  I would like to know what kind of camera will support MX200 and MX300 outside the norm.

• Using as a standalaone MX200 and MX700

  Hi guys,.

  I 2qty MX200 and 1qty MX700 both as autonomous, without CUCM or MCU. But these devices have multi-site features.

  I intend to use it for three locations RPF video confrencing.

  Is this possible? If so, how can I go about it?

  There is a lot of discussion in this forum for independent endpoints, you could do a search and see what others did or recommend.

  MX have the same configuration as the SX, EX, C - series endpoints.

• Touch 10 with MX200G2

  Hi, I have a client who has several systems of MX200G1 and just got a new MX200G2 system. They dislike the Touch10 and want to use a Touch8 to maintain consistency. Looking at the specs on the Touch10, it seems that it is designed slightly different from that of the Touch8 (PoE for example). Is it possible to use a Touch8 with the version of the G2 MX200/300?

  The genius of these two devices of contact could resemble a little, but older codecs that use the 8 touch have a different user interface design, then the newer codecs that use the 10 touch, like the latest SX and MX Series have a new user interface.

  Touch 8 is supported only with the following devices:

  • Cisco TelePresence EX Series (EX60, EX90), Cisco TelePresence profile series (42, 55, 65 profile profile profile), Cisco TelePresence MX Series (MX200 and MX300), Cisco TelePresence Integrator C series (Integrator C40, C60, C90) and quick play of Cisco TelePresence SX20.

  Button 10 is supported only with the following devices:

  • MX200/300 second generation and future generations of SX and MX Series.

• MX200 G2 won't add TMS

  We have just received our first g2 MX200 and when I tried to add the device under the TMS 13.1.2 systems I get "field update failed on: EndPoint_VolumeLevle: value cannot be null." ' Parameter name: String.  No idea on what is happening.  If I click done to add systems it will not add endpoint.  The MX is already running TC 7.1.1 and seems to prefer well with our VCS.  Any thoughts?

  If you previously added it in vain - maybe there is something still in the database for this device.  I suggest that you try to delete / purge all what's there, which may be linked to this device (in TMS, go to systems > Purge systems and select everything that could be linked to the device you are having a problem with purge).

• Multiway and audio only participating

  Codian MCU 4501 4.3 (2.18) running

  CUCM performer 7.1.5

  MX200/EX90 5.1.3 running

  I can call between my MX200s and EX90 multiway very well.   But if I try to bridge in a single audio call that connects via the SIP trunk to CUCM then I get a merger failed.  For example:

  I call endpoint IP on the MX200 CUCM

  Put this call on hold

  Call an EX90 and connect

  Fusion of success and it fails.

  I can't seem to get calls to merge

  If I log in the Codian and dial a number to the endpoint IP CUCM, EX90 and MX200 then I am able to make calls in a single multi-point conference.

  Multiway can't get a single audio call in?

  Yes, you can take a participant on CUCM in a multi call.

  I don't think that we have such a limitation that said participating audio cannot join multi call. multiway sip you'll see sip method.

  what I found in this kind of scneario CUCM is tht just the uri multiway CUCM and since cucm is not routing of the field and he is unable to join the multi call.

  I see you run cucm 7.1. can you add a route to sip on CUCM for multiway and then uri domain road back on VCS sip trunk, should make the call to work.

• Upgrade SSD Edge 2 problems

  So I finally got sick of my edge 2 slow access times and decided to install the MX200 Crucial I had in my last ASUS laptop in it, except that I can't.

  Any time I try to start the laptop with the MX200 attached it crashes. Normal startup crashes on the Lenovo logo, using the Novo button and selecting one of the four options is the same thing. Tried to play in the BIOS, I can do once I have pull the MX200 and disabled SecureBoot and tried to use the Legacy option, no go. Don't try to change the protected Intel all that he was not sure what makes everything.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated. I didn't know this was going to be more difficult then every other time that I changed to a hard drive.

  So, first of all, I didn't buy the MX200 for this laptop, I took out my old one, thinking it would be great to have an SSD in my Edge 2. No go.

  Second and because of my first point I did do that, research before you buy. Apparently, unlike my last Asus, at least some laptops Lenovo are very picky about something as simple as a hard drive used with it. Less then a minute of research would be revealed this, but again, I used what I had and didn't know until there is well, start.

  Finally, once again its Samsung, Samsung, Samsung. Apparently some SanDisk and Toshibas works, but when you have the 500lb Gorilla like Samsung in the room, just go with them next time, regardless of the brand of the laptop, cause a Samsung does not work, apparently you shouldn't do it at all.

  So, if you just bought a shiny new Lenovo and want an SSD inside, you now know what to buy.

• TelePresencing without server

  I understand that you can establish communication between the two EX-90 s without using a server (CUCM or VCS). What other points of Cisco TelePresence endpoints also allows for communications point-to-point without including a server. I'm suspecting MX200 and Quick Set will do.

• Cisco MX200/MX300 & screen tactile EX90 and Crestron

  Does anyone know if they can control these units using a Crestron touchscreen?   I know the other c40/c60 c90, codecs, can be controlled via a screen touch crestron, but not sure about these.

  I ask because we put 8 of these units in conference rooms that already have a Crestron in them and want to use only one of the panels rather than having the two sat on the table.

  Hello

  First of all, I want to mention that even if you try to use the Touch panels, it wouldn't work. The reason being that when Cisco Touch Panel is connected, it takes control of the OSD and it is not possible to control using other interfaces. I recommend that you use only the Crestron.

  Come to the second part. In Ex90, there is a maintenance RJ45 port at the bottom that can be used to combat it. If you can get the cable for RJ45 connected on Ex90 to one end of the cable and the other end to Crestron, I think you should be able to achieve the desired results.

  For the MX series, there is a serial port, allowing you to control the device, so I think you can plugin the Crestron using the serial port and you should be able to send commands to it and control it. However, keep in mind that if the Cisco button panel is connected, you could face questions by using the Crestron. For your reference, you will find the parameters of the serial port on the Mx series below:

  SerialPort Mode

  Set the COM 1 serial port to be enabled/disabled.

  Requires the user role: ADMIN

  Value space:

  On: Enable the serial port COM 1.

  OFF: Disables the serial port COM 1.

  Example: SerialPort Mode: on

  SerialPort BaudRate

  Specify the speed of transmission (data transmission rate, bits per second) for the COM 1 port on the codec.

  The default is 38400.

  Mario,

  This is the option buttons that you add directly to the codec. Just go to maintenance > upgrade and paste the option key pressed in the key field of the option. This usually requires a restart when completed.

• 6.2 TC preset and Eve

  Hello everyone,

  in older versions of tc, it was possible to set parameters predefined via trc5 or touch. Then, there was the possibility to configure the presets to load the boot or wake-up. To set this up, I go to "configuration" > "Advanced" > "stand-by". There, I saw the following option to configure:

  • Action of startup, control, delay, StandbyAction, WakeupAction.

  Now, I just checked TC6.2 on a MX300 and I could not find this settings more. Under the given path only present two options are available:

  • Control, delay

  Even on the cli I do find the commands to configure. The release notes say that in TC6.1, something only was with broken on MX200 presets but I don't think it's the same problem.

  I just checked on an EX90 and he had the same problem. This feature is removed by design or maybe a bug? And it does not appear on the other endpoints too?

• Constant Crash logs and unusual behavior spotlight?

  I get constant crash messages in my console. There is a behavior unusual spotlight as well.

  It all started with a hint of delay and backup times with reading of error message "Impossible backup, please try again later"

  Spotlight is indexing for long periods of time. Research presented so I tried these possible solutions.

  1 (obvious) adding hd/external references to the list of privacy then removing to re-index... No.

  2 disable indexing with the terminal and re-activation controls... No.

  3 find 10.7.5 additional updated with the hotfix for extended projector or activity of time machine,.

  then focus on disabled,

  ran disk utility to repair permissions,.

  welcomed my backup run and assumed all was well. I thought that I re activated spotlight and the problem has been resolved, but apparently my console suggested projector has been disabled so I have reactivated the indexing and have had some problems of backup again... (continue)

  During my diagnosis, I consulted a friend who looked at my console. He mentioned disk i/o errors and I have maybe need to replace my hard drive soon - I was considering upgrading ssd anyway - so I did the installation and upgrade of RAM.

  Now, my attention is directed to my messages to the console.

  I get the minute incident reports or more. mdsworker showing an invalid address (?-?)? I don't have a lot of knowledge in regards to the console and how to read the messages, but I do not recognize the word or the fault accident. Any help is appreciated. Can't post a report if required. Thanks in advance!
