move to W7 after a full restore. It would be worth?

I just do a full restore to start over with my laptop after 2 years of falling through the learning process. Its nice! Once again like new. However! Would it not safe to upgrade to W7 before you start to reinstall some of my primary programs? Or is W7 even bothered that my cell phone is an older model (2008). It is compatible, but W7 will offer enough benefits to make it worth it? I will not compromise current products to which I subscribe, such as security programs? Currently, I want to install the Microsoft updates initial, which will take some time.

  • Windows Small Business Server 2008 starts after the full restoration of the PC

I need help URGENT here. My company has a HP Vantage 2 hard drives with Windows 2008 Server. C and D, both have important data on them. D drive has become corrupted over the last weekend, and as a result, the server was very slow and data on the d drive was inaccessible. Unfortunately, D drive was somehow part of the boot sequence, and when I took it out, the computer would not start at all.

Well made to purchase two new drives of 1 TB and replace the old records with them (we need the extra space anyway) and I did a complete system restore by booting from the windows installation CD and choose the external USB hard drive, we had that we were using for daily backups. Restore seemed to be going great, it took almost 3 hours and when he was done he had some problems.

1 when the external USB drive was plugged and the system tried to start, it would give an error message and would not continue even if the BIOS was said to NOT boot from the USB key.

    2. when the drive has been disconnected, windows seems to start normally, I would still get up to a point where I had a mouse cursor that I could move on a black screen, but then the computer would suddenly reboot! Like someone hitting the reset button. I can hear the drives stop when it happens. The same thing happens with no failure or last known good configuration mode.

It is a major problem because we do not have Internet or files. I wish there was a phone number that I can call for assistance. I would be happy to pay for it! even if it is a third party.

I saw that Microsoft had "pay per incident" support but it just says: it is $ 260, what for? An hour? A case? A month?

    Any help would be appreciated

  • Safari bug/adware/malware won't go even after full restore

    Hello

I can't get rid of a bug that continues to make windows pop up or forcing me on stupid 'you have won a prize' sites, even after having repeatedly a clean full restore (no backup) of the iPhone. I thought he might come back through the data of Safari in iCloud, but it happens even when I don't sign in iCloud in the newly restored phone.

After that I restored the iPhone happens almost immediately when I open Safari and go to a website, and I'm not on first order as bbc.co.uk sites. The following pop ups and websites keep appearing:

Here are two examples, but others arrive. I am on iOS later and have deleted all the data browser Safari etc.

Really can't believe it happens immediately after a completely fresh restoration... it seems that the bug is in the iOS data!

    Thank you very much

    Daniel

Go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site. After doing this, you can still open Safari and go about your normal browsing.

I noticed that the two examples you listed seem to be linked to Facebook. I have my own personal struggle with what I now called bad links in my Facebook News feed. Clickbait sites that you get tire to begin plaguing your screen with ads and even permanently redirect you to another site like the one you see here. It is an annoyance, but is not one that is clean in iOS. You can have all the pleasure of dealing with similar experiences click on bad links on your computer as well.  It's a question on the web.

  • Kaspersky sign appears after the full system restore

After that I did a restore of the entire system on my computer, I have a sign indicating "kaspersky is not lit." What does that mean? This means that my computer came pre-installed with a free trial of kaspersky?

    Hello

Computers are normally with a free trial of an Antivirus for many days.

It is normally Norton or McAfee.

You must configure the free trial. A system recovery reinstalls the operating system to exactly how you bought your computer.

If the trial was initially, it will appear again after doing a restore to factory settings

Consult the manual of your computer as to what had been bought...

  • After a system restore to a time before Windows XP, should I leave Safe Mode and restart normally? What other steps should I take in Mode safe?

After a system restore to a time before Windows XP, should I leave Safe Mode and restart normally.  Completely restored restore operation the registry both before the intrusion of viruses if the date and time specified as the restore point is earlier than the time of the intrusion, but in the same 'on' the cycle of computer?  I have to do something else before going back to safe mode?

Time as about 23:00 last night 7/29 restoration, first known intrusion by "XP Home Security 2012" was shortly after midnight 7/30.

I ended up a sde.exe process, which stopped the pop-ups.  A full scan with Norton quarantine, JS. SecurityTool.  After a restart of the computer, the normal features of the programs has been lost by the "Run" menu or icons on the desktop.  By clicking on the icon for the normal .exe files redirected to the dialog box "select a program to open.

I restarted in Mode safe mode with networking and then restore.  I tried opening IE and Excel and that they work properly in Mode without failure.  They will work correctly when I leave Safe Mode and restart normally.  Should I test other specific applications.

XP Home Security 2012 seems to have accessed or modified some files to DropBox (not sure how this program was installed, but it was already on).

Should I delete all DropBox files, just those showing a modification date corresponding to the intrusion of XP Home Security 2012, or don't you worry about this?

System Restore IS NOT the way to remove malware. The reason why you do not see the effects of the malware in safe mode is probably due to the fact that the process for most malware does not load in safe mode, and therefore not active.

Restart the computer in Safe Mode with network. Click HERE. Download Malwarebytes. Update Malwarebytes and perform a full scan.  Choose to quarantine found nothing. Once completed click HERE and download Superantispyware Portable. Run a full scan quarantined found anything yet. Restart your computer in normal mode and perform a quick scan with Malwarebytes.

  • Equium L - loss of power while doing a full restore

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Equium L series.

I started to do a full restore to the factory settings, but unfortunately, I disconnected the wire at HQ and there is no battery no longer, then the computer shuts off immediately. Recovery of product dvd was inserted and was used, but the computer disconnected before I chose the type of recovery that I wanted, so I guess that nothing has been deleted in my hard drive.

The problem is that when I turn on the laptop now, it will not work. I just have a black screen and nothing else happens. It seems that I have to write a command or something like that. Could someone help? In fact, I have some files on the hard drive I want to save before you perform a full restore to factory with the DVD settings. How can I get my laptop restarted windows xp?

    Thank you

    Hello

I m a bit confused now... Why you want to backup files on your HARD drive if you have already tried a full system recovery installation?

To me that sounds like this, the recovery disc has already deleted files or began to wipe your HARD drive if you are sure that the files are still stored on your HARD drive?

In my opinion the easiest way is if you put the HARD internal drive in an external HARD drive enclosure. Then, you can easily connect via USB to another computer and save the data if they are not removed.

Do you still have the MBP? If so you can manually copy and paste the files you need.

If you do not have the pro more, you need to buy a USB key and plug it into the MBA... use it as a target. Once you have a system file of the previous laptop again, you have to manually choose what to copy across.

Given the 10.5.8 to 10.6 Snow Leopard upgrade.  Meet the Intel/memory minimum requirments.  After a full backup of course.  Anything I should be aware of before trying this?  Possible to the functions/effects?  My data (mp3, photos, documents, etc.) will not be affected?  I also have Windows for Mac.  It will not be affected?  Recent browser performance is untenable in weeks.  Safari 5.0.6.  Now even my Firefox is fact-zo.  Process seems simple enough, but thought I would ask a preview as many reviews on here seem to go anyway in regard to recommend it.  Thought that I have gathered a few comments before the trigger (or not) thank you to all those wh

Just to start with this one:

I also have Windows for Mac.

I assume you mean that you run Windows in a virtual machine such as Parallels? If so, the machine virtual peut must be updated.

When you install Snow Leopard, make sure to choose the option to do a custom install, so you can select the check box for Rosetta, or it will not install and PowerPC applications will not run. Not a huge deal if you miss. The first time you try to run a PPC application if Rosetta has not been installed, OS X offers to download and install it for you.

Firefox works under Snow Leopard, which is the oldest version of OS X Mozilla always supports. Safari installed with SL will remain grossly outdated and should not be used.

Nothing will happen to your documents, although I can't say with certainty that all the apps from third party that allows you to open will not be updated. They can. They cannot. For example, Office 2004 will run as long as Rosetta is installed.

  • HP Pavilion dv8339us: Hp pavilion dv8339us had to do a full restore

I have a HP Pavilion dv8339us Entertainment Notebook Pc. First off I know it's old things started to act up and I run scans for viruses and malware did not find anything wrong. So, I did a full restore. Well, to say the least which did not help. Now, I'm trying to bring things up-to-date errors pop up on everything I do. My media center is requests a license, but it's funny because it came with my computer fully installed. Any help would be appreciated.

I probably won't be too popular here but XP Media Center is dead. Microsoft has withdrawn all support for him and I suspect not much will work on that. This laptop will work fine for Windows 7 and would probably also go Windows 10.

You probably have an older version of XP Media Center and the prompt for the key Code is apparently a known issue with versions earlier than Service Pack 3. You must download and install Service Packs manually:

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/811632

Even if get you it fixed, any version of Windows XP at this stage is not something that I would recommend a friend to use. I think there maybe one or 2 antivirus programs that will work on this, but even if find you one that he can't really be made safe.

In fact, I like the dv8000 series. I think they were ahead of their time and are probably still usable material if you would put a modern operating system on this subject.

I'm doing a full restore on my Windows Vista desktop. When I click Start on recovery management, another box appears called Microsoft .NET framework. I hit continue, but it won't allow me to clikc OK to start recovery... At the end of the box, it is said when JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box. Any suggestions?

    Hello

These are the normal methods to use the process of recovery of the manufacturer:

    1. in a Vista operating system running, using the process of recovery of the manufacturer (Recovery Management, etc.), you use apparently.

    2. to start by pressing a particular key or set of keys (F10, F11, etc) according to the installer from the manufacturer...

    3. using the recovery disks provided, or the recovery discs that you made of their recovery Partition.

If you cannot access or use one of these methods, you will need to ask for assistance from your computer manufacturer while the recovery process is installed by them, not by Microsoft.

    See you soon.

I watch a movie, and then after 10 minutes or if the video is empty. How can I continue to see the video until it's over?

    Watch a movie about what?

In other words - you look a the Internet via Netflix movie streaming?  A video streaming via Hulu?  A video that is saved on your hard drive?  A video that is stored on a shared network is accessible on your local network?  What is a DVD?   BluRay?  He plays using SilverLight?  Adobe Flash Player?  QuickTime?  RealPlayer?  Or something more local like WIndows Media Player or VLC?  Something else?

I would like to say - in general...

    (1) uninstall all of the aforementioned Internet plugins.  Reset.  Download and install the latest versions (Adobe Flash Player, Microsoft SilverLight, Apple QuickTime, or RealPlayer).  Reset.  Try again.

    2) update your video card/device driver from the manufacturers of video cards and devices web page.  (You probably have a nVidia or ATI/AMD video card processor).

    (3) check the settings of your screensaver and Hibernate...
