My computer crashes after I log

Quite often, I usually have to do a complete system restore once a month, I did a couple of days ago and already it freezes in normal mode. My computer only works in safe mode, which I am using right now. Oh, and before that I restored the system two days ago, I couldn't even it works in safe mode. How can I fix?

Hello

Use the startup clean and other methods to try to determine the cause of and eliminate
the questions.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have NEVER
on this machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause
strange problems).

Follow these steps:

Start - type this in the search box-> find COMMAND at the top and RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

    Hi, Kevin

    My computer crashed after the automatic update Tuesday evening. The message indicates that the demand for window vista (which initially provided with the Lenovo computer, that I bought new in 2007) is not valid. When I rebooted and you press F5, it offers 3 options 'Security Mode', but no return explicitly beforehand updated status.

  • Computer crash after February 2010 updates vista

    My laptop downloaded the lates updates to windows, when the computer restarted, he would go to the logo screen of windows with the green bar travel corporation moving, but it freezes it.  I tried restoring the system, chckdsk, Recovery Console, memory check and change the renaming of the sdbus.inf, sdbus. Pilot not flying mcmcia.sys and ohci1394.sys to .old without change in results.  When I try to start in safe mode with and without networking, that the system hangs at crcdisk.sys I even spent money (few hundred) for a third tech no help.  I was told that I need a vista cd to repair the problem in the end.  My laptop did not come with a cd of vista so what is next?  I'm certaing that everything on the laptop is opperational and updates crashed my system which is a HP Pavilion TX 2510 U.S. with Vista Home Premium installed.

    My system is finally underway, I hope.  I have not done a reboot, but wanted to check in French - in case someone else had the same problems I had.  After several troubleshooting steps, I realized that I avoided the simplicity during the troubleshooting process.  Something caused my hanging cd/dvd player, causing the system to stall.  Check if the light on your which is while the system is suspended.  If so, you may have the same problem.  I don't know if it was the update or just a coincidence that it happened at the same time, but all those who, here's what I did to get running back without losing all my data and downloaded the software.

    I went into my bios (press ESC at start-up incase you don't know how to get there) and I turned off my cd-rom drive (you will have to look around in your own bios, because I believe that all systems are somewhat different) and set to start at the last.  I hit F10 to exit and save and the sytem retrieved using any return to the standard to this day.  I then created a system for future accidents drive although I had access to mine during troubleshooting by pressing F8 during startup.  I need never hope that the recovery disks that I do not lose software installations.  I do; However, all my data saved on my network.  I highly recommend this process long and tedious to do systematically as my system was working at full performance, when I stumbled on this 2 day troubleshooting dedication.

    Thanks for your reply quck Michael Murphy.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate incase my methods did not work.

    It may be a show-stopper, but the Disk Defragmenter report reveals a situation that can't be helped.

    You have only 11% free space. You need a minimum of 15% to be able to run Disk Defragmenter, but ideally you need 20-25%. Go to these sales might be achievable if you have not already done some detailed below things.

    First of all, I would recommend that you download and install cCleaner. You will save some space by simply deleting the less important system restore points. Keep the last and before any update and delete the regular restore points. Follow the more detailed notes about cCleaner.

    A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner. cCleaner comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.
    http://www.CCleaner.com/download

    1.9. When you open cCleaner you will see four large icons to the left of the window. Here's cleaner them, registry, tools, and Options. For routine maintenance, you normally acceding Cleaner (this is not the mentioned registry cleaner later). When using for the first time only, you can accept the default settings.

    1.10. some observations on the parameters. On my computer, I do not have the boxes before the passwords saved selected. In a less secure environment, you could check this option and set cCleaner to run automatically when the computer starts. You also cannot check the boxes in front of shortcuts from the Start Menu, desktop shortcuts and historical form. You must check the boxes according to your needs. Bad first time options causes irritating no disasters.

    1.11. the second icon that you see when you open cCleaner's registry. A reserve many experienced users have about cCleaner, it's that it comes with a registry cleaner. This tool should not be used. By using a registry cleaner, but it is the case, provides significant benefits and there is always the risk of creating insoluble system errors, which cannot be resolved by reinstalling the operating system and all that that implies. You will avoid any possible problem of not not by clicking on the Save icon.

    1.12 the third icon that you see when you open cCleaner is tools. If you click this icon, it gives you access a routine plus service options. The first two tools are uninstalled and commissioning. I do not use these tools, preferring to use other software options. The third tool is the restoration of the system, which is covered in the next paragraph. The fourth tool is Wiper Drive and you will find reviews about this tool later

    1.13 removing the system restore points can be important if you have little free disk space. The ability to delete them is one of the tools options. You can selectively remove those created in less important moments. This makes it easier to hold the restore points for long periods without keeping large unwanted files, whose inflexible approach to disk cleanup fails to offer.

    1.14. you can't remove the last restore point using the cleaning disc or cCleaner. If the last restore point contains malicious software, you can turn off and then turn on system restore. This has the disadvantage that restore all points are removed when you want to keep more restore points that are not infected. How to get round this problem is to create a new restore point when you are satisfied with your computer is free of malware and then remove the infected restore point.

    1.15. in normal circumstances, you probably rarely need to use Driver wiper. However, there are situations like if you gave the computer to someone else, then the tool may be useful. Please note that the wiper Drive, opening, generates a warning message, which should not be dismissed lightly. Using wiper Drive for the wrong reason could have serious consequences.

    1.16 the fourth icon is labeled Options. Many configuration options are available here. You can configure cCleaner to run when start you but remember that this will slow down the boot. Another setting allows you to include or exclude cookies. Yet another allows files named to exclude

    You can create more free space in C by doing one of the following suggested measures.

    The default allocation for the restoration of the system is 12% on your C partition is more generous. I have them would be reduced by 700 MB. Make my computer right click on your icon, and select System Restore. Place the cursor on your C drive select settings but this time find the slider and drag it to the left until it shows 700 MB and output. When you get to the settings screen, click on apply and OK and leave.

    A flaw that might be useless which is for temporary internet files, especially if you keep no copies on the disk offline. Setting the default value is 3% of the walk. Depending on your attitude to copies offline, you could bring it to 1% or 2%. In Internet Explorer, select Tools, Internet Options, general, temporary Internet files, settings to make the change. At the same time, look at the number of days, the story stands.

    The default allocation for the basket is 10% of the disk. Change to 5%, which should be enough. In Windows Explorer hover over your Recycle Bin, right click and select Properties, Global and move the slider from 10% to 5%. However, try to let you become so complete that if it is complete and you delete a file by mistake it will bypass the Recycle Bin and have gone forever.

    If your drive is formatted as NTFS another potential gain arises with your operating system on your C drive. In the Windows directory of your C partition you will some uninstall files in your Windows folder in general: $NtServicePackUninstall$ and $NtUninstallKB282010$ etc. These files can be compressed or not compressed. If compressed text the name of the folder appears in blue. If these files are not compressed you can compress. Right-click on each folder and select Properties, general, advanced, and check the box before you compress contents to save disk space. On the general tab, you can see the winning amount by deducting the size on disk size. File compression is only an option on an NTFS formatted disk partition / partition.

    I'll be able to make other suggestions when you have worked through the list above.

    Q: do you have a Norton or McAfee free trial come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it (and that would have been installed, but not valid, when you reinstalled Vista)?

    A: McAfee has been the free trial when I bought the laptop.  I've tended after the expiration on the McAfee.

    Comment: If you didn't let the McAfee free trial expires before replace you it with the application of Trend Micro, chances are that you should not have to reinstall Vista.

    When you reinstalled Vista, McAfee free trial was also reinstalled, but not valid. You should have (1) uninstalled McAfee free trial AND (2) download / run the McAfee removal tool (see below) before installing Microsoft Security Essentials AND BEFORE that you have installed the Windows updates.

    That being said, see if the following solves your problem:

    1. download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop tool:http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    4. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 & run the difficulty.

    5. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 & run this difficulty in DEFAULT and modes and AGGRESSIVE. [1]

    6. restart once again & test.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    [1] full Disclosure: the difficulty operating in AGGRESSIVE mode will remove your update history but not the list of installed updates.
  • My computer freezes after a normal startup
    My computer crashes after the normal start time randomly I do nothing especially when it freezes. I ran malware bytes, SuperAntiSpyware, Avast and nothing was found, I also ran windows defender and malicious Microsoft removal tool. I am running Windows XP Pro. SP3. I can run the PC in safe mode and mode safe mode with networking, but as soon as I run it in normal mode it freezes all the time. I'm at my wits end trying to fix can someone help please.
    Take a look in the system and Application logs in the errors and warnings event viewer and post here the copies. Do not post on that more than 48 hours ago.
    You can access event viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, and Event Viewer. When searching for the meaning of the error, information about the event ID, Source and Description are important.
    A tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. You will see a button resembling two pages. Click on the button and close Event Viewer. This places a copy of the report to your Clipboard. Paste it into the body of your message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.
    Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell
    Hello
    What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have NEVER
    Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
    This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
    This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
    -Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
    For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
    Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html
    For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
    Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
    your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
    Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
    Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.
    Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
    with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.
    Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
    Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
    BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)
    Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.
    Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
    presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
    in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.
    Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.
    Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html
    If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
    Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
    older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
    get new manually if you wish.
