my computer stop in safe mode but not in normal mode
When I try to log on my computer from the start menu it just hags and never shuts down.
When that I disconnect in safemode, I close.
Can someone help me solve this problem.
Curtis_883
Hi Curtis,.
1 did you changes to the computer before the show?
2. What antivirus do you use?
I suggest you follow these methods and check.
Method 1: Disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer and check if you are able to stop.
If you are able to stop the external device connected to the computer is causing problems so connect only one device at a time and check the functionality. If you find the device that is causing issues update its device drivers on the manufacturer's Web site.
If the method above does not work, proceed to the next method.
Method 2: while the computer works fine in safe mode, perform the clean boot. This will eliminate software conflicts, help us identify the problem application.
To do this, follow the steps in this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
NOTE: After you check the clean boot feature configure Windows to use a Normal startup using step 7 proposed in the above mentioned link.

Could not get computer out of safe mode

: my computer is locked in safe mode when I start trying to hit the f8 key when turning and going back on normal startup and tried to type in slui.exe4 in the search at the bottom of the start Panel, Panel and press on enter and enter in the information system all the these have not helped at the time can not use printer and have no sound
My operating system is windows vista basic family that everything that happened after that someone tried to make my computer run faster
Since we don't know what the 'someone' has done on your computer - except that it was false and Bad - try a system restore. You use the wrong command for the restoration of the system. Slui.exe is to activate Windows, only not to do the system restore. You have left gives information? Insisting that you turn on the computer?
To run the system restore, go to the ORB start and in the start search box, type "System Restore" without the quotes. System Restore appears in the result of programs. Click it, enable the UAC prompt and follow the instructions in the wizard.
If you need more information, post back with more information on your computer and that 'someone' has done. What problems were initially have inspired you to get this dubious help?

laptop computer starts in safe mode, can't backup recovery, system used retore help
My laptop starts in safe mode, I can't make systems, backup files recovery failed, do not have a vista disk to run vista, need help
If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
