Mouse pointer jumps around on Windows 7 VM
How to make it behave?
I have a Windows 7 VM with VMware tools installed. These preferences are set:
- Take the keyboard and mouse input on the click of the mouse.
- Automatically capture and ungrab the mouse.
- Hide the cursor to ungrab.
- Optimize the mouse for games: never
Often, the mouse pointer passes to a new spot when I click it. For example, without exit fullscreen VM, I click on the center of the screen one pointer jump upward or sometimes low. Click once again, the same thing. I tried to uncheck Hide toolbar without result.
In addition, the virtual machine is maximized on my second monitor, if I move outside it to my main monitor mouse may not work. In other words, if I click on an object, say Outlook, nothing happens. It is as if the mouse is not there; the click does not happen.
This does not happen with my XP VM. On the virtual Windows 7 machine, Windows is not activated yet.
I gave up and created new WMs. They work very well.
Remove the old VMs of misconduct.

The mouse pointer jump at the top of the screen when the dialog box opens
In the last few weeks my mouse pointer jumps sometimes extreme high (left side) of the FF browser window. Only happens in FF, Chrome or IE or any other application from Ms. The mouse to update drivers fees Reloaded, switched mouses, USB switch, ports switched to a mouse not MS - all to nothing does.
"It seems to happen most often when I mouse ' snap to" feature is turned on and that the pointer automatically moves to the default button in the dialog box.
This unique disability FF to hide the pointer when you enter (when the value in the mouse properties box) have become very annoying.
Please address and solve the two problems above. Thank you.
Good news! Now come on. For the moment, you can disable
KeyScrambler. You can always turn it on when you need it. -
E0K41UAR #ABA: pointer jump around.
When I type, the pointer jump around. It wasn't like this when I bought it. In fact it just started.
Hello @Blackcow2 ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that the cursor is jumping all over your ENVY TouchSmart m6-k015dx Sleekbook.
If this problem just started, I'd say a system restore to before the show began. This will cancel the changes to the system, uninstall the Windows updates and uninstall any software recently installed after the date of restoration. Example: If you have installed AVG anti-virus on 12 September, do a restore before allowing you to uninstall the software. A restore for the 13th does not remove the software. The system restore does not delete your personal files.
If it does not try to install the latest drivers for your touchpad here: Synaptics TouchPad Driver.
Finally try to go through the following document for troubleshooting of a touchpad in Windows 8: use and troubleshooting of the TouchPad and ClickPad (Windows 8).
After trying the suggestions above I would like to know if the problem is resolved or if you have any other questions.

Hi E.Grosjean,
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!
Install security software to protect your computer. Hackers and virus writers can infect your computer by taking advantage of low security settings in your e-mail and Web browser software. They can do this by sending you a malicious e-mail message or to encourage them to visit a malicious Web site.
You can help limit your chances of being attacked by increasing your security settings. Here are four steps that you can do right now to help increase your security.
http://www.Microsoft.com/protect/computer/advanced/browsing.mspxTry the following methods.
Method 1
1. click on StartControl Panelto open the mouse properties
2. in the pointer option tab, uncheck "enhance pointer precision, and click on apply.
Method 2
1. click on Start
2 type devmgmt.msc in search
3. find and expand the mouse category. Right click on the driver click on Uninstall.

Hello
- What were the changes made before the issue occur?
- How long have you been faced with this problem?
- What is the brand and model of the computer?
If you are using a desktop computer, I would try connecting another mouse and check. Try also the update chipset driver from the maufacturer website.
If you are using a laptop, I suggest you to update the drivers from the website of the manufacturer of the chipset and Touchpad drivers also and check if it works.

Hello
Its down to the sensitivity of the touchpad on the laptop. You could try to turn that down.
It is a well known problem with many laptops... that people tend to expire is to install a program that disables the touchpad when typing. You can find one called touchfreeze here (under Tools)

Satellite A300 - point the mouse jumps around
Hi guys,.
For some reason any my A300 worked just perfect and all the drivers Toshiba disspeared.
So I have no more function keys, press the start/stop utility and so on.I managed to install again but synaptic touchpad driver, didn t turn off.
I disalble and now the mouse pointer jump around like a wink on the active guides. It's driving me crazy!Any help or ideas how I can work on it?
Thank you
SEBSHello
To use the control of Toshiba and the FN keys buttons, you need to install the VAP (value added package) and the Flash Cards Support utility!
These two tools are important if you running Vista or Win 7.You can also configure the touchpad again after installing the driver Synaptics and Alps.
Please note that you can configure the touchpad in Control Panel-> mouse->-> properties pointing device.
You will find a few options regarding the sensitivity of the touchpad!

The mouse pointer went crazy on NB100
Started a download on the iTunes store, came back 30 minutes later to find my mouse pointer jump erratically in the vertical direction. Had to disable the synaptics pointing device driver and plug a USB mouse. After having rebooted and restart the mouse driver seems to work for most still until today where it does the same thing.
If anyone else has experienced this? I came to the conclusion that the touchpad and keyboard on this device are just very poor indeed.
Hello
I never had a problem with my touchpad. I have to say that everything is working properly and also an external mouse/keyboard.
Anyway, in your case, I would try reinstalling the driver for the touchpad, or have you tried it already? You can directly download the driver from Toshiba:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversAlso, you should also try to reinstall iTunes. Maybe it s causing this problem

The mouse pointer passes over the Satellite L10
I have a toshiba satellite mobile celeron 1.5, 512 MB ram, 40 GB HDD, dvd - rw, wireless, modem, lan.
I have a problem when you type in certain documents, or simply type a few things. When I type in the world of the example or write an email that my mouse pointer jumps 5 or 3 or 10 lines (or), I normally use a touchpad. This problem is disturbing me since when I bought this laptop (September 2005).
I downloaded and installed a new BIOS, but it is the same problem - mouse pointer jumps...Does anyone have a solution?
TNX, Danijel
Hello
Try to disable the touchpad while typing. You can use the FN + F9 key combination.
I checked some of the messages in this forum, and generally this should help. -
Jumping mouse pointer and Vista "busy circle" using WMP
When I plug in a "memory stick" SanDisk, WMP trying to 'sync', 'something something '. The mouse pointer and the Vista 'busy circle' jumping around. I disabled the auto-start, I deleted the box "Start synchronization when the device connects" and I tried all the options in Sync Center. WMP recognizes the different sizes of "memory sticks" and each is full. Sometimes, the "memory sticks" shows in the library list. I ended up the sync on a partnership, but this command is grayed out on the other. The side "edit" of WMP sometimes shows the "memory stick" he said here drag the items to synchronize. Sometimes the side "edit" of WMP says "connect the device. Once in about 50 tries, WMP actually synchronize with the "memory stick". I use the memory sticks for data transfer and storage only. I NEVER want anything to synchronize! I'm from the old (old, old, old read) school, so if I want something copied, I will use the copy command. I've seen similar problems here and tried the solutions provided, unfortunately, nothing seems to work. HELP PLEASE!
TYVM!After the cohabitation on maybe 10 different forums, I came across an apparent solution.
Apparently, the "guilty" is the Portable device enumerator Service.
When I disabled it, my problems went away.Follow this step to turn off the service.
1. click Start and type services.msc in the start search box and press on enter.
2. scroll through the list and select the service.
3. right click on the service and choose the Propertiesoption.
4. you can change the Startup type to disable or the status of the service to stop.
Good luck to all!

Satellite Pro 6100: cursor mouse jumps around
The mouse internal nipple on my laptop does not work, it jumps around in all directions. I tried to replace that with a USB mouse that works fine except that I hit the space bar, then the cursor will jump on the side of the screen.
It will then continue to scroll on the side of the screen, even if I bring him back. Looked at a lot of forums and it looks like a common fault but not a miracle.
Help, please
Hello
I put t think that it s a common fault. It could just be the keyboard malfunctioned.
One of my friends has a Tecra, and the cursor of the mouse jumped crazy on the screen.
It was not possible or very difficult to open all the windows or click on the icons. The service provider has changed the entire keyboard and it's a solution.
Perhaps you will also need a replacement. But what happens when allows you to disable the touchpad with FN + F9 function? Make cursor jumps when you use USB mouse?
