Multi photo proofsheet printing color

using a j4550 all-in-one HP Officejet & a Pavilion dv5 PC laptop Windows 7

I want to reproduce the old fashioned 35 mm proofsheet (maybe 5 or 6 different overall and as low as much or more, photos on photos in color.)  is it possible and if so, how.

Yes it can. Just use a program like Word, Paint, Photoshop, ect. to organize the images on a single page. You do not have to change the originals, but you will need create new images or a new document with all the pictures inside to get the print from type test.

    Hello

This happens usually if the print options or preferences are changed for your printer. To select print options, you must open the image you want to print. Most print options are located in the print dialog box, which you can access on the file menu in the program that you are using. The options that are available to you depend on the program and the printer you use.

To access some options, you may need to click on the link 'Options' or 'Advanced Options' button or tab in the print dialog box. To learn more about the print options for a program, see the information for the program.

Printing options are determined by your printer capabilities are called printing preferences and may include printing separation pages, color or image quality options and Staples. Like program options, printing preferences are displayed in the print dialog box. Look for the buttons labeled "Préférences" or "Properties". You can choose preferences each time you print a picture or preferences to default configuration to use for all the photos you send to a printer.

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Set the default printing preferences.
    1. Click here to open Printers.
2 right-click the printer you want to use, and then click Printing Preferences.
    3. Select the preferences you want to use as the default the next time you print to the printer, and then click OK.

    Step 2: Use print preview:
To see what the print will look like before you print it, open the picture in Windows Photo Gallery that offers a preview before printing. Print preview is typically located on the file menu. You can choose the print in preview mode options and then print directly from the preview.

To solve printer problems, download and run the Microsoft fix it and check the result.

    I hope this helps.

  • DeskJet 5500 prints color cartridge 57 but your gray of the 58 photo color cartridge

My deskjet 5550 is supposed to print color photo with the 58 cartridge inserted into the cartridge slot 2. It has suddenly stopped making and now print only the dull grey tone. I replaced the cartridge with a new one and got the same result. Print the same file using the 57 cartridge to slot 1 still gives the color. Replacing the driver produces no change. I'm on a Mac and I'm printing from iPhoto. Having checked that no filter is in use. Any ideas, what could be wrong and how to fix it?  Thank you.

The cartrdiges 57 and 58 are necessary all to print the photo. The 57 a Cyan, Magenta and yellow. The 58A Photo Black, Light Magenta and Light Cyan. The printer can print photos with the 57 by itself, but the 58 by itself will not be able to print grayscale because there no yellow. In photo printing normal both cartridges are used together, the 57 provides vivid colors and the 58 provides subtle shades and black areas. When you print on plain paper 56 cartridge replaces the 58. The 56 was ink black pigment which is good for text but not used on photographic support. Regards, Bob Headrick, MS MVP printing and imaging

  • I have the new Windows 7 computer. Also have the HP office jet 5510 printer range. Printer does everything except printing color photos.

Windows 7 Professional Dell computer. HP Office jet 5510 printer all-in-one. Just had to plug in printer for it to work because the drivers are automated by Dell and HP.

Printer does everything but images printing color. Pics. out in black and white. I think I tried everything. This has happened since the new computer.

Nothing to do with the printer that used to be useful on the old computer is left as the amount of ink etc. I printed everything in color. It's just the pictures.

Hope this is enough information. Thank you. Muriel

Origonally you posted this Q 13 and it came true.

You have not installed according to the instructions of HP, but simply pluged in there. Follow the link to HP on the previous answer and install the device properly

  • HP Officejet 4630 does not print color

I am trying to print photos colors from my mac to my wireless printer. The computer and the printer register that there is a color ink cartridge in the printer, but it will just print colored picures. I downloaded and redownloaded the driver, y at - there a step I'm missing?

I'm glad to hear that it is not the printer @clairej7.

It probably has something to do with the driver, or the CUPS on the computer.

CUPS consists of a print spooler and Scheduler, a filter system that converts the print data in a format that the printer will understand and a back-end system that sends this data to the print device. CUPS uses the IPP (Internet Printing) Protocol as a basis for the management of the work of printing and queues. - Source

Whatever it is, to solve this problem, I suspect that the best approach is to reset the printing system, repair disk permissions, add the printer using the driver and try to print again.

    Reset the printing system

    1. Click on the Apple icon ( ), then click on System Preferences.
  • Does not print color

First, it started with my HP 6700 (driver ver 2.1) and now I just tried with my HP Envy 7640 (driver ver 2.0) on a 2nd network.

    • It prints color as gray or half-tone scale (don't know what you call it - it's not color).
    • Both printers print test ok colors page from the printer configuration options.
    • Both printers copy ok color documents.
    • Ink colors are in full in two printers (from the printer check ink level option).
    • Only when I try to print color on my computer (tried with both my MacBook Pro and MacBook Air + MacBook Air my wife). I tried printing photos (which is where I first noticed the problem) and Web sites and documents. No color.

I'm under El Capitan 10.11.1 but it started with Yosemite.

I deleted the driver and reinstalled. No resolution of the issue.

I even made a regeneration of permission (just in case). I have all the updates

Thus, it prints but not in color.  Colors print as gray or semitone scale.

A world without color is pretty dull.

    Suggestions welcome ;-)

  • Vista/Viewer Photo Gallery print problem with canon ip2500

Can someone enlighten me on a problem of color photo printing quality.

Running a relatively new machine Vista OS and Canon IP2500 inkjet printer, photo impressions paper out of looking very weak and faded, if printed photo gallery / print Viewer.

However, the printer seems to work perfectly OK producing images all in color, if the same photo, for example, is inserted into a Word document and then print.

I can't find any adjustment managed to make in the printer driver software, to improve the situation.

Is there a known issue with this combination of technology, or someone at - it a solution for me to be able to print correctly from the photo gallery / print viewer.

    Thanks for any help,

    Gerry

    Hi GerryWise

You have the latest drivers installed for the printer?

I suggest you to make sure you have the latest drivers installed for the printer.

Also after you select print in Photo Viewer, windows or windows live photo gallery you will get a new window asking "How do you want to print your photos?

Here, you must select 'document Type' (default value is regular paper which will result in faded prints). Choose the correct photo paper for your paper stock settings.

Then, you may or may not get a "Print preview" window according to your printer settings, preferably with additional choices for setting printer. Check the preview as well and move forward.

  • Photosmart C8180 All-in-one: not able to print colors light magenta and magenta

I bought photosmart c8180 about 3 years as a spare printer. I set up and printed a few pages. A printer was perfectly fine.  Last week, I decided to use this printer. When I tried to print, color photos are released totally foires.  I used the tools-alignment option and received a message that alignment was successful.  A printed page has rectangular bars at the end of the page and a magenta bar as well. He also printed two birds with some magenta color. For me, it's proof that the printer can use magenta colors. However, a self-test page came out without any of the magenta color. Under the color of the light magenta and magenta stars boxes were missing.

I look at the Forum and find out that some people had the same problem.  It dates back to the years of 2011. There are several experts HP answers to how to solve this particular problem.  However, even if it is from 2011 tread has been always open because these so-called 'experts' were not useful. I tried all - they do not help us.

I called technical support and representatives of hp told me that they cant't help me because this model is discontinued. They also surprised me a bit telling me to throw this printer.  If this is the best solution for this problem of ink for 8100 Series, then, please confirm as an expert. The thead element has been open since 2011 and I don't know that it's time to shut it down.

    Please, answer

    Hello

Because the printer is out of warranty, technical support may provide you option to get an improved printer (a different model) with a little low prices.

There is a problem with the printhead (ink delivery system) that cannot be repaired.

  • [Beginner] Printing - colors are strangely discreet

I tried, but was not able to find an answer.

I'm new to lightroom (like) and printing to a printer color regular (not a photo printer).

If I print my .jpg for IE, it reflects quite accurately colors.    If I feel of LR (I prefer - it scales better to fit on a single page photo) the colors are very discreet and do not at all resemble what is on the screen.  Printer even every time.

I use the default settings, nothing complicated.

Advice for a beginner would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Jessica

In the print module, printing task panel, under profile choose sRGB (at the moment it should be set to "Managed by the printer"). If you do not see sRGB in the list, choose other and find the sRGB profile there.

In Photos 1.5, you can select all the photos in the Filmstrip of the slide show, and then use the command "file > New Album.

This will create an album on the selected photos.

  • My 6100 printer has never been able to print colors

1 day he told me that the Blue cartridge (cyan) is empty, even when I replaced the cartridge with a new one, and he always says that the other colors are 'weak '. I've been printing the words black and white on a page, in fast draft mode, but the only time wherever I tried to print colors, she doesn't--a yellow cuff came out white, no colour at all.  He said always cyan is empty.  Now it will not print black and white at all. Am I supposed to spend $50 + new cartridges whenever I need to print something?

Also, is there a Ribbon of cellophane that I need to take it off inside the printer?  I see a coating cellophance on transport of the cartridge in the printer, but there is nothing in the manual that says to remove it.

Unable to print color seems a flaw for me.  Can I make a return?  I bought it two weeks ago.

    Catherine

    Hi CMBoston,

I understand that you were not able to print anything in color, and you see a piece of Ribbon of cellophane inside. I want to help you with this.

Please use the following document to solve the quality problem, you meet; Troubleshooting print quality problems.

The strip inside the printer should be removed if the installation guide you requested otherwise, it is part of the internal mechanics.

I'm not sure of the return policy where you bought the printer so I can not answer or not you can return the printer, but I can say that HP printers have a 1 year manufacturing warranty. If you're still having problems after following the steps outlined in the document, call HP. The number of call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for the Canada and the United States, or you can Contact HP worldwide.

I hope that this information solves your request.
