• Canon MF3110 printer will not install

  I am trying to install a multifunction Canon MF3110 on my Win7 64 bit portable printer.  Canon does not have a 64-bit for this printer driver and I can't get Windows let me manually install another driver.  The 'Update Driver' button is grayed out.  In addition, the device is listed as 'No' then it is not recognized as a printer.  I did something wrong the first time I plugged it in the USB port?  How can I remove the unit and start again?  When I right click, I don't get the option to delete and the resolution of problems can not solve the problem.  Thank you.

  I would suggest trying the following steps and check.

  a. click Start , and then type Device Manager in the start search box and press ENTER.

  b. connect the printing device. As soon as you plug in the appliance, you will find the device in the Device Manager.

  c. right-click on the device and click then on Update driver software.

  d. click Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

  e. click on have disk.

  f. in the Browse option, navigate to the folder containing the .inf file

  g. click ok and continue with the instructions on the screen.

  I'm having trouble installing a model of Canon MP360 all-in-one Scanner/printer/copier.

  I managed to get the printer to print (using older drivers - Windows 2000/XP), but the scanner function does not work.

  If I go to a graphics program for example Photoshop Elements, the scanner device is not in the list choose enable analysis.  The same for Adobe Acrobat or something else where I should be able to scan documents, photos, etc.

  Vista does not recognize the printer/scanner pure and simple by just plug ' don't play.   He's trying to find the drivers but failed.

  If I have normal installation that is to install the software driver, then plug in the printer, the system tries to detect the hardware, but even once is unable to load the drivers and recognize the device correctly.

  Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

  It's an old printer and there was only the 32-bit drivers for Windows 98 to Vista. Canon are unlikely to write 64-bit drivers now.

  If win7 drivers/software are available they will be freely available on the support site for Canon, as the manufacturer of your hardware.

  HP lj1022 printer will not connect not not via the USB port after the installation of the new driver upgrade hp lj1020/1022 for Windows 7 (64-bit).   I got this HP printer for a while and it worked fine.  Our old router is out and we had to get a new one.  Installed perfectly and printer continued to work properly.  The password for the router was ridiculous, that's why I changed it to something much more simple to remember.  Since then, my printer will not connect to wireless internet.  I have a ~ and reinstalled the printer but still have the same problem.  I thought maybe to try the former password would, but who does not work either.

  Easy things first.  Turn off the router and the printer.  Turn on the router and wait 3 minutes.  Turn on the printer and see if it connects to your router.  Status?

  If no joy, temporarily disable all security in the router.  Now try to connect the printer to your SSID not guaranteed without password.  Status now?

  If OK, go back and add WPA2-AES with your simple password.  Status now?

After a LOT of messing around FINALLY got it works, BUT a day later upgrades arrived to update my iOS X 10.9.3 with a simultaneous upgrade of the software driver for the printer. The computer can be seen as it is showing ink etc. levels and said he printed and I can print test pages, but it has not allowed me to print from Word, Excel, Web or PDF!  I tried to uninstall the printer drivers and reinstall those of the HP Web, which I suppose would be the 'old' - but still no luck. I need this job and am close to tears - any help would be appreciated. I also tried deleting and reinstalling Office for Mac... NB it prints beautifully and effortlessly to my husband's PC.

  First, try the following steps:

  2. Repair disk permissions
  3. Restart your computer
  4. Add the printer: full function and driver-OS X 10.9 Mavericks software
