  Hello

  I get the following error on one of my virtual server Windows 2008 R2 and tried many solutions, but still this event logging on my server.
  The GUID mentioned in the event is related to Virtual Disk Service and I checked all the security permission associated with setting in component services, as well as in the Windows registry, but no luck yet.
  Please help solve this problem.

  I would like to see weather which is turn on the Windows or turn OFF firewall and at what time on Windows 2008.

  As what I had checked, I could see this on Windows 7 (Event Viewer/Applications and Services/Logs/Microsoft/Windows/Windows Firewall With Advanced Security/Firewall), but this does not show on Windows 2008.

  Is anyway to add this in Windows 2008?

  I enabled the functionality of SNMP Service and found the following error:

  "Error 2019: Extension SNMP event log Agent has not initialized properly in windows 2008 R2 Enterprise 64-bit.

  I uninstalled all related SNMP Applications and reinstalled the functionality of the SNMP Service, however, I always do face the same error.

  According to the following of Article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/128729 , this requires to contact microsoft to obtain the fix.

  I have a subscription with Microsoft technical support to download the fix mentioned the article above.

  Can I know how much is possible to export the local security settings (including local policies, event log, models of administration) to a stand-alone Windows 2008 Server to a single file (for example, html or txt)?

  I know that "gpresult" can do, but it works only on member servers. Can we capture output similar to a server that is not joined to the domain?

  We use windows 2008 R2 and I configured FSRM (File Server Resource Manager) surveillance system. When I'm followed by the file system and file modified , there is no alert don't generate for this event, but for certain events such as when I'm trying any file, will generate the alert.

  I installed Windows 2008 R2 64-bit Enterprise edition, build 7600
  on virtualbox 4.0.0.

  the client blocks at different times of the day, and I can't
  (actually don't know where to look for problems) find the place where
  the problem is.

  While watching the "Event Viewer", it seems than before
  the system hangs, there is a registered general kernel event,
  indicating that time system has been adjusted.

  the last shot, took place a few minutes after the

  has been adjusted (in the same minute).

  I thought that this may be due to virtualbox zone mechanism,
  but I have another windows guest (2003 64 bit) on the

  2008 R2 64 bit) do not have this problem, but they are

• Very high CPU usage in svchost during playback of an event in a major newspaper of the events using WMI

  I have a very high utilization of the processor in the process 'svchost.exe LocalServiceNetworkRestricted' during playback of an event in an event log in Windows 2008 64 SP02 using local or remote WMI.  The same happens using Wbemtest or C++ WMI code.  The use of WbemTest, "Open forum" (identical to one the GetObject of WMI API) read just one of recent events in the event log:

  Win32_NTLogEvent.logfile = "application", recordNumber = 2615657 (in this case, it was the id since the last event in the very large to the Application event log)

  takes 3/4 seconds consuming thant plus 50% of the monitored computer CPU.  This only occurs when the event log is very large (in my case 1 million records), the event log contains about 10000 events just fine.

  The problem is that I read the complete paper in a remote program and this product CPU usage charge too much CPU to the monitored computer.  I do not read the newspaper of the events one by one, but I'm using WQL queries but I do some GetObjects and the peformance is really terrible.

  Any idea what to change or search?

  I have Windows 2008 R2 standard. Whenever I tried to backup systemstate via windowserverbackup, it failed and gave me a 521 event and error 2155348249 and saying: there is not enough space to create vs...
  However, if I did backup other files, it went fine.  I have a lot of free disk space on C.  I could not find a solution on the web.  I increased shadowstorage vssadmin and no help.

  I have a windows 2008 sp1 64-bit server that is running Exchange 2007 sp1 on a passive node of a CCR cluster... There are 2 groups in our org, all other servers update very well... windows firewall is disabled...

  I had one "update failed 800 b 0100" run windows update to KB969947 (which is successfully installed on all machines)...

  followed by all scenarios http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947366 ... even uninstalled my Symantec Mail Security 6 on this node... always the update fails...

  It's huge (+ 10 GB), then it may not be the best way. You can download and install the drivers one at a time. Start with the chipset driver, then install the drivers for the device with the yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager, have installed drivers 'generic' and all available drivers that are newer to the native Windows drivers - you will need probably the video drivers and the network may be drivers. You must also install OpenManage Server Administrator (Managed Node).
