  Thank you for your query.

  I regret to inform you that you can not enable both options.  You will need to choose one or the other function that is most important.

  The Beats audio panel doesn't have an option to control two different audio sources.

  CUCM 10.5 (2) is needed to support the multistreaming. See the Téléprésence Server 4.1 Release Notes for the other requirements.

  Classic is when you plug the headphones into the sound come from the headphons only.

  Multistreaming sound will come as well by the speakers, headphones and laptop.

  found the problem. In the Smart audio settings, the "tab" speaker has an option for multi flow or classic flow. The multistream in his description seems to have its independent in the speakers and headphones. Also it messes up the microphone, perhaps the combination of the two (internal and external)?

• T440 - Sound does not switch between the internal speakers and headphones listening or return

  Let me first explain how I assumed that the switch between headset and speakers should work:
  I turn on the music or anything else and if no headphones are connected, all sound from the internal speakers. Now if I plug headphones then sound comes exclusively from the helmet. If I go out then again the sound comes from the speakers and so on.

  In my case, the situation is the following:
  If I have no headset connected and turn on the music, then I heard if via the speakers. If I decide to continue to listen to this music through a headphone and plug them in, then the music continues to come from the speakers, but for example, the outlook notification sound is delivered in the headphones. It works vice versa.
  If I open, say youtube for a video, while having the headphone is plugged, I hear the sound through them. If I now unplugg, them, the speakers will remain silent.

  What can I do that if there is no external speakers connected (helmet, etc.) all sound will be played through the internal speakers, if I plug in a kind of external speaker, it's their part and if I unplugg it it switches back on the internal speakers?

  Look in Control Panel audio Realtek. It should be an option multistreaming, make sure it is set to unify all devices.

• disassembly of armrest X120e

  Hi - I can't find out how the armrest of my x120e (top). I followed the instructions on how to remove everything up to the keyboard, but the arm seems almost impossible to remove them without damaging them.

  If anyone has succeeded (or failed) to remove it please drop me a line... basically my goal is to unplug physically or to turn off the speakers, and the only way to get to the top of the motherboard is by removing the armrest.

  Launch SmartAUDIO, look for Classic/Multistream and choose Multistream. This is the speaker and headphones separately for Windows. Go to the sound control panel, choose headset as default and stakeholders for mute.

  You should probably reboot to ensure all your programs to recognize the new settings of the sound.

• Dell U2414Hb with Microsoft surface book and the docking station works do not reliably

  I recently bought two monitors Dell U2414H to work with my book surface and surface dock. The monitors to work reliably for a while (sometimes up to 3 or 4 hours) then suddenly one or two will be turned off and the display will switch to the surface for a second book or two and then return to the monitors. Sometimes, the system can go through a unstable stage of switching between monitors and books surface exposure 30 times or more within a period of 5 minutes.

  * When the Surface book is anchored and double are connected using DisplayPort multistreaming (daisy chain), one or two screens will not be recognized after restart or power cycling the book surface. In both cases, the resulting no video appearing on external displays.
  * Some displays will expose rip video on the secondary display, what installation using DisplayPort multistreaming (daisy chain).
  * A view not to return to video mode displayed after recovering from power save mode.

  Workaround short term =
  Surface CDM Dock on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #1 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor
  Surface book CDM on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #2 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor

  Long term = solution
  We still see a lot of questions with our instructors and Surface products. Microsoft is supposed to work on a special connector dongle that enhances the process of link training to increase the power of the signal has negotiated with external monitors. As to when this will be available, which is unknown by Dell.

• U2414H - problem with Surface Pro 3

The user wants to add a third U2414H, but we could never that daisy chain on the other.  The user has added a diamond USB adapter which used DisplayLink and we had three monitors working.  Now, this week he came in and one of the monitors connected DisplayPort adapter does not work.  All three are U2414H and we exchanged out them with other U2414H monitors we have in our office to try to make them work.  Are there rules that we must follow to prevent them to stop constantly working with the surface?  Is this a problem of windows 8?  Thank you.

  Long term = solution
  Microsoft is aware of the issue with their dock. They are developing a dongle special connector to the dock that works with the process of formation of link to boost the signal strength has negotiated with external monitors. As to when this will be available in September. Note the dongle won't be available in stores. You should open a case with Microsoft and show them that the problem occurs when you connect directly to the dock AMD and using double monitors in a DP 1.2 Garland of STD. They will then send you the dongle. I've heard other customers of this front line support Microsoft has not yet heard this dongle. Then wait until September to contact them.

  When video Jabber tries to get provisioning configuration, VCS provisioning will choose the 'Public' values in the configuration directory if provisioning subscribe was sent from the video Jabber client using the address defined in the external 'VCS' address field on the Jabber client video.

• Custom multi TP call via a screen layout

  First of all, I'd like apologize if my query was answered before, I tried to get a similar scenario, but nothing helps.

  We have an inplace SX80 running TC 6.3.3 hooked up to a projector on 'a' screen. As you know, once we're on a telepresence call with there will be two windows split the screen. Now the question we have is when many participants join the call, the telepresence window remains the same new addition to the appellants of this window, resulting in two small windows of telepresence in the single window. Subsiqnectley that the more people join more the window is.

  The ideal scenario we are looking for, is the presentation in the middle and have participants fill around the screen (a bit like the old T3 calls).

  First of all, the SX80 came out with TC7.1, you sure have a SX80 or the correct version of software?

  CE8 with multistreaming would be a good option, but the Conference will then be hosted on a telepresence server and will need you either CUCM or VCS, you can learn more on this subject in the Téléprésence Server 4.1 Release Notes.

  If the upgrade of this software is not an option, you can use the feature video TC Console to change the patterns seen on your SX80 composer.  The only drawback to the use of TC Console you then must stay on TC software because the composer video function is removed in the CE software.
