Motherboard Asus P5LP--a new VGA MSI installation.

Hello world!

For 5 years I bought my HP Pressario Destop PC. The ' motherboardAsus P5LP - THE that was shipped with the system is still in tact. " I recently bought a new graphics card, but unfortunately it does not work.

The graphics card, I bought is a "MSI R5670 PMD1G OC". I used to have a "Geforce 8600GT" which installed without any problems, a few years ago. Probably because the PC comes with a Geforce card in the first State. So now iam trying to get this current map delivery, but after resetting the bios using CMOS MSI , remove all the old graphics drivers and installing the new ones is not yet.

When I'm with my old Geforce card it works again, but whenever I put in the new card MSI it does not work. I read that the graphics card does not support my current chipset or something similar to this. I did not really understand what they where talking about. In any case, when I put in the graphics card, my screen don't show me anything else that 'black '.

Is anyone familiar with this problem, the solutions are there.

is this to say that I have to reinstall 'Vista' and work my way up from there with the available Bios updates on HP.com?

* noeees! *

I look forward to answers!

Thank you in advance,

Jeremy

The RMA video card or replace it with a card ATI HD3000 Series. Looks like the card is dead. Old card still doesn't work means that the PCIe location is fine.

Best regards

  • Motherboard Asus P5LP - limestone with Core 2 Duo... is it possible?

    Hello

So Ive wanted to upgrade my CPU for a while now for my computer HP m7167c with the motherboard Asus P5LP - limestone. On the product information HP on the motherboard, I see Upgrading CPU best I can get is Pentium D or Pentium 4. Given that the motherboard is the LGA 775 socket type, would fit in a Core 2 Duo E7500 Wolfdale. I was hoping that there would be in any way you can do this work., and I have concluded that, although this might be dangerous, it coul be done by flashing the BIOS using windows XP. If there is someone who knows how to do this could you please help me?

    Hello:

It would be 100% chance of not working to install a C2D.

At least with the shot in the dark, you can have a chance on the outside to hit something.

Installation of a Pentium D 945 with the last update of the BIOS provides a better result than shooting in the dark.

Maxing out the memory is a good thing, or add at least 2 x 1 GB sticks to the two empty slots. If you have not done this, I would do it before the upgrade of the processor.

I looked at the specs of product for your PC, and I see no power supply specifications. I need to know what the power of the P/S before recommending a video card with HDMI output for your machine.

  • Upgrading the BIOS. Mobo ASUS P5LP - THE. BIOS of PHX. Tech. of ver.3.16. Pavilion a1620n. Win 7OS.

I have a Hp Pavilion a1620n with a motherboard ASUS P5LP - THE using Phoenix Technologies Bios VER.3.16 and running Windows 7. I want to upgrade the processor and said that I have to upgrade the Bios before upgrading the processor. I have been researching but can't find any info on how to do it for this particular machine. There is no on-board Bios Flash program and I can't seem to find any information. Any ideas?

    AZ_scuba_dude, welcome to the forum.

There is no update software/BIOS for Win7 for the computer.  It is unlikely that there will be a developed.  However, there is a BIOS update for XP.  You will need to do a system restore to the original configuration that includes XP.  Once this operation is complete, you can update the BIOS to version: 3.19.  You can do the update using the executable file (sp35100.exe). Although she did not mention anything about what makes the upgrade of the processor.  Here are the Specifications of the motherboard of the computer.  In the processor upgrade information section, it lists the updates that supports HP.

Please let us know if this solved your problem or not.

  • HP Pavilion P6724IT: Hp Pavilion P6724IT stuck to the HP splash screen after the installation of the new VGA

    Hello people.

I buyed a new VGA, a Gigabyte GT740 2 GB DDR5, before I had an Asus GT630 2 GB of DDR3 memory and had no problem with it.

After you mount the new VGA, I noticed that the computer gets stuck to the initial start with the HP logo screen.

Can't even get to the BIOS, but if I remove the card and use the igpu it is all ok.

I tried to update the bios with the latest version on the HP website (v.7.15) and nothing.

Tried to install it with Windows 8.1 and windows 7, nothing.

I tried all the things I found on the net of people with the same number, nothing new.

If I'm pretty quick and I press certain keys we Gets the black screen and stuck in any case, do a few beeps and then go to a kind of sleep and if I keep pressing a key, it makes little noise Cracklin'.

In fact I can't afford a new motherboard so I wanted to know if I can find a solution to the problem, because it's really frustrating and I spent much time trying to understand with your help.

    Sorry for my bad English!

    Hope someone can help me

    See you soon

    ZeroProsekt,

You must answer such questions as published by the wb2001.  If you do not know the answers, then contact the manufacturer of the graphics card and ask for more information on the graphics card of specific model you are trying to use.

  • ESXi 4 on an ASUS P5N - D numbers pre/post installation

    Hello community.

I have weird questions som pre and Post install on a motherboard Asus P5N - D and ESXi 4U1

    Basic specifications:

Chips inter Dual Core E5300, 4 GB of RAM and the 4 500 GB drives (running on the SATA Configuration in a RAID 5 on board giving 1.36 TB of space)

In any case, on the baord BIOS indicates that the hard drive is a RAID 5 1.36 TB hard drive and the RAID report at startup shows as a table in good health.  However when I boot from the disk 4 of ESXi to install, when choosing the installation path, I see all 4 players for the RAID array each as opposed to a singular disc.

Everyone fell on this? I missed a command at the beginning that I should put in manually?

Also.  To try to solve, I then used a 1 GB USB key and installed ESXi on it.  Works fine and starts the machine, but when I go in the VSphere client, under the Summary tab for my box of ESXi, I see Datastore2 and the Datastore1 listed and being 465,50 and 461.50 sizes respectively.  It shows all 4 disks, but worse still, he is not showing them as a singular drive in an array.

Everyone does this experience with this motherboard, or something similar?

all necessary information or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

ESXi does not support this type of integrated RAID controller (often called fakeraid). The best you will get is individual disks. You can view the hardware compatibility list for a supported hardware raid controller.

  • I want to move my hard drive from a computer with a motherboard dead to a newer machine. The activation process for Windows XP SP3 failed.

I want to move my hard drive from a computer with a motherboard dead to a newer machine.  The activation process failed.  How can I get the operating system XP Professional sp3 reactive?  I have the code original and other info.

original title: Moving the death machine drive

    Hello CarrolScott,

The activation problem arose because the hardware on your current computer does not match that of the hardware on the machine whose mother is dead.

The best option for the reactivation is to use the telephone line. This, unfortunately, is automated and may refuse to turn on your system; However, don't despair just rest on the line after the automated atcivation crossed its procedure and you will be transferred to a real person. Tell this person you've done, and it should be able to help activate.
