  My friend about to buy a motorola xoom 3 g + wifi for me in the United Kingdom. In my country, we cannot use 3g SIM-free service. Someone tried to use 3g with SIM card service?

  The caveat on the plastic insert was only for the CDMA Verizon version to the United States. Can't say why it is also in the European version. They should have just put in an empty placeholder.

  Background information: Verizon's CDMA network does not require the use of a SIM card. When upgrading future 4 g arrives, change XOOMs US material and the 4G network will require using a sim card, so caution.

• Moto Z Force - another terrible experience "pre-order".

  I pre-ordered one bike Z Force, and later the same day, a wireless bike Mod loader direct from Motorola last weekend. Just had an email of confirmation on the bike Mod. Called Support to motorcycle, last Monday, after the State of the command line did not recognize either number. Said my order, the date of the promise for shipping was 8: 1 and I had received a shipping confirmation within a day or two. Nothing, what is called later in the week. Again, has said that I would get the phone 8/1, although, in the same conversation, they told me my phone was in 'construction '. This, on Thursday for a phone with no customization beyond to choose between two colors and two configs of memory, "promised" for delivery in 4 days.

  Online order status, now a week later, still does not recognize a number. No shipping notice. This will be my third motorcycle "preorder" happens after the date of the promise, and after that the product is available in stores. Unless something miraculous happens with my support experience, this will be my last purchase direct with Motorola and, probably, my last Motorola phone. Between my experience 'preorder' with Pure X bike, bike 360 Gen 2 and this phone, I do not think that bike includes e-commerce or what pre-order is supposed to mean.   I've been a customer of motorcycle since the OG Droid and purchased, most direct from Motorola, the droid OG, every generation of the Moto X, both versions of the suspicion of motorcycle, two generations of the Moto Droid MAXX (gift for Dad) 360, Nexus 6 and now the bike Z Force and Mods. Now, my account of the motorcycle used for most of these purchases (more cases, adapters, headphones, batteries, etc.) is useless for the follow-up of these two recent purchases.   You will need to Contact HP to ask a "regionalization Reset." Do not charge for this, it is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP.   I'm Primo-download the free Express version 10g I think. There are two editions, Western (a byte) and Universal (unicode). I live in the United States, in Arizona - which version should I choose? Documentation, it looks like the Western European version but I would like to know for sure before installing. Thanks, anne

  If you need to store non-Western data of type character for character sets (for languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Russian, etc), you will need to download the universal edition. If you need only store data for Western characters (English, French, German, etc.), you can download the Western edition.

  Artem Hi, first of all - I'm Ukrainian. To be honest - I've never seen that any Android bike base with the Ukrainian language UI device.

  If you need motorcycle G 3gen Ukrainian you should certainly try Morelocale2

  European versions were Russian, but not Ukrainians.

  Fortunately the custom firmwares are supported Ukrainian.

• Merging 2 partitions on a hard disk again on Satellite X 200-21 L

  my situation: I bought the Satellite X 200-21 L (European version of the X 205-SLi3) on this point, I have two hard drives with a capacity of 160 GB per disk.

  As far as I know that something like this is possible. You can do the following:

  1. remove all data of D on the second HARD drive
  2. open Computer Management > disk management
  3. click with the right button of the mouse on the D partition, and then choose the option Remove Volume
  4. click with the right button of the mouse on the C partition and select Extend Volume option
  5. simply follow the menu on the screen

• Tecra 8000 BIOS update

  Help... my first visit on this forum looking for a kindly soul to out me of trouble. My wife has a Tecra 8000 (European version) with P2 400 mhz. To start, she "prepares for the BIOS update". I managed to find what seems to me to be good download on this site, the 'traditional' version for computers that do not run on 500 mhz or higher? Only problem is that I know this must be installed through FDD we have with the laptop, but we have no way to open the file on disk. Neither our computers from home or at work have a floppy drive to open and copy the downloaded file. We were wondering if anyone has a copy, or access to a floppy drive to produce a copy and send it to us? We would be more than happy incurred to help us.

• Satellite P20/P25: Boot process stops at an early stage

  with my satellite P20-304 (PSP20E - the European version of the P25) when (re-) start, at certain times, the satellite crashes and does not respond. This is the case at a very early stage of the start-up procedure where again there is nothing on the screen.

  When this happens, the screen remains black or sometimes gray, and I have to press the button of power for five seconds to force shutdown.

  It's not easy to say why it happens.
  I think that we can only speculate. So I found on the page of the Toshiba driver a new version of the BIOS. It s 2.10. But it seems that this BIOS is usable only on Satellite P20 units that contain "PSP20E" in the model number.

  If you could check your model number and your device contains the number of this piece, you could try updating the BIOS to 2.10. Before updating the PIF, you should check the upgrade procedure. You know, the bad BIOS and the wrong procedure can make some problems on the Board.

  I think you should also be sure that each driver is up-to-date.
  I put t know how you installed the operating system but eventually the corrupted files on the HARD disk might be responsible for the hanging.
  This could be the case if the laptop goes correctly the Toshiba start screen. Otherwise if the Toshiba start screen does not appear so especially a hardware malfunction is a reason for such problems.

  On the SATA drives, there is no capacity limit and you have on each HARD disk the same pinout. This means that you can use each SATA HDD you want and also SATA2 hard drives because they downgrade compaitible then standard SATA1.

  However, you can buy the cheaper version on Amazon. This HARD drive should work as well in Notepad.

  I guess that the issues described may be related to a GPU malfunction.
  The point is that if a single internal Billboard would be defective, the external monitor should still work fine... but this isn't the case... so from my point of few the issue could be caused by a GPU malfunction.

• Replace the drive of my laptop in a Toshiba Satellite 5100/5105 - experience?

  I intend to replace the defective CDRW/DVD drive in my Toshiba Satellite 5100 503 (European version, it was sold as 5105 in the United States and other countries).
  The disk is a UJDA730.
  Update, I consider the much appreciated a Slimline DVD +/-RW drive. Unfortunately, some internet research revealed that the upgrade to optical laptop drive is not as simple as one would hope. I had no trouble to remove my old drive (just remove the keyboard and unscrew the two screws), so I consider myself to be able to put in a new drive instead. However, two problems remain:

  -mechanical compatibility: the 6500 has seems to have a different layout of collar. The eject button and the LED are in a different position from that of my current drive, so I doubt I'll be able to use my old glasses with it. In addition, the bezel from my old drive has a niche in the lower right corner (similar to that found on some laptop computers Fujitsu-Siemens), which gives place to the volume control on the laptop. So I can't reuse the old bezel and bezel of the NEC will probably not allow me to close the CD tray. I wonder if some Dremel work on the plastic parts of the NEC drive will allow me to physically. Anyone who has tried?

  as a first step in a Satellite 5100 CD player is fixed mounted and can only be replaced with the same model! Another model might work, but as you can see the bezel fits and maybe the new drive does not match 100%. So you will have problems all the way!

  What do you think about an external solution via USB or Firewire. It's the best way to upgrade!
