My computer froze including keyboard.

I downloaded software that works for a different language for an (additional) external key board. When it asked me to reboot I did but my computer froze after and none of the buttons respond. I was able to open the computer and the connection but after that, I'm stuck. I couldn't uninstall or restore. Computer Windows XP and Dell.

Hello

1. what happens if you unplug the external keyboard and then try to boot to the desktop?

2. you receive an error message when you try to start the computer with the keyboard connected?

3. using an external wireless or wired keyboard?

4. what operating system is installed on the computer?

I suggest that you remove the external keyboard and then try to boot to the desktop.

Once you start on the desktop, connect the keyboard and then try to uninstall the software that you have installed for the keyboard.

You can use the third-party software removal tool to remove the software.

If your problems persist, contact the manufacturer of the software keyboard for assistance.

  • Computer froze

Original title: it is as if Windows has been completely removed from my computer

I was browsing the internet when all of a sudden my computer froze, and then I stopped it. When I turned back, my startup screen everything had disappeared and the sign on the side disappeared. I noticed that it seemed to be downloading updates and protection software. I left all put in and download but my splash screen has not returned and has not either side panel. I got the computer may 28 and it is now June 9, is not an old computer. It's a Windows 8. He has only the small arrow in the bottom right corner, and it only allows me to use chrome. Please, help me, I am close to tears.

  • will choose the manually back option in iTunes backup everything that is on my iPhone to my computer? Including the app data

Not a problem just a question. I intend to sell my apple iPhone, it's not compatible with my new wireless network. I can't afford to buy an iPhone outright at the moment, but I plan in the future. I want to backup everything on my iPhone to my Mac so that I can restore the data to a new iPhone later. The current iPhone 5 is already set to save important things to iCloud, if I choose the option with a manual backup encryption will be that record everything, including all the data from the app? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I want to just make sure I have everything before you send the iPhone.

    Hello CallRinny,

I understand that you have a question about your iTunes backups and that you should use. Back on which covers.

In general, an iTunes backup will cover pretty much everything on your iPhone. The best thing to watch over it, it's what doesn't iTunes back upwards and which covers the encrypted backup. Take a look at the information below to clarify this. I would also do that applications will be recorded in your iTunes library, so when you restore your backup, apps will sync back to the wire in one sitting instead to download on the App Store.

    backup iTunes

On your Mac or PC, you can make a backup of your device in iTunes. Synchronize your device with your computer is not the same as performing a backup.

An iTunes backup includes almost all settings and data from your device. An iTunes backup does not include:

    • Content of the iTunes and App Store or directly downloaded from iBooks PDF files (you can save this content using transfer purchases in iTunes.)
    • Synchronized content from iTunes, as imported MP3s or CDs, videos, books and photos
    • Photos already stored in the cloud, like My Photo Stream and iCloud photo library
    • Tap Settings ID
    • Settings and information Apple pay
    • Data activity, health, and keychain (to save this content, you will need to use iTunes backup encrypted ).

Learn How to perform backups in iTunes, how to find them on your Mac or PC, and how to delete backups you no longer need.

Let me know if this clears it for you.

  • computer froze when you connect to the wide

I had not changed anything on my laptop. For some reason when I tried to stop it but it froze in the registration form. The power button would not turn it off or do alt ctl led work. I had to pop in fact the battery to turn it off. Is that what I should be concerned or a problem somewhere, I need trouble?

I would certainly run through the usual troubleshooting stop.

Shutdown problems are usually caused by a program or process that won't come out gracefully. The program or process may be against malware, or may be legitimate (for example a pervasive like Norton or McAfee antivirus). If you use Norton or McAfee product, uninstall it and replace it with a better program like NOD32, Kasperksy or Avast (free). The Windows Firewall is enough for most people. Shutdown problems can also be caused by old/badly written drivers so make sure that all drivers are updated, especially on Windows Vista and Windows 7.

A.the first step should always ensure that your computer is free of viruses/malware.

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

    B. If the computer is free of viruses/malware, the drivers are current, and no program Norton or McAfee is installed, then do boot minimum troubleshooting to see what program/process is the culprit:

  • Computer froze during the upgrade/installation of windows xp

I have windows xp home edition on a Dell desktop computer. I had problems with the computer freezing and then lost the connection to the internet 3 days ago. So I decided to reinstall windows xp from cd. However, I have chosen upgrade, rather than new install (because it was the suggested method). Now my computer will not complete the upgrade but is frozen during the installation. It remains to 32 minutes until the end. I can't seem to start, can't control/alt/delete or whatever it is. If I unplug my computer and launch it then again once, it resumes where it left off. How can I break out of this loop and start over with a fresh install? Thank you.

OK, it would have been better to have all the information on this machine in one place. I guess your question in the other post you made about activation is for the same computer? If this is correct, then the information I gave you in your previous post is not applicable.

With Dell computers, using Dell reinstallation media, you don't need to enter a product key during installation and the operating system is already activated.

If you use a different XP installation disc that was not provided by Dell, this is why you are experiencing activation problems. If you do not have a Dell brand installation CD, you will need to use a manufacturer OEM generic system disk and use the product key on the label of CA certificate on your computer. If you use a copy of XP retail, you would use the product key on the CD to copy the retail case. In the case of the generic OEM drive, it must be the same version of XP that came with your computer (Home/Pro/MCE).

All that being said, your sound of questions as a material. Did you leave all devices attached during the repair facility? If so, this can also cause the problem. Unplug everything except (obviously) your mouse and your keyboard when doing an operating system install. You should ensure that the material is solid before attempting to install again.

Understand that all your data will be lost. If you save before, try to start with Linux Livecd such as Knoppix and copy the files to an external hard drive. Then download a utility from drive to drive mftr site. or use a third-party (Acronis Disk Director, Knoppix gparted) start Disk Manager to delete partitions on your hard drive and format the drive.

Now, do a clean install of Windows, preferably using a Dell XP installation CD. Install Dell drivers for all your hardware when you're done, restore data from backups. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
