Hello

What you use drive D: for and what size is?

If there is between approx. 5-12GBs in size, it is a recovery partition.

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

1. If you want to reinstall Windows from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

See you soon.

16 GB of free space is more than enough on C. right now my laptop computer Win7 has 6 GB of free space, and it works fine. However, if you still want to do you can try hard DiskManager Paragon or Acronis Disk Director 11 Home to increase the C partition. In addition, you can use tools such as diskpart but since they are designed to be used with the command I ask advice allows you to use Acronis or Paragon utilities.

However, remember that this could cause serious problems. Do so at your own risk. Also, be sure to backup everything.

    Hello

We have ESXi clocked at our remote data center. It seems only to remove no problem, and the deleted folder no longer displays in the view FastSCP or through the vSphere client. But in vSphere, the figure of the free space has not changed. Are there any other required step that I neglected to find that space?

  • Toshiba USB external hard drive 250GB shows only the red light - sound of rattling

My USB HD external drive to Toshiba aged 16 months stopped working yesterday. It shows just a flashing red light
and makes a slight clicking noise. Of course, we cannot guarantee any more. But all my backups are on this drive,
This means almost 10 years of work destroyed if I cannot access this disc more. Someone knows what to do to fix
    This problem?

    Post edited by: admin

I put t know what the flashing red LED could mean, but it looks like a HARD disk head crash. Perhaps you could find some details in the user manual that the flashing light means.

However, he still stupid s cases of dysfunction of a backup media situation. I had a similar problem with my 2.5 100 GB USB HDD. After about 3 years of work, the HARD drive died and I was not able to access the HARD disk. I was a lucky man because I have backup my data also on the DVD so I was able to restore the files and data.

What to say maybe s possible to save data, but professional help would be necessary. Maybe you should contact technicians for assistance.

Best regards and good luck buddy

    1. What edition of Windows XP work?
    2. What service pack is installed on the computer?
    3. What happens if you download the game via the c: drive?
    4. The place where you download the game?
Check if available hard disk space is available as recommended for the game.
The disk cleanup tool lets you free up space on your hard disk by searching your disk for files that you can safely remove. You can choose to delete some or all of the files.
You can perform Disk Clean up and then try to re - download the game to see if the problem persists.

  • Disk partition changed in 'free space' - cannot change it back to 'I' volume

I got a WHS error message telling me that a reader of my Vista laptop was "disappeared". It seems that 'I' drive partition on the laptop was removed from the disk management that shows now like 'free space '. I can not re - assign drive letter 'I' because the partition itself chooses a beyond when I go to "More actions" in disk management.

I don't want to make a new volume as I fear, it will delete everything on this partition - or just re - assign drive letter 'I' if I choose "New simple volume", keeping the data? (Letter 'I' is the next available letter.)

  • cannot defragment the disk D: due the low free space

Hello.  I'm trying to defragment my D: drive, but it won't let me because only 12% free space is available and I need 15%.  I tried to uninstall unused programs and deleting old files etc... but still I can't to 15%.  Can anyone advise me on what to do, please? A little frustrated with her right now...

Now we know for sure. Paul was right. It is the recovery partition. Please leave it as it is.

It should never be defragmented because it can lose its functionality easily.

  • Satellite A215-S7422: free space on the HARD disk decreases every day

    Hello everyone,

    Hi I'm alex.

    I've owned a computer laptop "SATELLITE A215-S7422.
I got 147 GB of my hard disk drive memory, I got 119 free space but as I noticed it is constantly down even if I do not download anything.

When I saw this first I try to get it back to the factory setting and I had 128 GB of free space, and every day it is significantly down.

Everything I do is look at you tube.

Can someone explain to me what is happening and what I can do about it...

    It would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

There is a simple explanation why HARD disk space decreases each time while watching Youtube videos
The video stream is always stored on the HARD drive in the internet files folder and in time.

So from time to time, it would be desirable to remove these files and to clean the folder of files over time.
I use the CCLeaner. It is free software and can be downloaded from different pages. Google simply
This program is very useful. It cleans the HARD drive and removes the garbage all registry.

    You should test.

I have seen that you can install alarms well PCLI and I was wondering if all had a go at it with something like the above.

I don't really know where to start with so any help would be great

  • Satellite C660: HARD drive space shows only 20 GB of free?

Toshiba Satellite c660 with 320 GB of disk space, it shows that 2 hard drives or 2 partitions, one called data shows only 20.6 GB of free on 148, but when I go in there I can only find at maximum approximately 50 GB even with all the backups?

    Hello

There are more partitions on the HARD drive.
You can see it in disk management.
Right click on computer and select manage.
Now you should be able to go to the disk management which will show you all the available partitions.

A hidden partition is used for the Windows 7 backup files that are needed to fix the Windows 7 in the case where something goes wrong with the OS.
Then, you can find a Windows partition and the other partition is used for HARD drive recovery. The point is that you are able to run the system recovery from the HARD drive without the use of the recovery disc (recover disk must be created using the recovery disc creator)

Personally, I would be interested to see what disk management says on the disc. Right click on my computer > choose manage. In the left pane, click "disk management". The content will grow in the right pane. Make a written note or a screen shot showing both used and free space.

  • Windows Vista shows 1.84 GB of free space on a 37.2 GB HARD drive, but it is false.

A friend has Vista Home Premium 32 bit, service Pack2 installed. Vista reports that there is only 1.84 GB of free space on 37.7 Go, but through all the folders and adding up their total use, there's only 14.8 GB of data (documents, downloads, photos, programs, and Windows Vista, etc.) on the disc and even if Restore Points using a full 5% of disk space, which is only 1.86 GB extra. I ran disk cleaners (disc CCleaner and Windows clean), all temporary files at once I.e. and Windows Explorer have been removed, all registry errors have been fixed, and there are only two restore points. When I first checked the disk usage after receiving a warning that the C: drive was almost full, there is a red bar on the C: drive, instead of the usual blue (I dunno what that means), but after race Defragmenter Windows bar was new blue, but the use of the disc was reported more than twice what is actually there. Everything which can be removed, cookies, namely history, recent documents from Windows Explorer, etc., etc. have been removed. I can't understand where are the other ±18.7 GB.

You can check the amount of space allocated for system restore points.  The system restore point brought the file size can be larger than necessary and could keep the restore points created when Windows updates come through and devours your file space.  It is interesting to watch in any case just to be safe.  I had this problem and changed by reducing the allotted file space in the system restore folder/file.

I've hit in this partition for a long time.

This is due to files not movable, scattered in open spaces.  Windows Disk Manager has a few limitations... You can use a thrid party as EaseUS Partition Master Free Edition 9.2.2 freeware utility

Its very easy to use and you can be dragged and resized your drive...
