  Here is how I solved the problem, at least for me

  -Goto printer and select HP 2055dn (currently using "PCL6" pilot)

  -Right click and select "printer properties".

  -Goto "the device settings tab.

  -The "Installation Options" settings Goto

  -Duplex: installed

  -Notification of printer status: DISABLED CE IS PROBABLY THE CULPRIT!

  Press 'OK' to accept!

  This solved the problem, at least for me

  I found similar positions to the other HP LaserJet but their repair method did not work for me, because I don't have an option "Printer Status notice" which is noted below.

  Paul, to solve this problem, you must disable the "Notifications of State printer" in the printer driver settings.

  To do this, assuming you are using Windows 7, the first thing you need to do is to go into your control panel.

  Once there, select 'View devices and printers' under 'hardware and sound '.

  Right-click your printer, and then select 'Properties' or 'printer properties '.

  Select the "Device settings" tab and you should see the option to turn off 'notifications of State printer '.

  If you're still having problems with printing on both sides, try this:

  Devices and printers, click the P2055dn icon, the printer's properties device settings tab.  Scroll to the duplex unit.  If it is set to not installed, click the sentence not installed then installed in the menu dropdown.  Press OK.  After you have selected the print for a specific job, select properties and change print on both sides from no to Yes, lift on or toward Yes Flip.  Most users know to do this last step, but the choice is only there if you have set the duplex unit to installed.  I got this solution a post in another forum.  Good luck.

  Assuming that the full feature software is installed, the following may be enough to solve:

  Set as the default printer

  I don't know how 'disable' the fax software - if you do not set the parameters, fax is essentially disabled the fax program does nothing - useful or harmful.  You need a landline connected to use fax - leave the disconnected landline and fax is essentially disabled.

  If the web page has not correctly detected your operating system, select it by using the drop-down list.  Rather than using the "Combo package" recommended but huge, expand the "Drivers" section and download driver printer v2.32 to a location that you will remember later.

  • Once you have selected the printer, a button labeled "Print server properties" will appear in the toolbar.  Click on this button.

• Get an unwanted page break?

  My form contains 3 subforms starting at the top, followed by a repeatable subform. I specified that the form is legal size and have set my printer to use legal paper.

  The high subforms print correctly, so much more than 1/2 of page 1 is empty. The repeatable subform begins on page 2, even if there is plenty of room for it on page 1. I seem to be getting an unwanted page break.

  I uninstalled everything related to my HP printer (in the Device Manager: printers and print queues) and searched my computer for everything related to my HP printer and deleted stuff also. Then I reinstalled the drivers and software from the HP website. I have updated Java also (I have no idea how much this has to do with my impression). I have my printer is off and unplugged for one minute before Relighting. I restarted my computer and now it seems to be printing normally. Praise the LORD!

The best I can get is the driver by default that automatically loads if I understand correctly that there is no specific driver for this machine available in win 7. Prints a sheet ok, don't double side or on several pages. Has anyone found a way around that?  Otherwise, I have another pc using vista, I could link so when I print the win7 machine it transfers data on the other pc and print it! Seems a long way round but I really need my laser works as it is a great machine. Epson does not offer help, unfortunately

  I have a rather strange problem today: one of my users cannot print more than two pages...

  Regardless of the printer, the application or document, this specific user will receive the first two pages printed on the right, then a windows error (cannot print, the likely reason is a failure of the network, not enough memory, etc.)

  It is possible that one of the CTRL on your keyboard is blocked by sticky dirt coke or a faulty design on this model since it happens on 2 different Laptops:
