Try to publish (the MM6 project on your drive hard economy)
in .wmv or .avi format and then import the recorded movie
file in DVD creation.

I did a film with clips in MM and all is well. However, when I publish on DVD, it save the project and opens in the creation of DVD. It starts encoding, gets to 2.5% and stays there forever (overnight).
If I try to publish the movie on the computer, it goes to the screen 'Édition Movie' and never moves from 0%.
I literally spent about 20 hours. try to make a film of 40 min. of school my son concert.

What are the system requirements for Windows Live Essentials 2012? Is it compatible with Windows XP SP3?
Thanks for your answer, but according to this http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/essentials-home
On the top it says this
"Plus with free programs for Windows XP" by clicking view system requirements it does not mention Windows XPI installed Windows Live Photo Gallary on Windows XP not Windows Photo Gallery.
What is the difference between Windows Live Photo Gallery and Windows Photo Gallery?
The link you cite, click view configuration and you will see clearly XP is not included.
Also, for me, he said: "with free programs with Windows, not XP.
I can't answer your question of PG. I can tell you that I don't like WL Photo Gallery 2011 and installed Windows Photo Gallery 2.6 on my Win7 machine. It is basically the same as the XP version.

Cannot view videos from SD card on Windows 8
I got the new laptop with Windows 8 OS. My Sony DC-SX45 camera has an SD memory card with the files it contains. I tried to load the files on my computer to edit and publish of MovieMaker. The files were showing the file system "MPEG" instead of normal "MP4" files system When I pulled them up, the screen was black. I can hear the video, but do not see it. It will not appear in MovieMaker or Windows Media Player. I can watch the video in the VCR from Toshiba, but that's all. Is there a setting on the camera that I have to change? It will work with Windows 8, or is there an updated driver, I need? Any help with this issue is appreciated. I want to put my videos but can not see the in Movie Maker so I can change them before I post.
According to microsoft, the format MP4 and MPEG2 are supported.

MovieMaker video clips or deletes the part.
Video MPEG2 plays well in Windows Media player, when I drag to MovieMaker only 1 or 2 seconds will play and the rest is missing or deleted. Also happens in MovieMaker in Windows Live and the previous version. This is before any change or modification is made.
Hi jtnolte,
· Are you able to play other video files in Windows Movie Maker?
· What is the movie file extension?
Windows Movie Maker does not support the format of file .mpeg2. You need to convert the video file to any compatible file type.
There is no converter of Microsoft software, but you can use your favorite search engine and download any file of .mpeg2 third converter and convert it to .wmv format or any other format.
Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Windows XP MovieMaker: half top videos are missing!
Here's how the problem occurred:
I dragged the WMV video in Moviemaker and edited. I saved the project and then clicked the "Save to my computer" option in Moviemaker. I accept the default and Moviemaker does its thing.
The video is nice - except that only the bottom half actually shows. The sound is very good, but half superior of the video is in black. The video plays perfectly fine in Moviemaker itself - the complete picture is shown - but you can't see the bottom of half of the video while it plays in Windows Media Player and RealPlayer. Even in the directory folder that this clip is stored in the thumbnail image has a half black superior.
I have successfully done dozens of clips in the past with Moviemaker then I suspect that it is the result of a recent upgrade.
No matter who suffers of this - or any ideas how I can fix? I need to get these videos made this weekend...
Thanks in advance.
