Multiple calculation Manager groups

Hello

I am trying to do the same calculation in several groups, which share the same channel name know

  • Group1

    • A

    • B

    • C

  • Group2

    • A

    • B

    • C

...

  • Group

    • A

    • B

    • C

The calculation will be the result = A * B + C for example. So far, I have created a calculation script using the calculation for groups 1 Manager, and I also played with wildcards, but don't get 1 result. I would like to know if there is a way using the calculation with wildcards Manager to perform this calculation for all the available groups and store the channel ('result') result in each group

  • Group1

    • A

    • B

    • C

    • Result

  • Group2

    • A

    • B

    • C

    • Result

...

  • Group

    • A

    • B

    • C

    • Result

Thank you very much

Hi Plinio

Thank you for your response.

I actually thought about it without the script. To perform the calculation in all groups (or more) in the data portal, you just use the @@CCR @ current number of cycles. So, for example, you must create two entries and name them A, B, and C, select the channel as a data type and put [@@CCR @] / "ChannelName", as is shown in the figure. Then you go to the party expanded and developed in the field of cycles the number of groups you want to deal with, in this case, each of them (you put GroupCount).

And that's all

Give it a try

See you soon

  • Constants in the calculation Manager

Hello, is there a way of constant output in calculation Manager?  I tried to generate a value, but I get an error (object required: 'CurrCalculationValues').

Specifically, I want the molecular weight of carbon output.  Since it is a constant 12,011 g/mol, that I do not see how to set the value to use in other calculations.  I don't want to enter the constant in each calculation that uses it as an input, I prefer to use the dependency.  (There are other constants which are a little more complicated than this one).

I guess I can sum up my question like: "How you use constant OUTPUT calculations as INPUTS to other calculations channel."

    Hi Russell,

I recommend that you export each constant to a property attached to the root level, group or channel (depending on which is most appropriate based on the scope of the constant).  Then, you can reference this property as an input in the subsequent calculations.

  • The value of path as unit target in the calculation Manager

    Hello

is there a way to define a course of treatment as unit target in the calculation Manager? I have data with unspecified units (for example, deg_Cel ° C) then I disabled the calculation of the amount in function. Now I want the result channel have the same unit as the first input channel (something like @@ChnUnit (N) @).

    Best regards

    Martin

    Hi Martin,

You can launch the Manager of calculation without management unit (turn based on the amount off the coast).  You can set the property unit of the resulting string with ChnDim() to be of the same unit as the starting channel.  I guess you do all that with a VBScript.  You actually run the Manager calculation by hand with the mouse?

You can add as many lines of VBScript code that you want at the end of the normal equation.  Here is an example of calculation which comes with tiara:

    P = n * (2 * Pi / 60) * M * (1 / 1000)

If you click the button, you can add the following line of VBScript call second to run the equation:

    Calculate the call ("P = n * (2 * Pi/60) * M * (1 / 1000)", CurrSymbols, CurrValues, "kW")
    ChnDim (P) = ChnDim (n)

I think this changed when I started using my iphone and sync-ed were contact (I'm sure that's not a Word) with the iphone.  But it could just be a coincidence.

There should be an option on "customize this folder".  Click on that and then you can change customization of Contacts.

I tried looking for that but the locations do not match:

Location of the log of the calculation Manager?

    File vacuum calcmgrlaunch.log

Note, I'm trying this for a HBR Essbase not planning.

I don't know there's an equivalent for essbase, rules are executed directly on essbase, so probably the essbase application log

  • Calculation Manager does not start after the 11.1.2.3.500 patch

    Hi all

Before the upgrade with the patch 500 the EPM environment worked very well.

After you apply the hotfix (17529887) and later (19142919), I am facing a strange error.

After restarting the services, Manager of calculation does not work. All other components of EPMA operate correctly.

When trying to start the calculation Manager, the window becomes like a Web page when there is no internet connection. Internal error in the server with instructions to check your internet connection, etc..

I looked in several log files, but did not find anything.

    Where to look?

    Kind regards

  • Automate the calculation against Essbase ASO through the calculation Manager

    Hi all

Anyone know if I can automate the calculation stored in calculation on a cube Essbase ASO Manager?

I need calculation automated directly against an Essbase cube as it is not a planning application.

I tried to use CalcMgrCmdLineLauncher.cmd , but it seems not to be able to find the application. I'm assuming that she tries to locate a planning instead of an application of Essbase application.

Currently I have a number of calculation parameters in the calculation Manager but I would like to automate the process, as well as on a daily basis, the cube is rebuild and recalculated.

Any ideas if CalcMgrCmdLineLauncher.cmd should work or if there is another method, in addition to my calculations in MaxL.

    Thank you

    Jimmy

What version? If it's so 11.1.2.3 for Essbase you use a launcher separated in % EPM_ORACLE_HOME%\common\calcmgr\11.1.2.0\lib, calcmgrCmdLine.jar file if it is an earlier version and then probably will need to use MaxL

    In fact

I just re thinking about your message. My comments above is not correct for your situation. The syntax above is correct if you are talking about the code 'in' the model itself (so if you open the template and look at the code). But if the code you have posted in your messages made from the window of script of the rule (in script view) then your problem is something different potentially.

So the first thing is to make sure that in the model itself (open model), the PDT is defined in the global range or range of Member as [Parm1], [Parm2] etc. (or difficulty, depends on the way the model is shown) as I said in my first reply above, the model only defines the DTP, not members and must be placed between square brackets , as [Parm1}. Who will make that the DTP as defined in your model correctly. Then we need to look at how you define these PDT in the rule itself. Normally, it is much easier if your rule is in the chart view, as you just click on the model and you can enter the values. As you have your rule in Script mode, you must be very careful about how you set the values of the PAO. Every DTP 'type' has a different syntax in script mode.

Looking at your script again I see another problem potentially. When you set the values in the DTP, the value must locking with double brackets, so [['three year Budget"]]. In your script, you must also in brackets. That is not always correct. There are moments between brackets and double square brackets is correct, but it is only when your DTP is of type 'Members', and by default, according to me, old macros of business rule translates into templates with the "Script" DTP types

So, if you also change your business section where the models are defined as below; (as you can see, without parentheses around the DTP values).

    UPDATECALC OFF SET; AGGMISSG OFF SET;

    Model % (name: = "FCOm_TargetSection", application: = 'FCO', plantype: = 'FCO', dtps:=("parm1":=[["Three_Year_Budget"]],"parm2":=[["DGAllocation"]],"parm3":=[[{FCOrtpYears}]],"parm4":=[[Mar]]))))

    Model % (name: = "FCOm_TargetAgg", application: = 'FCO', plantype: = 'FCO', dtps:=("parm1":=[["Three_Year_Budget"]],"parm2":=[["DGAllocation"]],"parm3":=[[{FCOrtpYears}]],"parm4":=[[Mar]]))))

The end of the game should be that when you open your rule and the view script and script tab then select low bottom your models should look as below, as you can see, everything that needs to be included in the script are the values substituted for the definition of the model, the key point is that there are no brackets or parentheses. The script should show script "pure". (I have highlighted and underlined how these 4 PDT should result in script mode)

    First model:

    UPDATECALC OFF SET; AGGMISSG OFF SET;

  • Security roles and workflow management groups

    People,

There is a section on Workflow management groups and security roles in vCloud Request Manager Installation and Configuration Guide - Guide of Directors Chapter 5 and 6. I have difficulty working on the relationship between the two settings.

My first question is around the goal of the WM default checkbox that the specific guide is used to set the default user workflow management group.

What would a never used default WM? I mean, what would he ever substitute the other workflow management groups that you define.

In addition, in the guide, it say cloud Blueprint Admin and Asset Manager security role is a combination of the Admin of Blueprint of cloud and the Asset Manager. Is cloud Blueprint Admin & Asset Manager being the two groups of workflow management, reasonable to assume that a security role is composed of workflow management groups?

And when I select agent, I do not see a cloud Blueprint Admin and Asset Manager security role listed?

Finally, is there a way to determine the exact permissions that contains a workflow management group/security role?

    Thank you

    Cormac

The Group Management (WM) default workflow is largely an artifact of vSM based vRM.

VSM, a group of WM is a collection of agents used to apply security and route of tasks, among other responsibilities. (For the purpose of vRM, an agent can defined as users who have access to the vRM admin interface).

vRM mainly use WM groups as a way to deliver relevant communications to users based on their responsibilities for example vCD Admins, Asset Managers etc. vRM does not require other functions related to WM groups.

For functional reasons, vSM requires that each officer with access to the capabilities of WM belong at least a WM group. In addition, at least one of these groups must be designated the default WM for this officer group. These functional reasons are not immediately relevant to the specific use of vRM rest however case the constraint. Suffice to say for vRM, every WM user must have a WM group by default even if this information must never be used.

Roles and groups are separate entities. A role defines a set of privileges to access a particular functional area of the admin interface for example a role WM sets permissions to interact with the workflow. of the roles of management (CM) configuration sets permissions to review and modify records in the repository of vRM.

A special role of WM can be associated with one or more groups WM. When this WM role is assigned to a user, that user inherits groups associated with this role, WM allowing to simplify the administration of groups. An individual user can also have other WM assigned groups to them directly, complementary to those inherited from their role of WM.

At an abstract level, vRM defines three types of users of the admin interface:

    1 vCD Admins

    2. plan Admins

    3. managers

However, the security of MSM model requires that each individual user must be implemented with several components. By default, vRM sets a "Asset Managers" WM Group of what assets all managers must belong. However, WM groups cannot be used to give access to the features as well, so a separate from the "Asset Managers" WM role is obliged to grant access to these features asset managers. By default, the role of "Asset Manager" WM is associated with the "Asset Managers" group such that any user who is assigned the role automatically belongs to the Group also. There is also a separate 'Asset Managers' CM role that gives asset managers they need to the repository vRM for example the possibility to add new licenses for software products.

This model of definitions is repeated for 3 personas above with a group and several roles defined for each. When an administrator assigns a user to one of these characters they should assign the groups and roles appropriate according to the documentation. They should not need to be concerned by the distinctions between each component.

The role of the "Plan Director Admin and Asset Manager" reflects that a user may need to be asset manager and a Director of Blueprint. Because a user can have a role to the maximum by functional area, vRM provides a compound that provides two sets of permissions. However, a user can belong to several groups WM, so it is never necessary to provide a composite group.

The role of composite is there; just maybe not where you expect to find. Blueprint Admins do not need to access WM, so there is not a 'Blueprint' Admin or a composite WM role. Blueprint Admins do need access to configuration management so it's an "Admin blueprint" and a role of CM composite.

The details of the user screen provides:

    • a summary of all groups to which a user belongs

    • provides a 'Détails' button to drill down on each role assigned to the user to inspect the permissions granted by this particular role

You must be a vCD Admin to see areas of the screen.

    Hello

The person above didn't say that [[Smartlist.value]] returns a Boolean value, so you still have a Boolean value in your IF condition.

    Use

    IF ("Eligible Grade" == [[XXGradeEligibility._1_2]])

    instead.

    Thank you
