  • So dead computer battery died. Why the computer is not put in Hibernate or stop safely on its own?

It must be a problem with Vista. When my computer battery runs out, my computer dies. Why is it not computer smart enough to know the battery died about to close?  When I used XP, the computer would Hibernate protection itself. With Vista, I get a warning that the battery is almost dead, but most of the time I don't get any warnings, the matrices of the computer. Because he died, when I restart the computer, 9 of 10 times I get an error message and several varying options to start in safe mode to start normally.  The other tenth, the computer takes about 20 minutes to get back to normal, sometimes I even to restore the computer to a previous backup. Its been getting worse lately, these last 2 months. When the computer was new 1.8 years ago, I never had to restore when the computer was turned off.
From the beginning, I returned the computer to bridge and when I came back, they did something that until now I know.  The computer is always went cold Turkey when the battery was missing. Recently, I thought of the situation and realized that it wasn't a gateway problem but a problem with the operating system.

I'm wrong, it of a Vista problem and shouldn't the computer hibernate or sleep instead of just trying to die and lose everything?

Make sure that your power options are set correctly:

Place your mouse over the the battery icon on the taskbar and right click.
    Select "Power Options".

According to the plan used on your computer, click on "Change Plan settings".

    Click on "change power avancΘs."

Scroll down and expand the entry for the battery.
    Expand "critical battery Action.
Make sure it is set to Hibernate or sleep, you like (Hibernate allows you to Exchange batteries without data loss).
Expand "Critical battery level" and set the battery level at which this action take place (5-7% usually leaves enough power to go in hibernation).

    Click on 'Ok '.
Once the laptop goes into hibernation, not to interrupt the process by removing the battery until the light on the hard drive and all the other lights stop flashing and power down. Once they have fed completely down (may take a few minutes) you can exchange the batteries safely. To wake up from hibernation, press and release the power (once) button. Function of various factors, your laptop can take 1 to 5 minutes to return to the login screen, although usually, it will be one or two minutes, not five.
Please let us know if this is not the problem.

  • Computer - battery problems - R51 "freezes".

    Hello

I have a problem with my new battery. Initially, I had a battery ASM 92 P 1064 in my IBM Thinkpad R51 1829,

that was no more that he has aged.

So I replaced it with an original IBM battery (92 P 1090 ASM). She needed some time before he started first of loading, but then it was fine.

I loaded up to 99% and then wanted to test its ability. It worked absolutely fine for the duration of an hour but then my laptop (I use Windows XP) sort of frozen. There are still abot 70% capacity left.

I rebooted and it froze again. I fully drained the battery and recharged, but it also did not help.

When it is frozen I can't do anything more. Same Ctrl + Alt + Delete does not work. That the office still works (it only goes black when the battery is empty...)

The power adapter, my computer works without problem.

So, what could be wrong on this new battery? Hope that there is someone who could help me...

    Thanks for the reply

I bought on Amazon and can send back (14 days). I don't think its something on the computer I checked on my old battery just right now (it lasts between 5 and 40 minutes depending on what ^ ^) and it works without freezing my laptop.

Never reimagee my computer again but it still sounds like a good idea! Never thought of this again and would need to check a program first.

" Turn off the computer and wait until cools up to the operating temperature. "After several hours off the coast and even on current alternative, the battery status light flashes white to amber.  It starts fine with the same message that appears on the toolbar of systems.  The meter now shows "0%, no recharge underway." However, Device Manager displays a problem with the battery.  My second step is to go to Dell.support.  The web site found and recommended to install a BIOS file.  However, during the installation, she abandoned because it is "impossible to download until the battery is charged 10%."  Please tell me the problem and the solution?  Are there consequences if I don't quickly act on your recommendation? • Battery Manager is too autonomous.

I really like using 'eco Mode' of the battery Manager to stop the charge to 80%, if I want to keep my laptop connected for a long time. Even when I'm mobile, I have yet to more than 80% charged battery until I'm at a place fixed & powered again.

Why can I not pay Manager battery to KEEP the eco mode game, regardless of how many times he sees that I am using the battery? If I know I'm going to need 100% of expenses for a longer stay mobile, I can put normal charge mode myself when I am charge before leaving.

I want my battery to last as long as possible in what concerns the total number of years & months holds a decent amount of load. 1 year, I get about 4.5 hours of use between 80% and 10% battery, WiFi, without the brightness of the screen covering or even turn off the backlight on the keyboard. Fees of 100%, the machine believes that 6 hours of use, but experience tells me that I can wait to see that figure drop quickly if I use 100% of cycles regularly.

I'm the only person who'd rather have a computer battery laptop reliable 4hrs for 2-3 years, instead of a battery of 6 h that turns into a no charge after 1 year battery?

So... There is no way to set the mode of operation of the battery Manager... ?

If I need to turn on or off the Eco Mode, I first provide administrative permission to access the program, and then make the change I want. Battery Manager, on the other hand, can simply cancel my selection without administrative authorisation. Why can't this behavior go off?

  • Satellite Z830-10 t - battery replacement

    Hello

I would like to know how I can replace my PC (Satellite Z830-10 t) to the Japan.

Two years ago I bought the PC in the United Kingdom, and now I'm living in the Japan.
The computer battery is not recharged and now counted more, so I think I need to replace the battery.
Then, I asked Toshiba support the Japan to replace the battery, but they refused my offer, because they deal only with products sold to the Japan.

Could someone tell me how I can replace the battery from my PC to the Japan?
Should I send the customer to the United Kingdom? If so, what is the address? How much does it cost?
Or, it may be necessary to think of the battery by myself. In this case, could someone tell me what is the battery product number?

    Thank you in advance.

    Sincerely,
    Yuki

It is not easy to give you good advice you can do. Problem is that your laptop must be disassembled and this should be done by authorized personnel only.

Perhaps, you can order battery from the United Kingdom and to ask ASP to the Japan to exchange it. It should not be problematic. I can imagine that they have a problem ordering original parts.

Try to order in the United Kingdom, or maybe you have someone who can do it for you and send it to you.

  • Satellite L450D - 11 X, battery plugged in but not supported.

My Satellite L450D - 11 X (fairly new) is plugged in, but the battery won't charge and the battery light is orange. Life flows or increases when using it plugged. I tried updating the BIOS but don't know if I did this correctly. Thanks for any help in advance.

    You can try the following:

    1 reinsert the battery
2 unplug the computer from the power adapter and turn it on. Let the computer battery power until the computer turns off, indicating that the battery is fully discharged.

If it still doesn't load, it can be the malfunction of the accumulator. In this case, you must contact the Asp (SAV) to replace. They will do it for free as you say it's always new.
