  • Using Windows Vista and Windows Media Player with Sanyo R227 Internet Radio

I just bought a Sanyo R227 Internet Radio wireless.  He has no problem using my home network wireless and find the Internet gateway and play Internet radio stations.

However, it also has the ability to access and attendance of the media playing on shared Music folders.   The installation instructions are very simple, but again, I have to be able to connect.  (Someone else I know has no problem with XP).  Read the fine print, Sanyo said it is checked with Windows 2000 and Windows XP, but there is no mention of Vista.  When I emailed them, they said that they did not support Vista.  However, I found a few articles to say that they tested it with Vista, just no mention of what they did to make it work.  I don't know that Sanyo is not interested in checking out Vista, because Windows 7 is now available.

I have a Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2 and Windows Media Player Version 11.  Also, I have Symmatic installed Smart Firewall (Norton) and enabled Windows Media Player and Windows Media Player network sharing service. I got Symmatic take possession of my PC and make sure these settings are correct.

I turned on the multimedia file sharing, file sharing and network discovery.  Because my PC is to use the Norton Firewall, Windows Firewall is disabled.  The network type is Public.  Privacy requires the Windows Firewall, which confuses the Norton Firewall.

When I scan to PC on the webradio of Sanyo R227, he never finds my laptop.  I'll try to turn off the Norton Firewall and see what happens, but I don't think that's the problem.

Anyone out there have experience with this device, media player and Vista?

Turn off the Norton Firewall and it worked.  Now I have to talk to Symantec and find a way to make it work with the firewall turned on.

    Hello texanbelle,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum.

I am including instructions below a scan to help repair the system files related to some components of Windows, including Windows Media Center, and Windows Media Player.

Repair Windows Vista Media Center files

You can use the following steps to repair files that are part of Windows Vista Media Center:

    1. click on the Start menu, choose all programs, then Accessories, then right-click on the item to the command prompt and select run as administrator

    2. click on continue to allow it to open a prompt with administrator privileges

    3. run this command in the cmd prompt: sfc/scannow

    4. the cmd prompt should list text stating "start system analysis. This process will take time. »

    5. wait for the scan to complete (this may take several minutes, so be patient).  This command will scan all protected system files and attempt to replace the incorrect versions by appropriate Microsoft versions

    6. once the analysis is complete, the SFC tool will indicate whether or not it found no problems and whether or not he was able to correct

    7. If any errors are reported that SFC could not resolve, there are steps in this knowledge base article which explain how to locate and attempt to correct errors

    8. after fixing errors that are found, try to use Windows Vista Media Center again.

Fix Windows Vista Media Center registry entries

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to fix key/registry values that are installed by Windows Vista, as there are files.  If you want to try to repair the registry values/keys that are part of Windows Vista Media Center, you will need to re-run the installer of Windows Vista operating system and repair the operating system.

Try this and tell us if it helps with your question.

  • I'm reading a file mpeg and Windows Media Player C00D1199 error. How to get good download of the missing codec?

I'm reading a file mpeg and Windows Media Player C00D1199 error.  How to get good download of the missing codec?  I have windows 7 x 64 os.

    All is not lost.

Download and install a pack of codecs, such as K-Lite (Google for it). You can find THAT WMP can then read the file.

    Or
Download and install a small program called Gspot (Google it)! Drag and drop in its window one of the files, you can't plzy. It will tell you which codecs are used. You can then download and install the only after doing a search on the web for it.
    See you soon,.

  • Music in Spotify, iTunes and Windows Media Player

Well, I tried to use my programs of music on my computer for about a week and a half now, and that they won't play all my music. Not at all.  I went to support these programs, but they did not really help. I also checked to see if any of them were incompatible with my computer, which iTunes was the only one, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the version 64-bit for Windows 8 and still nothing.

I don't know if it's the sound of my computer, which I don't think it is, because it works for everything else except these three programs. And I have no idea why, and frankly, it's getting boring. I also checked my device manager and my sound system and everything is working properly.

Anyone who can help and give me some answers on this as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated!

  • Unable to sync music using Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player will not open

Media Center will not sync music!

I recently opened Media Center and I had no music in the library. I have constantly played music from the library so I didn't know what is happening. When I try installing the library again once it tells me that a necessary component for Windows Media Center is not available. I have not changed or downloaded something different. I went to check if Windows media Player is the multimedia file sharing. The message I get from that is, basically, that something is missing.  Now my Windows Media Player is not even opened. I wonder if my Zune Player (80 GB) has nothing to do with the problem. I charge my player when this has happened, but I do this all the time so I am at a loss. I went to the page "problem reports and Solution." It is the symbol of the Media Center window and says that the problem is caused by Windows. The solution is to update to windows; which I am fully updated. I tried to restore the system to an earlier date, but that doesn't work anymore. I'm at a loss to know what being of any help would be appreciated.

As a side note video playback, TV and photos also works very well in Media Center.

    Thank you

    Shay

    Thank you, Shay

    Hi Shay,

You can try the following steps and check the result:

Step 1: Run the sfc scan to repair system files missing and corrupt.

    a. Click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    b. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

For more information, visit this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

If the problem persists, try the reconstruction of the library:

Step 2: Library rebuild Windows media player.

This problem can also occur if the library is corrupted. Rebuild the library and check if this solves the problem.

    Follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

    3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

    3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

You can also view the following green button and check if it helps:

  • Windows 8 Xbox and Windows Media Player music app

I think it happened when I upgraded to Windows 7 to 8.  Some of my old purchased music appears in the music app Xbox but can only be streamed. How can I get that back in Windows Media Player if I can do things with him (i.e. sync on my phone)?

    Hello

To regain the rights to the files, contact the provider of the files. Some online stores offer this and likely to call it activation of the computer, computer authorization, library restoration, synchronization license or something similar.

How to restore your digital rights varies from one store to the other. A store might limit the number of times that you can restore your rights, or it can limit the number of computers on which you can use the songs or videos that you got on their part. Some stores allow to restore the rights on all protected files.

For more information on the store's policies, refer to support customer or the info on the help of your store. If you got your music or videos in a store that is no longer in business, you will not be able to restore your rights in this content.

    It will be useful.

  • color of Windows media player problem

The Windows Media Player framework (including the toolbar) changed to dark red color (have not changed the parameters myself) on my desktop (blackish slept on my laptop). and the "color picker" under "improvements" simply does not (it does on my laptop). I've uninstalled and reinstalled WMP without result. Suggestions, please

I found this solution on an Avast forum (seems as if some Avast users have this problem) and it worked for me.

Open the dialog box run (twice) and then paste into the pressing next OK after every time:

    regsvr32 jscript.dll

    regsvr32 vbscript.dll

I did a registry backup first - just in case - but now my WMP is back to normal (black)

  • transfer music downloaded to Windows Media Player

I have Windows Media Player version 11.0.6002.18311 which I use to rip and burn music especially. When I download music, it usually goes in my folder of music on the hard disk and eventually finds his way in the WMP library. Sometimes I physically open it to give him a bit of a kick of thumb. But recently I downloaded an Album and tried to burn it with WMP, which can be fickle in the best of cases, and accidentally deleted in the process. After extraction and replacement of files in my music from the trash folder I can still play them on my computer through WMP, but I can't get back them in the library for some reason any. Can you please help.

Hi, I'm not trying to be difficult, but in my version of WMC, there is no option advanced under Tools, which in itself is already quite difficult to find, and I couldn't locate a topic "Organize" or whatever it is on the management of libraries, sorry.

You cannot view, add, or delete items in the library of Windows Media Player 11

  • I have about 4500 titles on an external memory that I play in my laptop and Windows Media Player. Towards the end of the reading of a beach, she starts to jump every time.

Need help with windows media player. I have about 4500 titles on an external memory that I play via my portable media player and windows. Which is annoying, when he's near the end of a track that plays it skips and jumps. It does on all of the tracks I have on it and on exactly the same point to the end. Now, I know that's not the tracks they play all very well through any other media player. • How can I access my music files through Windows Media Player?

    OK, here's the facts:
    I have Windows Vista.
Most of my music in my music is missing.
I can view and listen to the music of "missing" in Windows Media Player (library).
In Windows Media player, if I click on a song and 'open file location' need me for my music, and the file is not there.
Looking for songs via the start menu or through my computer does not work.
MP3 audio files are also missing.

Not having access to the original files, I can't add music files individually to my mp3 (Windows Media Player lets you synchronize files only, and I don't want to lose a part of the 'missing' files I have on my mp3 using the Sync feature).

How can I access my music? Clearly, it is still on my computer somewhere since I can play through Windows Media Player.

    Hello

Step 1: Check what all records are controlled by the player. Then check these records, if the music file is present.

Step 2: View the folder hid
