Equium A60 stops automatically after 10 min

My laptop TOSHIBA Equium A60, after 10 minutes of work it disconnects because it seems to become very hot, even if the fan is working?

How can I solve this problem

Hey Osama,

This looks like a classic case of overheating caused by an accumulation of dust and debris in the vents of execution was cooling. I suggest that you try to use a hose of vacuum cleaner against the bars of suction air on the bottom of your laptop to extract dust and debris.

Make sure also that the laptop is not used in an environment where there is insufficient air, pass through the cooling system.

Kind regards

    Hello

    Sounds like overheating
Have you noticed a higher temperature?
High temperature may affect the pieces of equipment like the CPU, RAM, GPU

What do you think of this?

The A60 is a little old, and I think that there could be dust inside checking the fans If you can remove the dust using a jet of compressed air.
This should help to decrease the temperature.

Problem is laptop overheating. Of course, mobile reaches critical temperature of material and stops automatically.

When you play games using laptop on the desk and make sure that the cooling fan and cooling rack are not blocked.
Check also power avancΘs > cooling method. Set the method to the maximum level of cooling.

  • Satellite M100 stops automatically after about 10 min

    Hey there guys :)

My Toshiba laptop has been powered off abrubptly and lit, it's own lately.

When I turn on my computer laptop, everything appears fine, if fully charged battery, AC adapter / CC plugged in etc. However, after about 10 minutes of use, it will be just turn off and make some noise "zoip" or similar. Turn the laptop back on right after work, but I find it only remains on for 4 minutes before doing the same thing. Turn again reduces the time it stays on, sometimes not even go beyond the boot sequence.

However, if I leave it alone for a few hours and come back, he's going to stay for about 10 minutes again, before going through the same process.

I have a warranty, but I am hesitant to take my laptop because I don't want to lose my files.

So I hope that someone here has a solution for my problem :)

    Thank you

    Hello

Sorry to say, but I think it s a hardware problem. This portable strange behavior seems to be a simple overheating!
The laptop supports thermal protection to prevent the equipment from damage.
If the temperature rises to a higher level, that the laptop stops automatically. It is a fact and nothing unusual in this case.

Especially the fan cleaning helps but sometimes the laptop must be open for a professional cleaning. But beware: I n t recommend opening or removing the case! You lose the warranty!
Maybe an aspiration would make it.

Anyway, you said that you will not lose the data on your HARD drive. Well, I wonder why you n t create a backup of data, you can also remove the HARD drive and connect it via external USB controller on the second PC and can save the files to the other HARD drive.
After this procedure, you must put the HARD drive in the laptop and try to reinstall the operating system.
If this does not help, I would recommend taking the guarantee.

  • My Equium A60 not startup after Windows update

    Hello.
I have an Equium A60 (PSA67E) about 1 years. There has been many problems with this one recently. First, there was the problem of overheating. The machine would heat up and stops by itself without any warning. I tried many options by keeping the cooling ports clear but dint help not at all.

I've recently updated my bios version 1.90 such suggested by Toshiba. I always see overheating so far after the bios update.

The most annoying is the display driver which is in this case a lack of mobility radeon ATI 7000. This would cause the display to become oversized and the resolution is very low. It would go without saying when I restart the machine.

Last month, I reformatted the machine using the Toshiba Recovery CD. Everything went well until I am passed on the automatic update of windows. The first update coming, and I install and reboot the machine to let it function. He's fine. Comes the second update is installed and I have proceed to restart to allow functional upgrades, it does not start. The machine keeps starting over and over again without loading the OS. The screen is the typical Toshiba boot screen with the yellow light (charger) on the screen and after some time a blue screen is delivered for a short time (I am unable to read this error message it is said) and the machine starts start again. What can be the problem?

I need to install windows XP SP2, and for this I need to go through the Windows Update. What can be the remedy and on the update of the available display driver. I tried, but it makes the situation worse.
I used the recovery CD at least 20 times that there is no alternative. I tried to start in safe mode but din't work.

    Hi, Germain,.

According to your description of the problem it doesn't seem to be anything wrong with what you have done so far, but I just want to clarify a few points.

    1. After installing the recovery CD system you install/activate your anti-virus software?

    2. are you using Windows Update in automatic mode or you manually select the update process?

I recommend you to turn off automatic error (Advanced tab in system properties) reboot so the system will not attempt to restart when you get your blue error screen. This will allow you to see what error.

    Kind regards

  • Equium A60-157, problem after update BIOS 1.90

    Hi all!

I've had my Toshiba Equium A60-157 for two months. I've updated the my bios twice. First of 1.70 to 1.8 C and from 1.8 to the current 1.90 (common at the time I made this post).

I noticed that as soon as I used my recovery DVDs to restore the laptop to the default constructor, I had a problem with the main user account that is normally created after the completion of the recovery strategy.

Whenever Windows would open a session after the recovery account generated, a popup would display a message similar to the following:

"Windows can not load the profile and connects you with a temporary profile." No changes will be saved. "

He also said that this problem was maybe due to incorrect permissions, or something like that. The pop-up window also contained a 30-second countdown before opening in windows with the temporary profile. As indicated by the pop-message no changes would be recorded. I could even change my user account image.

I ran it again the DVD of recovery only to get the same problem. This NEVER happened when I ran on the original bios 1.70, bios recovery DVD AND 1.8 c.

Anyway I came up with a solution to this problem, which only caused me no problem at the present time.

I just logged into Windows mode without failure, entered the account administrator, created a new account and deleted the account of departure (created at the end of the recovery program).

So far, the user account-wise, everything back to normal.

If the recovery strategy or the bios did not cause this problem, I would be grateful if someone could give me some possibilities of doing just that.

I don't want to get updates of bios from 5-10 down the road, only to find out that my recovery DVD does not work.

Fact the DVD should be updated as well as the recovery bios?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi, Conrad

Can you please tell me why you do the updates to the BIOS? Have you had any problems? I use my unit for close to two years and I didn t make any BIOS update so far. If everything works well, it is not necessary to do an update with the exception of some Microsoft updates that make the OS more secure. Don t do any update if it is not necessary.

In any case, I am very confused with your question. Normally, Recovery DVD should not be updated. The BIOS updates are useful if there is a hardware conflict or a problem and not a problem using the operating system or any software.

It will be interesting to know why you're doing the recovery procedure each time after BIOS update.

    Hello Kishor,

You can use a scheduled task to shut down the computer at your desired time. You can do the following.

  • Equium A110 stops automatically

    Hello

This is my first post and I did a search to try to find a suitable place for the post, so please do not kill me if this isn't in the right place.

My Equium A110 cut twice today and when I felt the base it was incredibly hot. It tends to become hot enough normally, but usually the fan comes into play. I have a feeling that the fan has stopped working.

    -What is reasonably fast/cheap replaced?
I'm not remotely technical interest, but I don't want to spend days or weeks with no service online at home.

    Hello

Seems the laptop overheating and that is why it automatically stops to prevent the equipment from damage.

I've read several times about similar issues and generally, this happens if the cooling modules n t work properly because of the dust and debris inside the cooling rack.

If your vents are clogged, you can remove the dust using the compressed air jet that could be ordered at a computer retailer.

If it doesn't help then you should contact the ASP in your country, as it may be possible that your cooling modules a malfunction.
In addition, the technician must check if the thermal grease is ok or if it of necessary to renew it.

Last but not least, you must use your laptop on the desk where is enough free space around the laptop. It is very important to ensure good air circulation costs.

    Good luck

  • R400 - internet stops working after 2 min. Since the start of Vista

    Hello
My new ThnkPad R400 with Vista, I have a problem with the automatic connection to the WiFi network. In the Access Connections software, I put my home wireless network. When I turn on computer and access the internet, it's ok, but after about 2 minutes since the start of Vista, the internet stops working. Ping is still OK for each site (google.com, yahoo.com...), but I can't open any website. When I disconnect and then connect to the network, its straight until the next time the computer starts.

I'm very anxious, I tried to fix a lot of hours, but nothing helped.

    You have any ideas?

    Thank you.

I solved my connection drop problem! I've updated the Wi - Fi drivers and now everything is OK.

  • Stops automatically after the last El Cap update

    Hello

I use a middle Tower Mac Pro 2012 (Nehalem). 3.2 Ghz Quad core, 1 TB hdd, 8 GB ram DDR3, ATI graphic card 1 GB GDDR3 ram

Just updated to the latest version of El Capitan (10.11.5, I think). Directly after the update has been completed and the obligatory restarted, the splash screen would come to the top. The progress bar should get about half way (probably 15 seconds) and then the machine just turns off. When you turn on it starts where it stopped, then 15 seconds later it turns off again.

I tried to get in safe mode - turns off until something happens

I tried the (cmd, opt, p, r) and it should restart as expected but then start from the beginning progress bar. As before judgment.

AND if this can help: just before rebooting, I got an unknown error while trying to open iTunes (which was working fine the day before) - he asked me to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. The error had a number, but I don't remember it.

    Any ideas?

More annoying, the only thing I can do is hold the power button to turn off & on again. Is there a key combination should I put pressure to bring its edge form after you have closed the lid, or is it a fault?

Usually when the size of the memory changes, the system can recover.

Remove the battery and the AC adapter / CC, and then remove one of the memory Modules and power on.
