Moto G contacts via computer management

Hi all; I was wondering if there is a program of Motorola for the management of contacts on Moto G via a computer?

There are a lot of contacts in my file of people I would like to add to the list of phone contacts; is there an easy way to do it?

Thanks in advance,

Mike.

I got all my contacts through Gmail, since it is an Android that is where all my contacts come so I can manage them online here.

  • Z5 - can't edit Microsoft Exchange contacts via phone

Hi guys, I have a Xperia Z5 (E6653) and I have a microsoft office 365 (Enterprise version) account manages all my email, calander and contacts. I set up the account thanks to the 'gmail' app construction because the contacts and calander syncs any through the app native mail.

The problem I have is that I can call my contacts to exchange with no problems, & see they fine synchronization from the server, but I can't make changes to contacts via the native application of 'contacts' of the phone, the edit symbol is there but when I type the symbol that it takes me to the next sreen (editing screen) and there the screen is basically useless, all details are grey and not editable * screenshot attached *.

Has anyone else had a similar problem, or am I the first?

I don't think that the GMail app can manage Exchange.

You will need to add your account in the settings-->--> new accounts 'Exchange '.

I did like this and my Exchange syncs fine.

  • My HP DVD/ROM does not appear in the device under my computer Manager or when I scan for readers.

My HP DVD/ROM does not appear in the device under my computer Manager or when I scan for readers, most of the time.  Every now and then it will be visible and I can use it but 90% of the time it does not exist.  I tried the regedit fix, nothing.  I tried the program Microsoft Fix It, it tells me it cannot locate a DVD/ROM.  I removed, cleaned and reinserted my DVD/ROM drive, but no difference.  I tried everything, except the upgrade to Windows 7... who will be my last resort.

    Hello gargoyle28m,

If your hardware is not detected to upgrade to Windows 7 is not a resolution. This issue may be caused if the DVD drive is faulty or connections loose on the mother board. You may need to check the connections. I suggest you check if the DVD drive works on another computer. You can contact the manufacturer of your computer to help you with this problem.

  • Just as a reference: how to FIX the annoying 'White Screen Of Death"with Silverlight and"Access denied"error with computer management.

Well, I just hope that someone who has met these two mistakes will find my dose. It might save a lot of pointless research on the net.

    SYMPTOMS:
-When you try to open a Silverlight application in your browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE, etc), your browser displays only a white area. When you right click on the white area, you can click on the Silverlight properties.
-If you try to start "Computer management" by clicking on the 'My Computer' icon and select 'Manage', you get the following error: 'access denied '.

    CAUSE:
The following errors are usually the result of a bad environment variable. In this case the "windir" environment variable does not work correctly. You can try running the management of the computer to start > run and entering:
    %windir%\system32\mmc.exe/s %windir%\system32\compmgmt.msc

Notice the between the characters of percentage windir environment variable. If you run the above code, you will probably get an error saying that MMC cannot open the file. Look closely at the path, it's back!
You will probably find any % somewhere.

What actually happened here is the variable windir made reference to another variable: systemroot
Why this creates problems, I'm not sure. Also, I don't understand what made then variable windir change.

    SOLUTION:
-From your desktop or Explorer: right-click on "My computer" and select "Properties".
-Click on the "Advanced" tab and then click "Environment Variables".

    http://pcauthorities.com/images/advanced-system-properties-XP.jpg

-Did the windir variable. Together to "C:\Windows" do not think that it is already set to "C:\Windows", because windows then tells you. Double-click it to know for sure.

-See, I told you! Change this to "C:\Windows".

  • How to access the computer management?

Original title: computer management concole restricted by policy

How to enable access to the concole menagement computer which is limited by the policy snap-in?

    Hi Nikola Dragutinovic,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, it seems that you do not want to activate the computer management console, which is limited by the policy snap-in. I'll be happy to help you with this problem.

The setting of group policy to restrict users to the explicitly permitted snap-ins list lets you selectively enable or disable the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in. However, before enabling this setting, you must activate the settings in the folder "restricted/permitted snap-ins" software snap-ins MMC that you want to use.

I suggest you to follow the steps from the link and check if it helps.

You must enable explicitly pluggable MMC that you want to use before you enable the group policy setting "Restrict users to the list of snap-ins explicitly allowed" in Windows XP and Windows Vista

  • Computer management does not work in Windows XP Pro

I am constantly the error box who run the States "Computer management is not available on this system" any if I execute the command line, use the administrative tools or right-click on "My computer" and select from the list of options.

The computer was scanned for viruses (negative) with MalwareBytes, Avast and McAfee online analysis with all showing a certificate of good health.
I am running Windows XP Pro with service pack 3.  The computer has 1 GB of memory and a 160 GB hard drive with a dual core cpu.  It works well with other versions of the OS boot from the CD (live disks) without problems, but continues to have problems with 'users' XP trying to view / change anything the computer management or the Panel applet 'users and groups '.
I have three users (Admin, User1 and User2) with only the administrator with full administrator privileges, others have restricted the user which is also defined under 'users and groups' status in the management console.  Users have a bit of data stored on the disks, a re - install is not a favorable option if it turns out be destructive.
I'm open to suggestions / comments that are helpful and constructive in nature.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Chuck,

    ·         Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Scan the file system (CFS) auditor to repair corrupted files.

  • Computer management does not work

When I right click on computer and select "Manage", nothing happens. Similarly, when I click on Administrative Tools > computer management, nothing happens. I also tried to activate the management of the computer to c:\windows\system32\CompMgmtLauncher.exe. Yet once, nothing happens. How can I get the computer management to run? I have Vista Home Premium SP2.

Try to enter compmgmt.msc in start / search box and enter.  Double-click the program icon that appears and see if it opens.  I doubt that it will work if clicking on the executable file did not work, but it's worth a try.

We will check some of your system files:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to fix some system files.  If all goes well, it will finish without any error, it could not repair (if these errors occur, post here).

While you're in prompt type chkdsk /f /r command and enter and let it run.  It will search for and fix/mark bad sectors (and management of computer files can be in a bad sector that can be moved unless it is irreparably damaged).

Are you sure that the problem is limited to the management of the computer / have you tried to enter EventViewer or anyghing elsewhere in Services management tools?  Please try.

You have a disk for Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or you can borrow one from ANYONE).  If none of these efforts works, our next logical step would be a repair system/upgrade and we need the disk to do so.  They are not protected against copying in order to use all copy with your own product key which governs the installed version.

Let's see where this gives us.  Good luck and I hope this helps.  If she's not really try hard to get your hands on a disc. Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.
