  I just downloaded Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeling (2.0.0.57.0) [released July 1, 2009] by selecting the option ' Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler for Windows (this zip file contains the JRE).
  
  After that I installed the same and tried to start clicking on datamodeler.exe, I get the following error message
  
  "Failed to create an instance of the JVM on the path:... \jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll.
  
  On the same machine, I can successfully run the SQL Oracle program without error. My machine is having Windows XP Professional SP3.
  
  Any ideas? If there is a problem with Java, that of the Oracle SQL Developer should also not run. But as I said it runs with any error, but the Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler gives the above error.

  Hey Jawad,

  you wrote you have 960 MB of RAM - how did you do a test with 1.5 MB of RAM and 2 MB of RAM?
  No doubt this is a problem of memory - memory change in the datamodeler.conf file option:
  -There 'AddVMOption-Xmx768M"by default; to take
  -"AddVMOption-Xmx512M" or never, making it suitable for your configuration - you can check the available free memory first.

  In this tutorial, I'm supposed to make Entity Transactions containing two attributes that designates the bosses (patron_id) and Books (book_id) (2.1.4) entities

  Later, I add two one-to-many relationships that attributes mentioned twice in the entity of Transactions (patron_id1 and book_id1). (2.1.5)

  So here are my questions: what is the purpose of creating attributed to point 2.1.4 if they are then reproduced in paragraph 2.1.5?

But when I click "Render As", only make model for audio is shown in the choice of ".flac", ".ac3", ".aif", ".mp3", ".ogg", ".pca", ".wav" and "w64 '...   Hey I know it's super old, but maybe my suggestions will help someone anyway. What I found is that when you try to export an audio clip or give priority to an audio clip that Sony Vegas will automatically that the whole project is for sound only; even if you add your video clips and effects later. This makes it super annoying when you try to make your video project and you can only see the audio rendering options. After clicking on 'display as', you may find that the options that you have are all audio models. For a change, who simply click on the small blue link under the 'Browse...' button that says 'more Filter Options'. You should see a bunch of options appear under the output Format:

  Check the box "only of video models" and voila! Your video options are back! Worked for me hope I could help you because it really frustrated me after working on my project all day LOL.

  I have a SQL database. In my table, there is a column 'categories' (with different categories (computer, books... etc.)).

  

  In my AS3, I managed to recover "theDescription" when the user select a category. With the URLMethod and a php file.

  Hi-I've never used PHP so I could be wrong here - but it seems to me you're a loop in the records, each time as reset $theDescription to all that is in the current (rather than accumulate output) record. If you are effctively echo only the last record in the query.

  I think you should be either running the command echo inside your loop, or alternatively the concatenation of a string inside the loop and then echoing the end of the loop?

  I would be likely to generate XML data in PHP (just by concatenating strings) and then use it in my AS3 code.

  If you need perform the following steps to import:
  
  Template file-> Import-> Oracle Designer-> select connection to the base-> select work area-> select System application-> select an entity-> click Finish-> begins to import
  
  
  During the import process, I see an alert with the message dialog box:

  I is currently working on a program that ask a SQL database for the data from the sensors and converts these data into a spreadsheet for future use.

  My problem is the following:
  I can access and read the data very well; However, the data I'm after are stored in the database as a hexadecimal number (example: "0 X 5727000...) ». When I pass this through this vi "DB Tools Fetch Item Data", he captures the data and the autoconverts it in ascii. It is a huge problem because the data contains several pieces of information and must be analyzed before his conversion in order to achieve the correct value (and wrong format in ascii).

  Is it possible to recover the data as a string containing only the hexagonal information? I already have the code that converts it to; I need as hexadecimal values and not ascii he tries to AutoFormat to.

  Your data are permanently binary.  And how it is stored in the database is a function of some program put in there.  It is not a case of LabVIEW doing any "autoconverting".

  "more labview uses the display format Hex to work more on television anyway.

  So the next question is what is the continuation of the work you want on these data?  There is a function call "String to Byte Array" that converts the characters in a table of U8.  So now, you have a table of numbers of U8.  What you then do with that depends on what all these data are supposed to represent.

  I try to configure vFoglight 6.1 with an external SQL-database. To the point "vFoglight database Configuration" I have the problem, I have can´t to connect to the database. What I need to use an SQL account for the connection or is it possible to connect with windows authentication?

  vFoglight requires only access 'DBO' (the database owner). If you install vFoglight and select "configure DB later", it will create the necessary scripts to the installation of the database. Make sure that all scripts are run, then you can move the newspapers to any player. FYI: Make sure that the DB login ID and default database is set to the name of the database.

  I tried to Oracle sql developer Data Modeler to see the relational ER diagrams.
  Tables are entered data maker but indicated no relationship between tables.

  SDDM cannot create a diagram with only simple table definitions. It requires primary keys (PKs) and the foreign key (FK) to be defined first. My guess is that you've imported these drawings from an existing database table. If so, this database does not contain these constraints. (I found this to be a problem in many organizations over the past 20 years - including my current job). You will need to determine:

  1. the PKs for each table (whether via the data profiling or to talk to someone who 'knows' what they are supposed to be, or by reading the logic/code of the application used to manage tables).
  2. the FKs between tables. You may be able to guess some based on column names, otherwise you will have to understand (ditto)

  Then you can update the model in SDDM with PK definiions (manually). You must do this before you draw in the FKs between tables. Now if you want a real entity-relationship model, you must create a logic model of the relational model. SDDM utility to convert the tables to entities and the relationships FKs.

  I have the basic steps with screenshots described in a presentation I gave in Denver at the end 2009. It was an earlier version of SDDM but the basics are the same.   I have Oracle 10 g 2.
  
  My problem is the following:
  
  I created a network named ITALIA_NET in the data model for the Oracle network.
  The table of links of this network is named: ITALIA_NET_LINK$.
  The table of the nodes of this network is named: ITALIA_NET_NODE$.
  
  The table ITALIA_NET_LINK$ contains a field named COST that contains links (in meters) lengths.
  
  I've already calculated the SHORTEST PATH between two nodes of the network, by using the method of shortestPath() (using the Java API) as shown on "Pro Oracle Spatial for Oracle Database 11 g" manual. Infact, this method makes reference to the COST field for $ ITALIA_NET_LINK to make this calculation.
  
  Now, I want to calculate the FASTER PATH between two nodes of the network. I have the links (in hours) travel time to make this calculation.
  
  My idea is to create a new field in ITALIA_NET_LINK$ named Cost2 containing the travel time from the links and then do the math by using the shorthestPath() method, referring to the Cost2 field to $ ITALIA_NET_LINK COST field instead.
  By default, I know that the shorthestPath() method returns the COST field for $ ITALIA_NET_LINK. Is possible to change this setting and do that this method refers to the Cost2 field?
  
  In the alternative, is another way for the calculation of the fastest way?
  I want to leave the creation of another network as last solution, because I will have other costs of field (Cost3, cos4t,...)

  Your approach is good. You will have two networks and you can read them in memory and analyze of shortest path. The shortestPath method is static for the class of NetworkManager. You can use the same method for both networks, once they are read into memory.

  In the future, if you upgrade to 11g, network data model provides a load on demand (LOD) API that loads only the scores of necessary network in memory during the analysis. This command removes the restriction of the memory of the 10g (in memory API you use) API. API of LOD can handle very large networks and offers more features analysis and modeling capabilities.

  I'm trying to understand the differences between Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler and the possibility to use the SQL Developer Data Modeler.
  
  I have looked at two home pages produced on OTN, http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/datamodeler/index.html & http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/index.html and would appreciate your comments on my findings so far
  
  (1) the Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler is a paid product stand-a-lone while using the Data Modeler of SQL Developer feature is free
  
  (2) the Data Modeler in SQL Developer functionality is basically a "viewer" I create my existing table of DR. by dragging in the Modeler in the object browser, but that's all. I can't save the diagram for later use or use to change the structure of the or the tables
  
  (3) if I need to have 'Oracle Designer' as ERD capability so I need to use Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler (after purchase!)
  
  (4) are there other differences that I missed?
