  I recently bought a Satellite P300 - 18 M, from an independent retailer with no return policy. good on the PC is a brand new, sealed, etc and I get the Toshiba standard warranty.

• Windows 7 - cannot get updates for Office 2003

  After hours of talking on the phone, I turn on these forums for help.

  Whenever I try to update my windows vista with the recent service pack more computer, it tells me "Windows update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running." I'm running it from my admin account and I was curious to see if the same thing was happening with my other accounts. When I checked the they were fine and ready to go except the said that i needed approval admin even if I was giving him. • Windows 7 cannot install the drivers for my USB devices.

  Whenever I have connect my USB devices, windows is now impossible to install the unit. It shows the driver installation icon in the notification area and finally said failed.   You should try another recovery.

  New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure.
