Mute button controls or volume

Is there a way I can let the player adjust the overall volume of the reading of the iPad or mute the sound within the DPS.

Most of the pages in my publication have audio narration and they play on the loading of the page by default, but I want to give the reader a fair chance click on a button and turn off everything and read.

Thanks in advance

This has been answered here: Master Volume Control / Mute button that controls the audio files on the entire Folio?. As this thread is three years old, I'm locking further comment.

  • Problems with the buttons that control the volume

    Hello everyone I hope you can help me. I had to reinstall the system on my laptop, everything is ok except for a problem, the software that controls the volume buttons are not displayed. If the work on screen, but I can't see if the volume or bass.
    Could you tell me what might happen. Thanks and forgive the inconvenience.

    Hi all I have solved the problem, as I'd mentioned the error is when you install the drivers and the order in which they are installed.

    First of all, install the file shortcut (8jvu20ww.exe)
    Once installed, you will be prompted to restart the system. Do not.
    Then install (g1ku20ww.exe) power management.
    Reinicir system and the problem is solved.
    A welcome message.

  • Satellite U300-15s - WARNING: Impossible to be able to control the Volume.

    Here are once again this return number...
    I have 100 forums comments, tried several methods but without success.

    First of all, some background: I have a Satellite U300-15 s, I had to install under XP SP2 for business purposes (sold with Vista). The audio chip is a Realtek ALC268. I reformatted the whole drive, wipping on the Vista recovery partition. My XP SP2 is a Version 5.1 (serial number 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301 - 1519: Service Pack 2) in English (menus in French). The sound worked under Vista. I installed all the Windows XP drivers supplied by Toshiba on their web site. I updated the BIOS to the version of 15/12/08. When I use the sound mute button, I see the changing icon to mute to mute not (and vice versa).

    For the audio drivers, once I discovered this problem, I tried:
    -install directly from Realtek drivers out of their website (version 2.12) (uninstall the toshiba drivers, reboot, install the realtek drivers, reboot)
    -install the KB888111 and KB198658 (uninstall the audio drivers, install 1 KB, reboot, install second KB, restart, install the audio drivers toshiba, reboot)

    Indeed, I tried to reinstall the drivers 10' th time, including multi reboot.

    Does anyone of you have an idea?

    Hello

    The right question is known to me because I had also after installing Win XP.

    The problem is that you need to install MS patches first;
    * KB835221 * and * KB888111 *.

    All laptops with Realtek audio chip needs these patches from Microsoft!
    After installing the MS patches, you should follow with the audio driver installation.

    Secondly, please follow the order of driver installation mentioned in the installation instructions txt file that is located on the European driver Toshiba page!

    Last but not least, you should know that the softwarw controls Toshiba is also responsible for Volume control, don t forget to reinstall.

    Oh. I forgot to mention that your Satellite U300-15 s belongs to the series of PSU30E!
    Choose this option in the form of driver download.

    I have a flv integrated for progressive download and my own buttons control pause, play and replay, as in the code below, but I can't understand how a silent script volume knob. Any ideas?

    function startAgain(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
    NS. Seek (0)
    NS. Resume();
    }

    replayer.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, startAgain);

    Thank you very much. You are so helpful. Adobe documents that are not examples are very difficult to make sense.

    I got it all work and I am very happy. In case anyone else is in this embarrassing situation, I included a little more code, in which a button Alternatively mute volume Cup and allows volume. I used a clip with four different labels States/framework.

    What I discovered with AS 3, is that it is really very pleasant to use but the documentation makes it seem harsh and hostile to beginners.

    Hello

    It's curious, why the program the Audio driver installation failed, but try the following to see if it is more successful.

    Windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right-click on the IDT audio device and select Properties.  Click the driver tab and then click on set to update driver.  Select this option to check on the internet and see if another driver is found and installed.  If this is the case, restart, and then check the good operation of the Mute button.

  • HP envy 17 J160NR: hp envy 17 J160NR mute button does not turn on

    I have a 17-inch hp envy laptop my work button mute it just used to light up orange when cut more I've had this laptop for a year. It was working fine yesterday but when I went to bed last night hp was an update of copying files and other stuff for this, but when I woke up this morning the button mute wouldn't lite upward when you press. and on my laptop the mute button is f6 and the keyboard is backlit. can anyone please help me out and tell me how to solve this problem? It's really annoying, I need help badly please. It is a portable jump movement.

    Hello

    The driving mute functionality is provided by the audio software package, so most likely, Windows has updated this to a version that does not have this feature.

    Try the following.

    Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

    When finished, turn off your WiFi card (or if wired, just unplug the router/access point).

    Then open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

    Let Windows load fully, then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

    If your mute led functions now correctly, turn on your wireless adapter (or re - connect the access point / router) and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 automatically update the IDT audio driver again.

  • MUTE button suddenly does not work

    I have a sl410 with windows 7 Home premium pre-installed and all the multimedia keys worked very well.

    After a few updates (driver lenovo and windows), mute my button does not work.

    Because I use Hibernate instead of shutdown that I can't say precisely what update caused this problem.

    A strange thing is that when I turn off the sound by the control of its use in the system tray, laptop mute button lights! But by pressing the button on the laptop has no effect.

    Lenovo update program says there is no update for me.

    Any suggestions?

    I solved the problem myself, but I don't know how!

    First of all, I used the recovery DVDs to restore windows. I saw "running windows for the first time" and all but the problem was still there. So I tried to downgrade my bios to 1.30 (it was 1.31) but I have found the bios file (thank God!).

    But after a few updates from Lenovo (power management, audio colleague and...) the problem was gone.

    Now everything works.
