  When I try to activate your hard drive write cache, it does not work:
  I can check the box and press OK, but when I go back to the dialog box the box is unchecked.
  The event log shows a warning: "the driver disabled the write on the device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 cache.

  This slows down my laptop. I don't want to work without the write cache.
  What can I do?

  did restart you your machine after checking the box? Usually, you must first reboot the system when certain changes.

• write datalog does not accept registration

  I'm using LabVIEW 9.0 and producer/consumer architecture to generate and send an order of series, and then write a timestamp and a Boolean value in a file of datalog.  The included snippet of code indicates a problem that I have with my consumer loop where the Datalog VI writing gives a broken link when it is connected to the Dequeue item VI.  Context-sensitive help says "You have connected to a polymorphic terminal that does not accept this type of data."  But when I booted the Datalog, I bind the queue at the terminal 'type record' of the Datalog VI open/create/replace.  Any suggestions?

  In your frame of initialization, you set the data type to go in the newspaper to be a reference to queue file.  You need to connect to the real data type which is the consolidation of timestamp and boolean, similar to that used for the queue.  That's why you get the error as part of read data.  You try to write a cluster in the datalog service when it began to be a given queue reference type.

  

• LightScribe dvd writer/burner does not

  I have a PC HP Pavilion Media Center with windows 64 Bit the CDRom 8Pro OS, it works very well, but the dvd burner does not work. Massage appears asking me to put a cd in the unit, even if there is already in the drive.  Device Manager acknowledges the two discs and a convenience store can not detect potential failures. Information System also recognizes readers.  The names of drive information dvd writer the C:\windows\system32\drivers\cdrom.sys drive as my system is 64 bit, this could be the problem and if so, how do I fix it?

  Sorry, but the last I knew the Lightscribe technology was not Compatible with Windows 8.0/8.1. I don't know of anyone who has managed to get this working. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.

• Multi-state object does not work in the Office Viewer

  I have problems with a slideshow of image (multi-state object) in a manufactured magazine Adobe DPS.

  When looked at on ipad or android, everything works perfectly. But this does not at all on the Viewer from the office.

  is this a known bug?

  Is there a work around for the next issues?

  Myra,

  Office Viewer is old and it is really useful only for the most basic content preview. We have not updated the Viewer from office more than three years. I suggest to use the iPad or Android directly devices to get an overview of your work.

• Mu Qosmio G multi DVD drive does not burn anything

  My Matsu * a uj - 846 s doesn't seem to burn any cd or DVD at all.

  I think it may have started when I updated the firmware. game DVD's fine, but playing CDs already burned on the same drive seems to be a problem because it does not recognize the data written on the subject.
  Other external CD drives can read when connected to the laptop even.

  If someone had the same problem and especially someone can help with this problem?

  the problem is that one day I inserted my CD - RW in drive, launched Nero but failed to remove any previously saved data of him cause I couldn't push the button 'clean' (sorry, not sure he's called this version in English).

  In my computer, where all readers are collected, in the context menu for my drive I couldn't find option to erase the disk. In the properties of the label record disappered (label where I could mark the box: Alow CD recording).

  I also tried to burn many Cd - R with nero, I recorded using multisession with a small amount of data, but after this, I was not able to record something on their cause, they have all been closed and developed, too, I told nero ot not to develop.

  Maybe someone can help me, I don't want to reinstall windows.

  I think that this is not a drive problem but possible it s more a configuration issue between Nero and second burning software.

  I think on many laptops Toshiba sound recording has now been installed.
  This software can be used for disc erasing and finalization.

  Please check the application.
  I put t don't know if this helps but maybe when you remove the sound recording now Nero does not improve.

• TCP IP multi client connection does not work correctly

  My program is a software communication client server where data of a cDaq collector server sends data to the client, and the client sends the command to the server to run. The problem I've encountered is when I sedn a command to the server, it shows that the server is receiving but it it is not running properly. Please take a look and see where I was wrong.   What does "not execute properly" mean?  What is it to do or not to do, and what you expect it to do?

  I see a problem in the Subvi the TCP - IP protocol client.  Why are you enqueueing an element then immediately made it?  You go to the queue again after the end of the Subvi.  But you have a loop in parallel when remove you the element.  You have a race condition.  Two things can happen.

  1. data gets in queue and removed inside the Subvi.  When it ends, it gets queued again in the same queue.  Then the parallel loop might it dequeue and work with it.  I'm guessing that if this order of execution occurs, it probably behave correctly for you.

  GOLD.

  2. data gets queued inside the Subvi.  The parallel loop with the dequeue is sitting there waiting for something, removes the element and works with.  Then the dequeue inside the Subvi that's always waiting for an element in the queue who won't, because now you have locked the code.  The loop cannot iterate to get more and more data in the queue.

  You have a lot of strange queue operations past in this sub - VI and an another Subvi in the parallel loop.  Why you get another reference to the queue, rinsing, then release this reference to queue.  I won't even try to guess how that would complicate the 2 scenarios, I already listed above.

  I offer several examples of queue to understand how they work.  Any given queue must have 1 wait operation, otherwise remove it will run to steal the other's data.

  In fact get back us a reply of the dev team today.  The word is that it is a bug confirmed with Cineware.  The bug should be resolved with the next update to Cineware.  Unfortunately there is no current known solution for this in the current version of Cineware.

  Replication of DB1 to DB2 and allowing updates to local update on DB2 without their spread to DB1 is done with a WRITING of VIEWS MATERIALISEES, not the MultiMaster replication.
  Changes to DB2 are 'local', until they are crushed by a change of DB1.

• Save to PNG using IMAQ file write file does not save good Gray Scale

  Hi - I have a simple VI which reads a raw U16 file and then try to save the option IMAQ write PNG file (because I want the 16-bit format).

  I defined a custom color table which is just opposite of gray, and this is applied to the image.

  The Image displays properly, but saves the PNG file with non-inverted grayscale.

  U16 RAW file is titled "Martha 1849-02-001-6 - view0000_raw_grey_16bit.raw' and sent to ftp://ftp.ni.com/incoming. "

  How is it and how do we get this working correctly?

  No! your custom color table to display the images, not apply to the image.

  In additional, it cannot save the palette as well as the 16-bit image. The pallet can be stored with 8-bit 'indexed' image.

  What you can do - if you need just reverse gray, use IMAQ opposite to calculate the negative value of an image.

• Windows View customer-non-interactive flag does not work

  I use the windows 32 bit Horizon View Client (latest version) in a program to automatically connect to a virtual machine.  The '-not interactive "flag is supposed to remove the error messages, but not the session time-out error is deleted even when this flag is set.  The syntax I use is "wswc.exe - non-interactive - unattended - serverURLxxx.xxx.xxx username - password desktopName xxxxx-xxxxx - xxxxx".  Am I missing something?

  The official word from VMWare: "The - non-interactive option suppresses the error message boxes when starting the Client view and would not remove a mistake during a view as a session time-out error."

  I just installed an old game. FREELANCER wanted O play online with a friend. I bought 2 copies and we installed. to play online, the game gives an identification number. copy of my friend gave him a number. However, mine is not. our computers are very similar. I run as admin and xp compatible... any ideas?

• HP CD - DVD Writer 840b does not DVD-DVD is full, even using a new DVD blank, said.

  HP DVD Writer 840b won't recognize a DVD, but will write and read the CD OK.  When I try and load a DVD and check the properties, it shows that the DVD is full, even if you use a blank DVD known.  I use Windows XP Professional 2002 SP3

  It seems to me as your engraver of DVD 840 b is faulty even when the CD in reading and writing is OK. When the drive is under warranty, you can recover.

  Hi all

  We have HP 9470, 2170 and 8570 enrolled in our environment.

  All computers are installed with a standard image of Win7 and SSM of HP tool for installing drivers.

  It now turns out that none of them don't function with the key Win + Tab (switch between Windows Aero) combination.

  Also, we have several types of Dell laptops, all installed with the same image, but of course have Dell specific drivers installed. They all work with Win + Tab key.

  Everyone has experienced the same or have suggestion of solution?

  You are not able to use the Win + tab feature.

  1. Go to start
  2. Typeadvanced system settings
  3. Hit enter
  4. Click advanced
  5. Click setting under performance
  6. Scroll down and make sure tha t Activate the composition of the Bureauis checked 

  Also, you can hold the ALT key and press tab for the same affect.
