• CC Moving Photoshop layers when exporting PNG with transparent background

  Hey, if someone could help that would be great.

  I make videos and use photoshop to create subtitles/text using the type tool, transparent background and then superimpose the image file into iMovie.

  However, sometimes photoshop decides to move the text, even if I do not have when exporting, only seems to happen if the background is transparent.

  I think you'll find that the border of the images are not the same, because of the background is transparent. You can check by looking at the dimensions in pixels for both images. They should be the same.

  Perhaps a preferences Reset could fix.  Cmd k will lead you to the Photoshop preferences where you will see this screen.

  Hey guys! I'm new to After Effects and I have a big problem.

  I created an image in photoshop, consisting of several layers of each with a little white line 1 layer with text and 4. The image is set to RGB. So I save it to my computer and go to the AE. Once I import the psd as composition I see is called 'Logo' (which I saved as psd).  You will find below is a drop-down list display of each layer. I would like to animate the layers individually, so I select all and drag them down in the timeline panel, but in the preview, it shows all my layers of line as just white squares containing the entire layer. The only layer that works as expected is the text layer, which shows the text, then the white background. I my AE background for black if this matter the value. Oh, and the composition of the Logo, which has imported looks as it should in the preview.

  You guys could help me understand what goes wrong?

  I have a comp with 5 precomps in it. But when I do save image under... Photoshop layers, I expect to get a PSD with 5 layers.  But instead, I get 5 groups folder containing all the layers in my precomps. This isn't so bad, but I'm using useless and modes which are not supported by Photoshop, so miss me parts of my image because AE is not flattening each layer precomp before rendering. I do not remember this behavior before (but I do not often use this feature).  Is - this here anyway to control how AE manages precomps when Frame using Save as Photoshop layers?

  I built a 3d cube and I want to get it as a menu into Encore. The thing that intrigues me is that when I export via the command "Save as photoshop layers" in AE, the PSD resulting looks totally different from the model of EI that I taped.

  I tried to precompose everything so that I have only one layer in my computer to output, but that did not help. I also added an effect to the precomp to see if it helped, but the results are the same. It looks like little to the camera went inside the cube in the PSD! I double checked that I have the active camera defined as my point of view in the comp window.

  Any idea on what could cause this?

  In fact, the behavior is correct. She uses the stacking order, not visibility to generate the respective Photoshop layers.   So my problem is that when I import a psd into AE, the preview for each of my diaper is completely white. I think it's because the background is white, they should be showing a few white lines and a transparent background. The overview of all of the compositions are fine it's just the layers that are misbehaving and these are what I want to animate. The only layer that works is my text layer, it has a transparent background as it should. The Image is saved as RGB, do not know if this is important.

  I took a peek. You use layers to shape for the corners. They come in correctly as masks. You must import the PSD as a composition by keeping the dimensions of the layer, and then open the publication. That's what you will get:

  

  I would have done all this in Illustrator, but in this case, Photoshop will work fine.

  I seem to encounter the same problem. I am importing a psd file into After Effects as "Composition - layer to keep sizes. If I place a psd layers in my main composition, they appear blurry. However, if I choose to place the composition that is generated for the psd file when it is imported into AE, be they crunchy (I hope, I am making sense here). I need to have the psd as separate layers, so placing this composition inside my main composition is not an option. Any help would be appreciated.

  The problem with your edges is that the second layer is positioned on the half pixel. Change position so that the values are integers. If this does not work then replace the work in Photoshop.

  Right, so I've never really been much of a Photoshop guy.  As a Motion Designer / 3D Animator for 15 years, I've never met anything, I could not do with After Effects and/or Cinema 4 d (with Final Cut or more recently first added for good measure).

  However, I find myself in a unique and quite frustrating situation.  I need to export a model of the single image as a PSD layered image.  Easy, isn't it?  Of course, but it seems to be a few big enough caveats.  Whenever I try, I get the message:

  

  So, the first thing I did is get rid of my caches either replace them with masks or rendered a flattened version of only these two or three layers, then I could re - import and replace the dull pair of the track with just a normal raster layer.  I did until my computer was completely free of caches, and yet I still get this message.  Now, my efforts have contributed to the appearance of the resulting file when opened in Photoshop, but I still a change of color of light cyan to a shade much green, and I'm getting some transparency that I wasn't expecting in a few places.  Only blending modes that I use are Normal, Add, screen and multiply.  I don't know much about the PS, but I know she has these means available to it.

  The message speaks however for these 2 things... In other words, there must be yet ANOTHER incompatible element in the game, but I don't know what it is, or even how to track him down.  At this point, I almost want to just make it individually to each layer and try to manually assemble in Psalm... but come on.   Right - I discovered caches fairly quickly and eliminated.  As you can see from my screenshot above, I'm not using the mattes in my computer.

  I decided to go on the removal of layer by layer, until I had an export without the error message.  Turn, it's the Add mode that causes the problem.  So, I made an export of all of the layers that did not employ this mode and then exports the 2 layers that use it.  I then opened the batch in PS, flies over them adjusted until I had the right look and 2 isolated layers.  Oddly, I ended using Add (which PS called linear density) but with better results when EI he did 'automatically' export.  The only difference now in my PS layer stack, it is that I had duplicate layer flare (and ramp down its opacity to about half) to get the same 'brightness', I had in my AE comp.  I also no longer had the hue-shift reported previously.

  So, in the interest to have a definitive list of the updates warn workflow, we know now there is a problem with the way After Effects converts the layers with the straight-line method in a layer of PS.

• How can I add States of button separately without Photoshop layers?

  I know that I can make a layered Photoshop file to import buttons and their States in Muse using the "Place Photoshop Button... ',

  but I'd rather do them individually manually which is to export each State of Photoshop as files independent .png in my assets folder, such as normalbutton.png, overbutton.png, activebutton.png and manually import each State?  Any ideas?

  Select your State in the 'States' Panel and set your images as a "fill". I assume that all your images/layers are the same size?

• Moved Photoshop CS6 Application error

  Today I started to receive an error message that Photoshop is spent. Only, I get this message if Photoshop is not running and that I did a right click on something and choose open with Photoshop.

  

  If I launched Photoshop first and then make a right click Open with photoshop everything is fine. If the Application had really moved then Photoshop shouldn't complain when I double click on it in the Finder or open it with spotlight?

  I read a few other threads and it seems that their problem was caused by migration from another Mac Photoshop. This isn't my case. Photoshop was working fine last week. No change over the weekend.

  Ideas?

  Looks like you have 2 copies for some reason any.

  You need search and delete this second copy.

  I use Photoshop CS6 extended on a Mac. My client asked a PSD file with layers, which I provided. The web developer is on Windows CS6 and is unable to see the layers in the file. Do you know why the layers are not visible to the user of Windows?

  How do you send the file? Some e-mail programs can change the files.

  If you save a separate copy for Windows users, see the layers is checked in the dialog box.

  You probably have thumbnails of the Panel layer set to none.

  I run Photoshop version 12.1 on a mac (OS X 10.6.8 version) and the strangest thing happened yesterday.

  Everything by creating a document as I usually do, all my options layer suddenly becomes grayed out. The only thing I can do now by right-clicking on a layer is converted to a smart object or Select similar layers. No reproduction, options, no flattening of amalgamation or merger. I can always apply merger options using the back icon in the layer window, but I can't select it in the menu drop-down if I right click. Also, I can't use the layer options in the menu layers at the top.

  I used photoshop way back since Photoshop 4.5 and most other version between she and CS5 and I never had this problem. I tried searching online but its all the people asking why the background is locked. Someone has an idea? Is this a kind of "you press the tab" agree?

  Try the sacking of Photoshop preferences... to leave Photoshop then restart all pressing the command/option and shift keys. Note, in fact it means that you have to go back and to set your preferences they way you had them.
