my computer guard stop, what can I do?

my computer starts normally, but after 20 minutes or so it stops right down in the middle of what I'm working on. I use windows vista. I tried the system restore, nothing seems to work. I checked the fan that works properly. Help, please.

Hi, Betty TGundy,.

1. When did you start to question?

2 did you recent hardware or changes to the software of the system?

3. you receive messages or error codes?

Step 1:

You can try to check if the problem occurs in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

Step 2:

If you are not faced with the question in safe mode, then you can try to perform a clean boot and see if it helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

After the troubleshooting steps, please refer to clean the boot link to put the computer to normal startup mode.

Hope this information is useful.

    Hi Happyrockgeek,

Welcome to Microsoft Windows 7 answers Forum!

This problem occurs if the Windows security .dll files are incorrectly registered.

To resolve this problem, you can perform the two methods of troubleshooting, check if the problem is resolved.
    Method 1:
Run (Checksur.exe) system update readiness tool.
To do this, follow these steps:
    1. download and run the system update readiness tool. This tool runs an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations. For more information about how to download and run the Checksur.exe tool, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/947821
    2. try to install the updates again.

    Methods 2.
    Reset the Windows Update components.
    1. to reset the Windows Update components automatically, click the fix button in the link below.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058
    2. click run in the file download dialog box and follow the steps described in the fix it Wizard.

I also suggest you to install the latest version of Windows Installer 4.5.
Follow the link below to download:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en
and you can also try to install after you turn off the firewall.

    It will be useful.

  • My computer Guard stops running

My computer guard stop while usage - the screen empties and says offline, but the Tower remains on everything to freeze me.  When she did this, I can not yet turned off the computer completely without closing the power bar (which I know is not good for the computer).  It happens more and more frequently.  My virus scans show nothing, but I'm afraid my computer/IP address is used by an outside source.  What should I do?

    Hi Jim,.

    ·         You receive an error message when the screen goes black?

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Now that your system is generally free of malicious software (assuming you have an AntiVirus application), you've cleaned the "additional applications" that could be running and picking up your precious memory and the processor, you have authorized out of valuable and makes disk space as there are no problems with the drive itself and your Windows Update components are updates and should work fine - it is only only one other thing youpouvez wish to make:

  • Computer guard stop, perhaps associated UPS?

Twice in the last week, I came home and found my 10.8.5 Mac Pro in a State does not respond and the reports that he had crashed when I reboot it.  This never used to happen. When I check in the Console log, both times I see that he got a "warning of low power UPS' before you reboot. A few things are strange:

    (1) I have it plugged into a UPS APC (via USB), and power settings control panel is deposited to the power if the inverter has left 5 minutes on that. If this is what is happening, why is there not a message about a soft - why stop the crash?

    (2) I don't actually believe that the UPS ran down. It's a great system of UPS, and nothing else in the House indicates a power failure had occurred (we also have a generator that comes after 30 seconds cut). Maybe the UPS is going crazy and if stopping randomly, but every time I see him, he pays 100% health.

Anything in the Console log below snippet seems unusual:

  • My computer is hacked, what can I do?

Several of my friends receive emails from email (on working from home) that I didn't send.

One of my friends sent email to me, I checked that she had been sent to and there was

several email addresses that I have not used in a long time, and one was a company by e-mail

I never use unless I have a question for an Atty.  In addition, my computer works even when I'm not on it.

Furthermore, I'm not a computer expert, so need to answer either in language I can understand.

I checked my firewall on what it is and work.

    Hello

Which is called Spoofing and its pretty easy for a spammer to make. Of course, it does
it look like you or the other person has sent the e-mail. Someone intercepted an email and
It may not be you who caused him. Account of a friend could have been consulted
or even someone could have sent an email on your behalf to someone else who has been
compromise. Your friend can access headers and block the real senders of
    those who will change often.

  • My computer is infected, what can I do?

My computer is infected one I can't understand how to fix it. I tried system restore to one other things that do nothing. I have no idea where to start even. I just want to take my computer back to normal safe again. I'm starting to think that this will not happen. Help!

  • my computer guard stop and start then I am browsing

I have windows 7 installed in my computer. I'm not very tech savvy and don't know why, but the computer continues to stop and then hesitating and eventually go back to the top while I am browsing through Facebook or other Web sites. The computer is not shut down it's just sort of freezes. Also, I got messages saying that "pages do not react. I tried troubleshooting from my control panel and it worked once. It detected the problem corrected, and my computer was quick again. Now, it's back to frost up and such. I tried to resolve yet and that is to say 'no problem not detected '. This is why I post here. Again, I am not tech savvy so I have no idea what to do.  The other time the computer (when I did the first troubleshooting), I first called my cable company where I have my modem and wifi. Everything on their end was perfect. No problem there.  They suggested I have delete my browsing history. I did it. Nothing. It's still (once again) slowing down, freezing and eventually go back to the top.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated!

In addition, if the problem persists try a "clean boot" and see if that solves the problem:

    https://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135?WA=wsignin1.0

If a clean boot helps there are other measures in the article trying to find out what is causing the problem and then you could return to a normal startup.
