Moving Documents folder ' Adobe'

Hi all

This weekend I started deep cleaning and organizing my phone past. In doing so, I tried to spend all my Adobe files in my applications folder. With a reinstall of the application of Office CC (in which I was able to change the preferences of installed applications installation later) and programs such as first, After Effects, etc, I was able to get what I thought were all the files in my folder of Adobe applications.

However, when I open certain apps, a folder is created in My Documents. Named "Adobe", the folder contains subfolders for Adobe Media Encoder and Lumetri. The subfolders contain 9.0 files and inside those are logs, settings folders and files from other programs.

I have looked into the preferences of both of these applications and not yet able to find a way to keep this folder to appear at this location. I expected to find a way to change the location for creating the Adobe folder, actually he rerouting of Documents to Applications. Any help?

So my answer to your previous question, twice in the Premiere Pro forum has not helped?

    XP Home SP3 on my laptop (no not in network - independent).

    After an Adobe Reader 10 X installed, there is a reboot, and when I logged in the profile that appeared was not mine - it was as if it was a new installation. I looked for my personal documents under My Documents and did not find them. So, I looked for them on the C: drive, found (no not noted where), and copied My Documents to what seemed like the name /my Documents /. After that, I could access my documents by clicking Start-My Documents online. I did another reboot. Now, after login, my old profile is displayed, and the My Documents folder is empty except for the value by default my pictures, my music, my videos, and favorite - and these are all basically empty.

    I then ran a program Search and Recover to find my documents - they were found under C:\Documents and Settings\TEMP\. Unfortunately, I can't seem to see that to explore (I have it configured to display the hidden files and folders). Is it possible to go to this folder and the moving my Documents back to my profile?

    Hello

    You can view these methods:

    Method 1:

    Check to see if the problem exists in Safe Mode, if the computer works as expected in mode without failure, then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state.
    a. refer to the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP
    A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    b. it is a possibility that there is a startup program that is launched with a command line and it appears.
    You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.
    How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-us
    Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Method 2:

    System Restore takes a "snapshot" of critical system files and some program files and the registry settings and stores this information as restore points. If your computer is not working properly, you can use these points to return Windows XP to a previous state when your computer was working properly restore. It can also change scripts, batch files, and other types of executable files on your computer.

  • Downlaod link in Adobe Air in Documents folder automatically without pop up dialog box...

    Hello

    Can someone help me understand or provide a code example on the method, I would need to take to download a file from the internet and automatically that Adobe Air stores this file somewhere on my computer (probably the Documents folder) and also not pop-up that keep in dialog?

    I'm downloading a file very well now, but the main problem is that the pop-up window comes up and ask me where I want to save the file. I didn't need to do that. I want to automatically record in a directory on my computer.

    Thank you guys

    A long time ago when I was first in the AIR, I created a downloader application to do essentially what you ask for. Here is the code for the part you need to download and save a file. If the file you download is generated dynamically, or has links to specific reference, you will have to do something fancy to know the file extension to know what should be the full file name. I just tested the code for download of an image and the file for the FileStream ASDoc HTML

    import flash.events.Event;
    import flash.filesystem.File;
    import flash.filesystem.FileMode;
    import flash.filesystem.FileStream;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    import flash.net.URLStream;
    import flash.utils.ByteArray;

    var documentsDirectory:File = File.documentsDirectory;// active user documents directory
    var fileName:String;
    var fileToSave:File;
    var fileStream:FileStream;
    var fileData:ByteArray;

    var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/filesystem/FileStream.html");
    var urlStream:URLStream = new URLStream();
    urlStream.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onDownloadComplete);
    urlStream.load(urlRequest);

    function onDownloadComplete(e:Event):void {
      // get the index position of the last forward slash in the file path
      var startIndex:int = urlRequest.url.lastIndexOf("/") + 1;

      // set fileName equal to url string starting after the last forward slash
      fileName = urlRequest.url.substring(startIndex);

      // create a new File object at the user Directory folder with the correct file
      fileToSave = documentsDirectory.resolvePath(fileName);name

      // create ByteArray to store data downloaded from URLLoader
      fileData = new ByteArray();

      // write the data from URLLoader to ByteArray
      urlStream.readBytes(fileData, 0, urlStream.bytesAvailable);

      // create FileStream to save data to File
      fileStream = new FileStream();

      // open file in a WRITE mode to save data to the File
      fileStream.open(fileToSave, FileMode.WRITE);

      // write the data to the file
      fileStream.writeBytes(fileData, 0, fileData.length);

      // close FileStream when done
      fileStream.close();
    }

  • Adobe, the creation of new "documents" folder, all of a sudden

    I have CS4. On a PC, Windows Vista.

    I started to use still today. The program had a few random problems that kept crashing the program. I started a new file after a reboot, and now it has worked well.

    HOWEVER, Adobe now suddenly creates a NEW 'Documents' folder in the folder of the user box (video, music, photos, etc.). He USED to put all these files remain in the existing Documents folder, does not create a new breath! It does this for all CS4 programs I open now.

    Any ideas how can I fix? It's extremely annoying!

    Thank you!

    You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

    When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

    -Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
    -Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
    -Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

    You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
    4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

    You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

    Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

    -Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
    -On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
    -Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
    -Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
    -Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
    -Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  • How can I keep XP pro to create a 'My music' folder by default in C; \MyDocuments after I moved the folder on a 2nd HARD drive?

    I installed a 2nd HDD in my PC and moved the folder my music on the new drive. Now, XP Pro creates a my music folder on default in C:\MyDocuments once again on the C:\ drive and stores music files here by default. I don't want a folder my music on the C:\ drive, that's why I installed a 2nd HDD to keep my separate music. Is it possible to 'say' XP Pro does not create the default folder?

    Hello Toddy - USA,

    Unfortunately, this is normal and default Windows creates a Documents folder even if you delete it. However, if you have saved the music to another folder, you can set Media Player to use a default folder to access music files.

    a. Open Media Player, press the Alt key to bring up the file menu.

    b. click on file, manage libraries, and music.

    Here you can add and remove sites and also to select the default location.

  • Missing My Documents folder

    I tried to back up the My Documents folder to a DVD player, but he did not write the disk and now I have a My Documents folder.  I tried restoring the system (using different restore points), but he failed.

    Click on Start - Programs - Accessories - run and type

    Shell: personal

    This will open Documents (note there is not my Vista in) as I suspect that you have probably moved to the CD burning storage area. If it is good, click on the Documents in the file - properties - location tab and click on restore by default.

    If Shell: personal not find it then type shell: CD Burning term and see if the Document is in the storage area of CD burning.

    It will search your entire hard drive for the Documents folder. Click on start - all programs - accessories - right click on command prompt and choose Run as administrator. Type
    dir /ad /s "c:\documents"

  • Dropbox and Windows 7 - the 'My Documents' folder location

    Is there a risk of changing the location of the "My Documents" folder either in Dropbox, so that all files are synchronized automatically?  This would avoid having to always drag files and remember what has been dragged and implemented to date.

    Dropbox seems to be a good tool to keep all the files synchronized on multiple platforms and devices, and it's a suggestion in an article.  It have a negative impact in Windows or damage the organizational structure of the file?

    As long as you use the button "Move" of Windows 7 in the properties of My Documents, that you will do whatever it is that Windows is not set up to do.  The "Move" button is discussed in the following article in Lifehacker, but 'RichR' post in forum Dropbox gives a description of the overall process with some advice on places where to set up your Dropbox folder before moving my Documents inside.  There are a number of other ways to accomplish the same thing but the do this as described above seems to be the simplest and also one that makes what Windows was already intended to do via the function "move".

  • Slow check after moving documents to another drive

    About 2 months ago, I installed Windows 7 on SSD and moved the Documents folder to the D drive.

    Since then, economy has got slower and slower, sometimes 3 + minutes to save a file!

    I needed to upgrade to a larger hard drive, so now I installed a 6 TB drive and uses less than half of it, and it starts to slow down too.

    No idea what my problem is and the solution?

    I appreciate your help for advice.

    Don

    Hi Don,

    We ask the following information so that we can help you further.

    (1) what is the brand and model of the SSD and your computer?

    (2) you have any application security third party installed on your computer?

    Files transfer rate depends on the size of the file get transferred and the version of USB Port (2.0 or 3.0).

    I suggest you disable all third-party antivirus (if installed) programs. Firewalls and programs third-party antivirus can interfere with the copy process. This is why disable all third-party software installed temporarily. Now try to install and check.

    Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Let us know the details asked so that we can help you further.

  • How it warns all downloaded documents to visit the virtualized Documents folder

    Just got a new laptop with Windows 7 and I am very frustrated with the limitation of ridiculous security interfering with my work.

    I download a lot of files jpg of Ancestry.com.  They seem to go in My Documents folder that you specified, but are not visible in Explorer.  This happens with all files downloaded from the internet even if done on the desktop. After 3 unsuccessful attempts of Geek Squad agents, I finally understand they're going to temporary Internet files / virtualized. It seems that my C: drive all is now assigned as C: / appears under the virtualized folder.  I can get around this problem of security assinine to track down files and moving them to the location I thought I was keeping them but it is a real pain.  Is there a setting that I can change so that these files are not in the folder virtualized?  How can I get my C: / drive out of the virtualized folder?  Security doesn't let me do anything with it and I am the one and only user/administrator on this computer.  Windows XP, how I miss you?

    OK - as far as I know Windows 7 does NOT come natively with a folder "virtualized" whatever it is, you're talking about.

    If this is a NEW computer, then I think you should contact the support desk for your brand on what is happening.
