Multiple BC4J.Xcfg

I merged the two model project in a single project, everything is ok, now I have 04:00, 2 project one and two project, first 2 02:00 refer to another BC4J.xcfg and second 02:00 refer to other BC4J.xcfg, I could find no metadeta (xml) queue that specifies the location of the BC4J for AM? How AM knows what BC4J there look for?

Published by: 908398 on January 18, 2013 08:06

Location of bc4j.xcfg is compared with the corresponding AMs overall. In other words, ADF creates a file of bc4j.xcfg separate for each parcel containing AMs (for example if some AMs are in a single package, so they share the same bc4j.xcfg file). The corresponding bc4j.xcfg file is located in the package whose name consists of the name of the package in the AM with 'Common' appended to the end (for example, if your AM is located in the mypackage.ampackage, then the file bc4j.xcfg containing the configurations of this AM is located in the mypackage.am.commonpackage).

  • Bc4j.xcfg location

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0

    Hello

We have a simple adf application using the stack complete adf including ADFbc.

When you deploy the application to an ear, we noticed that the bc4j.xcfg file is located in

    Application.ear\ViewController_webapp.war\WEB-INF\classes\ch\mit\trac\model\modules\common\

    and in

    Aapplication.ear\trac_Model_adflibTrac.jar\ch\mit\trac\model\modules\common\

Is it "normal", if yes which is actually used by the application server?

    Thanks in advance

    Paul

Looks like you added the model project of library of the adf and dependent project. This then translates the duplication of the configuration file.

To answer you question, I dint know. The server uses that he meets for the first. Question is who it is. I don't know if it I would still be the same our if it differs on the way you access the application.

  • services/Common/bc4j.xcfg is not in the classpath

    Hello world

I have one request for the ADF which developed in Jdev 11 G release 2.
    I tried to run in my Jdev (Jdev 11 G release1 11.1.1.5.0).
There were a few errors on the imports so I imported the missing jar files and application got comipled successfully.
When I run the application, it shows me below error:

< Utils > < buildFacesMessage > ADF: addition of the following JSF error: Configuration file /com/sinter/gme/abc/services/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath.
oracle.jbo.ConfigException: Houston-33001: Configuration file /com/sinter/gme/abc/services/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath.

When I check this path in my sound project there until "/ com/mass obtained by sintering, gme, abc, services" and "/ common/bc4j.xcfg" is not there.
the same application works well at the server after deployment. but I need to change some things and redeploy, but it does not work as expected.

  • JDeveloper guard Viewcontroller creation... SRC/Model/Common/bc4j.xcfg

I migrated to JDev 11.1.2.1.0 and facing problems after migration.

One of them is this error during the compilation of the ViewController project:

Error: Several versions of model/common/bc4j.xcfg appear in your managed project classpath. Check dependencies associated with project: .../model/classes/ and .../ViewController/classes/

If I manually delete myApp/Viewcontroller/src/model/common/bc4j.xcfg, compilation complete but the file is automatically created again later.

I miss probably a simple detail but would like to have some ideas to get rid of.

    Thank you

    J. -.

    Try this.

    1. Select the template project and to call "Clean Model.jpr" (Menu-> Build-> own XXX). Do the same for the proposed notice.
2 remove all records of /classes/ projects of model and view
3 visit the project (under project-> libraries and classpath properties) dependencies and see if JDev wins a mistake here. Remove the incorrect dependency, as appropriate.
    4 rebuild all / run.

Were what version of JDev you earlier?

  • Oracle 11g save the BC4J password in the database?

In 10g, Oracle stores the password in the database encrypted in bc4j.xcfg.

However, 11 g, it seems that Oracle is not saving the password in any file (I checked connections.xml and bc4j.xcfg). Oracle records db password in database system?

I ask this question because we are going to deploy a Java ADF program on the production that I don't have access. I wonder if I need JDeveloper for access to the production environment to configure the credentials for the connection to BC4J in the database server.

  • A shared application module create a lot of locks

    Hello world

First of all, I don't know if I do use just to the SharedAM application level...

We put your static data, we also store the results of some described as "static" procedure stored in a hash table and a few general indicator Boolean. Sometimes return us a set of rows according to a criterion of view, once again, we are changing the data and return an array or a vector and some time, we return (or change) the local variables, like our flags and our HashMap. In most cases, access is done directly via a Java Bean.

When I have hundreds of users, I meet a lot of locks when I do this specific code

    DCDataControl dc = BindingContext.getCurrent().findDataControl(SHARED_LOOKUP_SERVICE_DATA_CONTROL);
    SharedLookupServiceImpl am = (SharedLookupServiceImpl)dc.getApplicationModule();

Thanks to all for your responses.

I finally found the problem in our SharedAM. It is because we have methods for translation, which called for the database and these methods have been very often called, and of course, they were not cached. So I fixed that by moving the database stored in non-sharedAM procedure call.

  • Application module runs does not after changing the jndi in the JDBC data source name

I had an obligation to deploy ADF application dev, test, and production. Every environments to different databases.

To reach the requirement above, we had suite
    (a) uncheck "Auto Generate and descriptors weblogic - jdbc.xml sync for the deployment" of the Application property.
    (b) defined a data source to wls console (console different wls for each env) to dev, test, and production with jndi, jdbc/dashboardDS.
    (c) on the module of the application, the connection type changed to "JDBC Data Source" and filled in "jdbc/dashboardDS" to the name of the data source.

Now, we are able to deploy our ADF application for dev, test, and production environments.

But, after doing some changes to the bc4j.xcfg file as in step c), I'm not able to run AM. AM is running in an error message.

  • JDev 11.1.2 Config Editor - cannot set Lock Mode

Anyone know the secret (other than to edit the source code)?

The bc4j.xcfg Editor/Property Inspector shows "Lock Mode" as one (the only) disabled field. Change the default value to "pessimist" is possible by changing the source of the following:

    < database Houston. TypeMapEntries = jbo.locking.mode="optimistic"/ "OracleApps" >

After that, the field in the property inspector is always off. Maybe a feature?

    Thank you
    Peter

Change the mode of locking in 11.1.2 has changed a bit. First a note: the old configuration dialog box can be reached if you open the module of the application, select the 'Configuration' tab in the dialog box, select the configuration you want to change.
However you cannot change the lock mode in this dialog box as this has been moved in the config.xml file - adfc. When you open the configuration dialog box and click on the "jbo.locking.mode" you shuold see Help message reported.
So, open the adfc - config.xml and in the editor of this file properties, you can change the locking mode tab "Business Components.
