multiple processes on unix Server replicate judgment, is that block the port?

I have configured on the source server Oracle goldengate Manager/snippet on port 7809 and even configured on the server target with port 7809.

Now, this weekend, I met two problems.
(1) tcp ip timeout of error log extract and extract abend.
test: telnet linuxserver 7809
$ telnet linuxserver 7809
By train...
Connected to linuxserver.
[Escape character is ' ^]'.
The connection is closed.

It is connected, then after a second, closed connection.

(2) on the target server, there are several processes for replicat existed even I arrested replicat and stopped Manager. There is nothing running.

I have to manually kill these processes by kill-9 on the server.

How to control this way?

Thank you.

I have another question, in the migration of the real life, our data base have a lot of CLOB datatype and logsegments, etc. What is the best practice or advice you can give me?

I'm probably not the best guy to answer this question.

Can I create several extracts on source and several replicat on source?

Yes.

Let's say we have 10 users of the application in the prod database, do at least excerpts for each schema? then within each schema, I create several snippets based on the type of data or others?

Yes. You can create a group of extract/replicate by schema. This would help in parallelizing things.

    Of course, it is possible.  According to what the text file looks like to, you can create an external table that treats the text file as if it were a table.  Otherwise, you can always read the file in PL/SQL, using the utl_file package and INSERT of PL/SQL commands.

    You have problems whatever you wantt?  If so, your zip code and explain what the problem is.

    Whenever you have any questions, please post a small example of data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements) for all of the tables involved and the exact results you want from these data, so that people who want to help you can recreate the problem and test their ideas.  In this case, also post a small sample of the text involved file.

    If you ask about a DML operation, such as INSERT, then INSERT statements, you post should show what looks like the tables before the DML, and the results will be the content of the table changed after the DML.

    Explain, using specific examples, how you get these results from these data.

    Always say what version of Oracle you are using (for example, 11.2.0.2.0).

  • How to use multiple cameras in same model for mirror (if that's the only way)

    Hi all

    I am creating a shot where the camera pans on a range of objects on the table which is a mirror. Now, I want the reflection in the mirror to move when the camera moves just like in real life. But I can't understand how do. a technique that I've imagined is to create another device and place it on the surface of the mirror and then have somehow connected to the main camera so that it records the image while moving the way ray of light will react on the main camera. later, I can make that camera mirror to place videos in the model so that it looks like a reflection on the other hand. But then again, I don't know how to establish that, as I don't know how I can connect a camera with the main camera that also reacts to the movements of the cam as a reflection of the light. Is there any expression for her? Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Here is a version of CS6 project: reflections (CS6) .aep

    It's corrected workflow

    • In the model of the hand, make sure that the mirror of anchor point is in the center of the layer and the scale is 100%
    • In the project Panel duplicate the model containing the 3D scene
    • Rename duplicate reflection
    • Open the model of reflection for editing
    • Here is where the fun begins. Select the lights and the 3D layers and their parent to the mirror
    • Make sure that Local axis mode is selected in the toolbar
    • Select the rotation tool and make sure that it is set on the direction
    • Move the cursor on the y-axis of the mirror, hold down the SHIFT key, and rotate the x 90 ° mirror (should be the 4th snap)
    • Select the scale property of the mirror layer by pressing the s key
    • Disable the locking of the scale, then set it to x-100% scale
    • This should reverse the lights around
    • Divide the timelines and reveal the position of the cameras properties
    • Add an expression to the camera position of thinking Comp by Alt/Option click on the stopwatch, and then drag the pickwhip to the model of the camera hand Position
    • Nest the Comp "reflection" in the original model and condense the transformations
    • Make a duplicate of the mirror layer and use it as a track matte for the model of reflection
    • Set the properties of the layer of mirror to get the final look wanted by using as an adjustment layer or change the material options or specular blend modes to pick up

    That should do it.

  • The view connection server connection failure - and that's it.

    Hi all

    I use a box of 10 Windows with Horizon View Client 5.4.1. Our connections are enabled smart cards. When I run the view of the Horizon, I get the login server and hit connect. I am asked to choose a certificate; I choose the right pair, enter my PIN and then get an error message saying "connection to the view connection server failed." And that's the entire message. When I choose the right certificate, get "the connection to the view connection server is not. " No user could not be found for your certificate." That tells me that it's to reach the server, but without more info, I can not find the problem.

    I opened a session with a view to the Horizon with other machines and can I use my chip card with other sites on this computer. There are ports should I open to view Horizon? What else can I try?

    I started poking around outside the view of the Horizon and found the problem, I'll leave it here in case anyone else has this problem. I had to go to Internet Options-> content in-> certificates-> Select Certificate-> advanced and enable authentication of the Client.

  • Load the XML data to the UNIX server directly to Tables of database relational

    Is there a way I can load some data from an XML file in the Oracle Tables, without going through the input file XML in a directory of the Oracle server. My XML file resides on the UNIX application server. And I need to load the data directly into database tables. Without load them into the database directory.

    Also, I'm looking for a solution that would not load my database much and affect other processes running. Can be done using SQL Loader?

    Oracle database version: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production

    Thanks for the companions of answers!

    There I helped to learn a lot of options.

    But the easiest using UNIX server that worked for me was to use an XSLT transformation to convert the XML file to a delimited file. (Load the unix server, save the Oracle resources).

    UNIX 'xsltproc' feature was not a bad option.

    Then use SQL Loader to load into tables.

  • Transfer files from UNIX server to the Windows server access path

    Hello Experts, (Gud Gud same backward and Gud Mor)

    Is there a way to transfer files from UNIX (Oracle database) server, to Windows server? AFAIK if path of Windows. I am able to read the file because it is on the server, but it does not recognize the Windows directory at all.

    If you can share documents around this study, I will be grateful.

    Kind regards

    You can download this PL/SQL package to FTP in PL/SQL. It is old, but still needs to do the job. Do not forget that in 11g, an ACL must be created to allow the code to access the network.

    An alternative is to a Unix script ftp script and run (as an external process) using DBMS_SCHEDULER.

    We shouldn't just work the PROCESS parameter for the maximum number of BONES.

    More processes that you have, more will consume PGA the oracle Instance, i.e. more memory will be used on your server.

    You should check v$ resource_limit see if it really reached setting TREATY limits, if yes increase the parameter appropriately so that the high tide of use remains about 80% of the value of the parameter. Check if the number of sessions dedicated process is really necessary, otherwise you can consider the use of database resident connection pooling or a shared server or tuning configuration opening less sessions on the database.

    Depending on how much you increase, take a look at the view of PGA advice after a workload of the cycle of V$ PGA_TARGET_ADVICE and V$ MEMORY_TARGET_ADVICE.

    You can find details of service name in file names tns instead of unix. If you are not able to find and then type cd $TNS_ADMIN at the prompt of unix command, then ls - lrt tnsnames.ora

  • How can I index PDF files that reside on a Unix server?

    I was amazed the week last to discover that our Web site does not support PDF research opportunities. Apparently, we're going to get it soon. But when that day comes, I think we need to index our PDFs. I know I can do it for a Windows Server. But, how can I do to a Unix server?

    Thank you

    Peter

    No, not at all. "Indexing" is a stange inconsistent term used for this connection. I guess you really want is a search engine that includes PDF as HTML content. The term 'indexing' might mean 'account with all the text in a file and the addition of words available for research.

    Acrobat uses "Indexing" to mean precisely creating a set of files used by Acrobat itself to find several PDF files. But it is a thing of local file, not a web thing. In this way the indexing of PDF files must be used on the web is bad, but also not good.

    There are two main approaches to web search engines.

    1 premises. Software runs on the local computer and can read the files on the web site. In fact a kind of file, may be called an index. Local software on the web server uses this information to display that you lead.

    2 remote connection. Google is a prime example of this. Visits of the websites ("spiders") to play the files, made his own 'index' and the research on the sites.

    Google (and other search engines) are often seen only as a means of the world wide web to research. But they can be used to search for single servers in their list of everyone, as in https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=indexing+Pdfs+site%3Aadobe.com

    An interesting variation of what was for sale a few years ago, is the "google appliance" for use on private networks (intranets). He was sitting on the local network and done things like google but only with the local network. Then, there was a 'local google' for all local machines.

    One last thing: your customers are not likely to find satisfying if she must search for PDF files and the HTML format of research with a different engine.

  • access to / Apex unix Server pdf files download

    Hello
    I am struck with another big challenge here. There's a system that creates tons of PDF files on the oracle UNIX server, then these files are loaded into oracle as a data blob table. Now the Apex ive page which provides links to these pdf reports and allow users to download and save locally in their systems.
    Now, my biggest problem is that when the files are created in the directory of the UNIX server that is mapped to the oracle directory object when you open these files/download of Apex they are corrupt and cannot be read. Is there a way pdf files can be directly loaded into oracle as BLOB table without using the oracle directory object... any suggestion/solution to this problem please?
    Oracle 11g & Apex 4.1.1x

    This approach is going to be good in this scenario but look at this simple code under iam having error (no data found) with get_pdf(), but I know a file is created and can be stored in the directory, what could be the problem here in this small code?

    create/replace the Create_pdf procedure
    as
    pdf_files blob.
    Start
    pdf_writer.init;
    pdf_writer. Write ("test report '");
    pdf_writer.save_pdf;
    pdf_files: = pdf_writer.get_pdf;<=====no data="">
    Insert a blob into table
    end;

    When you use get_pdf, you must also call to save_pdf. Simply remove this line and it should work:

    procedure create_pdf
    as
      pdf_files blob;
    begin
       pdf_writer.init;
       pdf_writer.write('test Report');
       pdf_files := pdf_writer.get_pdf;
       //insert blob into table
    end;
