: setting of Pigment Ink % to light (0-255).

  You must play with the bookmarks. It is not totally intuitive. You must first turn off of the interpolation of the color ramp. Then, you must assign markers to arbitrary spacing.   Were there recent changes made on the computer before the show?

  This issue could be due to corrupted graphics cards drivers. I suggest you to update the latest version of the drivers of graphics from the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

  Hi, I just started to use the hard drive that had the problem, it's still there. The problem is with the raid card. (no problem on other drives) In system config, starting there are two enteries: SATARAIDS and silcfg. I checked the SATARAIDS, rebooted

I deleted all the files SATARAIDS and silcfg. my computer, properties, hardware - deleted. deleted the folder in program files. did a scan to remove any files or file fragments on the raid drivers. I did not know I had lefe the cd in the drive for the raid drivers I have in yesterday. I rebooted.

  Put the matte clip on a track directly above the clip to fill.

  Go to the effects Panel > video effects > Keying > overlay cache track and apply the overlay cache track for your video of filling on the timeline.

  Ensure that this clip is selected in the timeline panel and then go to the effect controls panel, whirlpool open orders the overlay to cover track by clicking on the triangle next the the name of the effect and Matte together: to the video track containing the Matte Clip.

• Is there a way to rename the "object/text box" in the layer in the Panel?

  I have a provision that has several near areas of text twice in the workflow in a layer, each of them with a minor copy change. What shows in the list of "items" in the layer is the first line of each (default) text box and it happens that they all start with the same text in each. Therefore, in the Panel, I have a list of several items that all look the same and I cannot differentiate between them when I click on an individual that I have them turn on and off.

  I am aware that I can rename the name of the layer itself, but is it possible to rename items in the inside Panel of the layer? I'd love to rename some of them.

  If this isn't the case, I guess I would have to duplicate the entire layer several times, rename the layer itself, each of them almost identical except for editing text in small characters each. Looks like it would be a lot of waste of resources and space in the file.

  You should be able to re - appoint any object similarly - click to highlight the name.
