My computer has traveled back in time like the way I bought it

Original title: my computer has traveled back in time.

I have an e-machine which is about 5 years old, running windows xp. All that was 'collected' over the years has disappeared; My documents, pictures, added software. Desktop looks like he did at the time of purchase.  Is anyway to recover information lost?

You have a corrupted user profile.

There are several ways to recover from this condition.

One way is to perform a restore of the system as Divya suggested.
"Windows XP problems if your profile is corrupted"

Another approach is covered in these regulations:
"How to recover damaged Windows XP user profile"

"How to copy data from a corrupted to a new profile in Windows XP user profile"

Depending on the approach you use, almost always a corrupt profile is accompanied by disk errors.  After recovery, do a 'chkdsk' on your computer with the /f or/r option:

My friend computer has entered 'back' and 'blue screen dominations' with only the keyboard access that we apparently had time to normal windows. • My old computer has preloaded items first (I have the serial number) on which I had started a family film.

My new computer has Photoshop 10 preloaded and I want to finish my movies I have backed up on an external hard drive.  How can I get a copy of the 8 or can I purchase an upgrade to 10?

It is unclear what software you ask the subject, but you can't go to the versions that Adobe no longer sells.  Your only option would be to upgrade to the latest version 13.

If there are downloads available for the version you have depends on what application it is.

You can download the demo version of the software through the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Don't forget to follow the steps described in the Note: very important Instructions in the section on the pages of this site download and have cookies turned on in your browser, otherwise the download will not work correctly.

Start Safe Mode removes the system caches that can help.

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

    Then try to update iTunes.

  • I do not have a disk for my computer and want to restart is back to the way I bought, please help how can I do this

    Hello

my partner has a computer laptop bieng a complete spaz when buying said computer laptop did not come with a disk or a backup appeared basically does anyone know how I reboot back to when my partner bought so we can start all over again
laptop is a Toshiba satellite operating system windows vista Home premium

    Hello

With a Toshiba, if you do not have to purchase recovery disc, there will be a disk to reinstall Vista from recovery Partition.

You press 0 (zero) to the starting power / and follow the instructions of Toshiba to reinstall back to the factory settings.

There are several methods to reinstall Vista, you may be interested.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/84488-activate-Vista-phone.html

    See you soon.

  • Why do I keep showing an update of security available to install every time I go to the line. The same update, according to my history of update has been installed 36 times in the last month.

    T

The update in question is updating security for Microsoft.Net Framework 4 on windows Vista 2008 x 86 (KB2446708) 11.2 MB Release date 12/04/11. I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Click on the round of start > click Run > outdoor: nature line in appwiz.cpl, click OK or press enter
If the race is not available, press the key (the key with the Windows logo) Windows + R at the same time to open it.

Click once on the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 to select.
Now click on uninstall/change in the menu bar.
Wait until the load of the window and choose the repair option.

If the .NET Framework 4 has been repaired successfully, suggest you do NOT install the previously downloaded version of KB2446708, instead, download and save (NDP40-KB2446708 - x 86 .exe) from here - update of security for Microsoft .NET Framework 4

Once the download is complete, close all open programs and browsers.
Install NDP40-KB2446708 - x 86 .exe by do right click and choose 'run as administrator '.
    Accept the UAC prompt.
If/when you are prompted to restart.

If the framework cannot be repaired, then uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4, restart the system.
If it is too corrupted to uninstall, and then run the .NET cleanup tool and have it delete only the .NET Framework 4.

If a program, application, or web site requires the installation of .NET Framework 4 for service, then reinstall to- Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (stand-alone Setup program)

If any program, application or website requires installation of .NET Framework 4 in the order that it function, so you don't need to do this or ongoing issues associated with updating.

    Hello

Things to try (in this order):

    1. set the dpi. Right click on the desktop, choose personalize. The option is in the left column.

    2. set the resolution. Of the above customize menu, select display settings. Adjust the resolution to the right to reduce the scale.

    3. If you can not reduce the resolution enough, it is probably because your display drivers were corrupted and you run a standard VGA driver. Visit the graphics card manufacturer's Web site and download the most recent (non-beta) release and install it, then restart your computer to finish.
