• What is needed to install the Apple Profile Manager

  I am trying to use the Profile Manager as our MDM solution for a roll-out of iPads.  Anyone knows what is needed to install the Profile Manager?  I tried to contact the guy through my Representative, who introduced me to the MPA but haven't heard anything back.  Any help would be great.

  Last Profile Manager requires el Capitan. El Capitan requires 2 gigabytes of memory.  A reasonable minimum is 4gig.  You prefer get 8gig.  you prefer to get an external hard drive to back up your machine. The Profile Manager is a separate download?  -No - I think.  Thus, you prefer to buy the el Capitan Server version.

  I have Apple Profile Manager configured as my MDM solution and I have created dozens of groups of devices for about 500 aircraft.

  Now, I need to get a list of my devices (names, serial numbers and groups) for a file that I can read and edit with Excel. As a ratio of registered MDM devices by device groups...

  I've not found tools in the server itself for this report. I looked on the internet and I managed to run a console command that created a .sql dump of the database, but this is where I am stuck. I can't seem to find a way to correctly convert this .sql file into a .csv or .xhtml or whatever it is readable.

  Can someone help me how to do this?

  I've got covered you.  You must connect to the database and clear the records you want.  It's easy.  Follow these steps:

  1: connect to the database

  sudo psql - U _devicemgr d devicemgr_v2m0 h/Library/Server/ProfileManager/Config/var/PostgreSQL

  This allows you to enter the interactive shell.

  2: select the database you want to interact with

  \c devicemgr_v2m0;

  3: dump all the data on your devices.

  Select * from devices;

  4: If you want the names and serial numbers, use:

  Select "DeviceName", "SerialNumber" of devices;

  5: when to leave the shell

  \Q

  Many data are there.  Be careful.  Don't use that selects them.

• Color profile does not

  Hallo,

  I have a question for a color profile that I installed in my new Imac with spider 2 and color eyes display pro1.52 r036 software.

  the thing is is works on the programs of intelnal as preview very well.

  But in Adobe photoshop CC2015 it does not work well.

  The colors are perfect, but the contrast is not good, but the contrast is completely different from the other program as a preview.

  The black level is not good.

  I try to restart Photoshop and the Imac several times but no result.

  When I use the default color of Apple profile then the black level is the same with any program.

  I know spyder 2 and color eyes display pro 152 r036 is old hardware and software, so that could be the problem but I'm not sure.

  Any help or advice is welcome.

  The Spyder 2 has never been very reliable in the first place and it is basically useless on modern LED and variety shows.

  You really should get a current sensor. Later generations of Spyder (3 upwards) are much better, but if you want the best sensor there is no way around the i1 Display Pro. It is more or less the standard of current industry (except for some extremely expensive instruments). The ColorMunki Display uses the same material, but paralyzed in many ways.

  ColorEyes software is good, used to be the best third party software. It is probably best to x-rite or software Spyder. But I've seen problems reported with recent versions of OS X. I don't know if ColorEyes is updated more or if the company is still in business at all.

  I want to receive an alert message when iPads are connected to the Mac so that I can remote log-in updates and run on iPads.

  Can write an Applescript application called iTunes that you send an email and then calls the real itunes.  It is a concept.  Don't know if you can get the real iTunes work.

  Hi, I have authorized after Apple install a 2nd layer of security on my iPhone and basically add it to my profile. Now I can't access my purchases on my 2nd generation Apple TV (film music, video). There is no way to get the required security code, which is showing on my iPhone, effectively disabling my Apple TV. This apparently an Apple problem, that bears down on us customers. Now life is terrible after I allowed to enter the 2nd layer of security because things at Apple don't seem to work. I'm so frustrated once again. Zed

  You can not delete your profile. To remove from under your name in discussions, win a different specialty at the same level.
