  This morning I did an installation of upgrade to ESXi 5.1.0 Update 1 to ESXi 5.1.0 Update 3 (latest Version) on one of the blades of my VRTX M620 three 3.  I have the same problem that I met about a year, when I tried to update 1-2 update.  I had to go down to 1 update to see the data store.

  With update 3, the data store does not appear on this blade.  I did a scan to see if the data store is present, but he did not.  Also, I restarted the blade which did not help.

  The original sas megaraid drivers (even installed on the blades of M620 Dell) had to be installed.  It is my understanding that several versions of the megaraid sas driver provided on the Dell ESXi ISO are meant to satisfy the VMware HCL for this material.  However, the more recent does not show the data store.

  Use the management tools of systems and Documentation (GDPS) instead of SBUU.  If you use SBUU with 2008R2, you should use the Driver Pack too... MUCH easier to use the GDPS, which has everything you need in there:

  Yes, you start on GDPS, follow the instructions, and then insert the 2008R2 media when prompted.

  Need help if anyone knows how to configure the switch. I have a with this installed Force 10 MXL Dell M1000E chassis. The 10GBase-T Module is installed. I have install the tengigabitethernet 0/1 to switchport and 10000mbit. All I want is my blades to communicate through the 10gig interface. Blade server 2008 R2 auto connect servers negotiate to 1 GB. I put them in complete 10gig and now the interface displays the cable is disconnected. Can someone give me an idea on what I'm doing wrong?

  Midplane version is 1.0

  That's the problem. The median plan doesn't support 10 GB. You need to replace central backplane with version 1.1.

  Thank you for taking the time to read this post. This weekend I will update multiple servers 4.0 Update 1. They where upgrades to 3.5 update 4 and they had no problem and work very well. They where of DELL 2950. We have also installed 3 new Dell R510 with integrated NIC '2' and '2' Port Quad Intel Nic is in the PCI slots.

  After installation of ESX4 on boxes, it only see's Integrated NIC - two Broadcom. Again, really new to version 4.0 and commands, I used in 3.5 to find network cards and network config do not seem to get in the version 4.0...

  How to recognize the NIC in the HOST?

What is the module has the ability to auto negotiate to 1 GB. We want to use this port for connections to the switch avaya 1 GB Ethernet based. The port of internal network to blade port 1-16 must go through this port goes to the external network (switch Avaya)

  -Do we really need to configure for this port. Is 10 GB base-T port has the features of auto-negotiation up to 1 GB

  The M8024k will automatically negotiate 1/10 GB for all internal ports. SFP 4 external / SFP ports + are has several ports support 1/10 GB speeds. The external ports also need a transceiver that supports the speed you want to use.

  VLAN tagging is used when needing to send traffic to several VLANs over a single connection. If everything on the chassis will be in the same VLAN, then you should not have to put in place a trunk.   I just replaced my PC with a Dell laptop that has Windows 10. My P1102w printer worked like a charm for three years and my new Dell sees the printer but will not install the drivers.

  I downloaded the drivers for Windows 10 and it gets to 98%, then stops for hours! If the printer icon is always grayed out and is not available.

  I've been a fan of Dell and Dell bought since 1988 when michael dell was in Austin.  The service was great.  Then, like most companies that become very big, they abandon service customer for more profits.  It's understandable that dell must show profits like any other company.  I bought a lot of Dell computers, I have recommended the stock in Dell property There are too many people.  That being said I received calls from Indian masquerading as Dell computers with my service number.   they want to be able to control my computer from a remote location.  I know it's a scam, so I tried to call Dell asking an American couldn't talk to Indians who are the main cause of the alarm.  Now, either their India call centers have obtained all these numbers Express tag or Dell has been hacked.  I'm trying to talk to someone and Dells the Security Department for the last four hours and a half, I have tapes of phone numbers of our conversations but are all that I can talk about the Indians, the root cause of the fraud.  Now I get calls from the Indians who claim to be agents of the IRS who are really a joke as I play with these guys just out of fun as you would think that Dell would like to know more information on this case, a multi-billion dollar company should have better security or at least be willing to talk to a loyal customer

  I get audio cracks, stuttering, delay on all programs, all the time, when I have my active wifi. I pin pointed the device using the DPC latency. I tried the update audio, video, and network drivers to the latest versions and roll back to the previous ones, no results. Any ideas, or do I just bring my laptop to the service center?

• Invisible NIC for ESX but seen by lspci

  This may be a simple solution, but I'm not find resolution.  Run ESX 4.0 on Dell R710 with a NIC four ports on the motherboard and four ports in PCI1 NIC, turning off the system to add a second NIC to four ports PCI2 (same brand and the seller as the first), fed by system up, but does not have the new network adapters plugged into what either.  VCenter brought to the top but the second quad-port NIC is not seen by ESX, but can be seen when I do an lspci | grep 'Ethernet '.  Esxcfg-NICS - l does not show the new NETWORK map either because I guess that it will only show these network cards known or used by ESX.  Is it possible to have the system will reload the drivers without restarting the computer for "Unknown device" NETWORK card ports and allow them to be seen by ESX?  If this isn't the case, should ports be connected to a switch device or network for the ESX to recognize that they exist in order to use?
