Motorola widgets

There are a bunch of these (Motorola Widgets as opposed to downloaded Widgets) that come with the phone, where can we get more?

Where using the default UI House, when you tap on a long press on the screen or press menu > add you will see three sets of widgets.

Family room Widgets

Android widgets

The Motorola Widgets are widgets included with MOTOBLUR, and there is no way to install more that already exist. They could be added as a patch, but there is no way to install them yourself.

Family room Widgets are widgets for the purposes of the family room which is pre-installed on the phone. Same situation applies for BLUR widgets.

The Android Widgets are gadgets that came with the phone or the widgets that you have installed from Android Market. You can add them as you will you please, but you cannot remove those who are on the phone by default.

  • Motorola Widget settings updated

I'm having a hard time to modify the Widgets Motorola once they are in place. For example, if I want to delete one number for a contact in the contact widget or update the syndicated news feed. I guess I'm missing something obvious and it's my first Android device. So bear with me here!

For your widgets contacts you will need their trash and then redo the widget.

Social widgets and news widgets, you must clear all of the messages on the widget and type to change the settings.

  • Bug with toggle widgets

    OK, this is what happens...

I put the Motorola toggle widgets on my home screen (e.g. data toggle, wifi, bluetooth, GPS).

    I rebooted and they disappeared. I tried to re-add-the. I can't.

Can I add widgets to toggle from the Android Market.

OK... Here is the bug... I can't add Motorola widgets, but also the space where they should be is not available to add another widget either. for example, I now have a death/unusable space on my home screen.

    Any ideas anyone?

OK, this is still a bug, but there is a solution...

Go to settings / Applications / manage Applications / All / Home Screen

    Click: clear data

And the home screen is reset. for example, you lose your previous settings. But at least this will reset the widgets correctly.

  • Default action on favorite hotline & Widgets

Does anyone know how to configure the default action on the hotline and the favorite contacts widget? Whenever I hit it I must choose between calls, SMS, email, mapping and choose the number.

It really defeats the purpose of having direct access if you have to always watch tand choose instead of going forward and get executed action.

    @Chamchuyo,

I think you are talking about a different thing then AlphaDog. You're talking about the specific Motorola widget has 4 favorite contacts (and is expandable to several), while AlphaDog speaks of universal ICS 'Direct line' widget. Find the tab widget and drag it to one of your home screens. When you place it, it prompts you to choose a number. If you need a dial with a single click to your wife, I think it is the way to go.

  • Several corporate email accounts

    Hello;

I have 2 settings sync business accounts on my defy + - but cannot work out how to display both

Currently I have to go into settings and set one or the other as a default value to see the emails

    Or

Wait for an email to come and go from the notifications.

I used to have a Samsung Galaxy (Android 2.2), which had an option for "combined Inbox".

You can either use the 'mail' app to see all your e-mail accounts or use the widget corresponding to 'messages' (under the Motorola Widgets). Here you can configure which, your email and messaging, new accounts message will be visible directly on the home screen.

  • Is it possible to add a speed dial icon?

Is it possible to add an icon to your home screen that could dial a frequently dialed number - with just a touch?

    Thank you

    Marc

Of course, just long press on an empty spot on the home screen and select 'Motorola widgets', then 'Contact quick tasks. You can resize it to the size you want and add more numbers, email or text of this contact.

  • D3 - another screen can be chosen to be the home screen?

I would like to only one of the five screens other than the Center to be my home screen. Is the center of a "locked" by default so that another can not be chosen to be the fief? Could not find a way to choose another screen.

Unfortunately, the homescreen has no area of parameters so that you can not change this. the only alternative if it's something that you can't live is to use a 3rd party launcher on the market like Launcher Pro. However, you lose the ability to use some of the Motorola widgets by switching to another Launcher.

  • Retrieve items from the Recycle Bin?

OK, so I'm a newbie in this thing whole smartphone?  Just got my Droid X last Friday and always try to understand everything - it's a bit overwhelming!

I tried to drag something from one home to another screen (easier said than done) and I accidentally threw it in the trash CAN.  (I'm not sure that the app was, but it looked a little like a media player).

Is it possible to retrieve items from the Recycle Bin?  I can't find any info on the trash anywhere.

BTW - I tried to go to the application menu and pressing applications to reinstall, but, again, I don't know yet what app it was!

    Thanks for the help!

BubbaCat wrote:Ok, could have been. But how do I get it back on the home screen? I've tried holding down on the screen until the menu pops up, select Motorola Widgets, and then select photo slide show. But it doesn't install a widget on the home screen. It just takes me into the gallery. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or maybe there is another way??

No, it's not as intuitive as it could be. You are on the right track. When you enter in your gallery, select an image. Which end the putting in place and he must then take you back to the home screen where your widget must be loaded. Good comments!

  • Widgets on Droid Motorola

I have the original Droid, but today, I put my hand on Droid 2 a friend... I love the bike Widgets! Is it possible to get them on the original Droid? My contract is not for me to get a new phone for about a year.

Currently, the 'OG' droid can't stand blur. I don't know if off that Droid will always support blur. I like really the look and feel of blur, but I highly doubt Motorola (and google) will push an update with blur in there to our droid

  • Motorola Droid 2 more Widget photo frame

Hello: Anyone knows how to make the image widget play photos from the record that an image? Is this possible or am I just spinning my wheels? I am able to get up on a screen, but beyond that every time that I try to point to a folder it just displays an image in the phone in a random order. Thanks for any help.

    Hello:

I found a solution in the Android Market. The app"frame turtle Photo"available for free on the market allows you to do exactly what I was asking everything. It is quick and easy. Also on my Droid 2 since I have 7 different home screens I can have a different image on the different home screens by using different folders. I tried on two different screens, and it worked fine. Check it out.

    Thank you Michael

  • Clock widget will not be updated properly after 2.2.2

I noticed that after the recent 2.2.2 downloaded all the widgets clock on my 2 Ciq update not timely. I tried a few of those. This includes the Motorola Date/time widget. Several times the displayed time is running 10-15 minutes late.

Anyone experinced similar issues or has any ideas?

    Thank you!

Have you tried to remove the app and then restart and then redownload the application and see if it works correctly?

You may need to do a factory reset, but lets leave that as a last resort.

  • The Nexus 6 will support Motorola migrate?

I was wondering if there are plans to add support for the Nexus 6 to the app to migrate from Motorola? I know that when I bought a Moto X last year, it has been a great help for me to be able to use the application to get everything out of my old phone, and I hope that I will be able to use it again when I switch to the Nexus 6.

It is a very good question!

I flashed the Dev L Preview to my Nexus 5.

And integrated into Android 5.0 is a characteristic of transfer during the process of setting up the phone.

I test this out. So during the installation process, that it will ask you if you have a phone that you would like to you all, settings and info passed, you select Yes, turn NFC and Bluetooth on the phone, press the two together and everything will start to load up on the Nexus phone.

Down to the placement of the widget!

I thought that was very helpful. It was not copied on the installed app, like Amazon or Linkedin connection information.

    But everything else was there.

So with this feature is built into Android 5.0, there is no need to migrate from the bike.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

I've had my Motorola Atrix HD LTE for about a week now.

I noticed that when using the power widget bar or the individual widgets under Widget motorola than when I turn the Wifi icon does not appear in the Notification bar like it normally does. I thought before you even if you don't have a wifi connection icon seems to indicate it was or was not connected.

PS Bluetooth works as I expected. I turn it on not matched and the icon shows it is but not matched. When I have the dome lights.
