  • Crystal Eye Webcam & Bluetooth not working not not on AO725

Hello, I recently bought an Acer Aspire One (AO725-0600), I post the datasheet of information, but for some reason, Acer decided it wasn't important more info on their previous equipment. In any case, this laptop came preloaded with Windows 8 , which I hate so I got the Win7 x 64 Ultimate and I installed it (because I think I as a consumer have the say on what OS I want to).

So I am trying to install all the drivers and so far I have managed to install the LAN, WLAN, Audio, VGA, card reader, Touchpad and even Launch Manager apps and E-power, but for some reason, Bluetooth and Webcam refused to work correctly, technically, they have installed successfully, but when I open the program Crystal Eye the camera has a poor resolution 160 x 120 and the drop-down list that would normally have the resolution options is grayed out, and when I rebooted the netbook, the combo worked, but only for 5 minutes until that program asked me "another HD camera has been detected, do you want?" and I used No, but the camera has become black and never out once again, so I rebooted again and this time I used Yes, but after that the camera is returned to the mediocre 120 x 160 Windows gave me the notification that the 2 drivers were installed, a "camera HD" and "USB device"unnamed.

And what of this Bluetooth, as I said only it installed correctly, but I don't see in the status bar is a small Bluetooth icon with a bar oblique red, the only option that gives me is 'Start adapter' so I click on it and then absolutely nothing happens, the icon disappears and there is no Bluetooth. So I open the following from the root directory but still nothing happens, I use Windows options to send - receive data via Bluetooth, but it tells me that I don't have a Bluetooth device .

Everything here is confusion. Can someone help me? and if please do not come to me with "but should not have installed another OS because it's a select Acer for you and so we can not give you support for another OS" because that would be a blatant lie, or simply wouldn't make sense since Support page has all the drivers for this notebook for Windows 7 (x 86 - x 64) and win 8 (update x 86 - x 64-seven) , so I know that I can use it.

If you want to check, go to drivers > Group > Netbook, Chromebook > series > AspireOne > Products > AO725.

In fact, there are 2 Bluetooth, Atheros and Broadcomdrivers. And Yes, I obviously tried with the two em' since I don't see what kind of device I had with this model because a software like PC Wizard or Speccy cannot detect any kind of Bluetooth. Atheros is installed and all, this is the one I assumed that I had with this sucks, because when I tried with Broadcom one, he simply said: "a Bluetooth device has not been detected. "Please ensure that a device Bluetooth is connected correctly to begin installing"..

So please, please someone to help me, because now that he is not an official page to see all the info on this particular model, it's not like I can't go to other forums for help. If you want me to post a few newspapers of some programs or any other information you need please ask me.

Hi Tommy, thanks for the reply. I already have another post, because I have understood that the Bluetooth does not work because I didin't installed Launch Manager (go figure), and now the problem is just the camera itself. I would really appreciate it if you could help me here. Thank you

  • Integrated motion Eye webcam does not work after installation of own Windows 7 64 - bit (Sony VAIO VGN-AR770)

Hi, I'm having so much worse for my webcam to work again after a clean installed Windows 7 64-bit (I used to run 32-bit vista). I searched the net and found many many people with the same problem but no solution yet that works for me. My last attempt:

I manually installed these drivers recommended on this forum: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-hardware-devices/1135698.htm

With the help of the method 'have disk '. Installation seemed to happen, but no program does not recognize my webcam. Skype, for example, seems to work, but the video is just black.

In Device Manager > features the webcam is listed as "RY5U870/VGA-CAM F01_UVC of Imaging.
"and noted that"this device works fine."" Many people have suggested to try to download the originals and installation using Vista compatibility, but I can't get these drivers to 64-bit, and when I download the 32-bit drivers, unfortunately they do not work.

I understand that I hit a wall here on my laptop model Sony support (now obsolete), but I feel that there must be a work around that people found out there somewhere. Can someone help me get my webcam goes again?

  • My Windows 8 webcam does not work on my Lenovo laptop

I use it on the camera app, which is the only thing I've ever tried on. I tried redownloading the app and my computer is fully updated. Still, when I go to my camera, looks like it broke, the thing is, it should not be broken. Its has got horizontal lines on the screen and they are all purple and pink color. I've only had a few weeks it's one yoga with an i5 processor, other than the camera to the laptop, there is no problem with the computer. I was very careful with the laptop and I don't know how he could have broken if that's the problem, I looked closely at the camera and it doesn't seem to be any cracks in it, drank, which does not mean necessarily it does not exist.

I've used it before and it worked perfectly well, which was the first day I got it. I did these steps you said and it came up saying it has been already updated, but, I just got another photo app and it worked fine, then I went to check out the old camera app, and it also worked well. I don't know what happened, but somewhere along the way he has set.

-Don't you make changes to your computer, after which the issue started?
-A Acer crystal eye webcam work much earlier?
-What operating system is installed on your computer?

Assuming you are using Windows 7, I don't see Acer driver updates; and compatibility with Windows 7 does not list that compatible webcam as seen HERE.  You can, however, try to install the Vista drivers and run it in compatibility mode of Windows. However, there is no guarantee to this method.

  • Reinstall Acer Crystal Eye Webcam

The hard drive on my 5742z have completely failed. I couldn't recover using the recovery discs because they could not access the hard disk. Finally, my only recourse was to buy an OEM version of windows 7 Home premium, to remove the old drive of garbage and install a new samsung 256Go SSB 840Pro. Everything works fine with the new clean install except the dedicated keys on the keyboard do not work (example: Fn - F3 that allows WiFi). I guess that's because none of the original acer software is present. Is there a way I can always activate the dedicated keys? Would it not be possible to use the original for recovery disks do without delousing of my new installation of windows 7?

I understood the foregoing as a backdrop for my new problem.

I need to reinstall the crystal eye webcam on the laptop above. It's in my device showing Manager as working normally, however, it does not appear in my control panel being installed and that is why, I can't access it. Can some kind soul help me with that? I was very pleased and grateful for the quick help to solve my problem of WiFi more early.

    Hi baldbarn

The recovery disks need not drive to install. They are a complete full installation of Windows for your particular laptop that contains all good drivers & applications.

However, as you have already installed Windows 7 on your machine, go to Acer support for your region and click «Drivers & manuals» Then, select your model and operating system. All the drivers and Applications are there for you to download - just click on the tabs 'Pilot' and 'Applications '.

    I hope this helps!
