my daughter could not get on the internet with her while I - Max in my house, why not?

My daughter could not access the internet with your computer during your visit.  She has an I-Max Pro.  I have a laptop.  We recently changed from Comcast to Att and wonder if that creates a problem... I was also unable to get on the internet with a Kindle Fire.

Thank you

Hello

You must check with the help of the manufacturer of your router, their documentation online.
and ask in their forums. Most have excellent online help. Your ISP should also be
able to provide assistance.

Other resources would be iMac and Kindle Support and Forums.

Kindle - Support

Really not a Windows issues.

I hope this helps.

Dongle doesn't work, get errors certificate on the screen

Hi I have a pc, and when I try to get on the internet with my new dongle, a message repeat myself that I have security certificate errors, so I can't get on the net to fix and I don't know how to resolve this, the pc was origanally used for a modem by my sister. Does anyone know how to solve this problem.

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the dongle?

    2. have you installed the drivers from the dongle?

If this is not the case, the same install from the manufacturer's Web site.

I suggest you to contact or visit the site of the factory to install drivers and check if that helps.

    I hope this helps.

  • Can not get on the internet when you use the merge with WindowsXP

I upgraded to Fusion 2 and am running Windows XP.  Windows XP has not check when I installed it because I wasn't getting on the internet because of all the viruses that draws windows.  Now I find that I have to check Windows after 30 days.  I can't WMWare to help me after 30 days of free support (which is a bunch of Bull).  Anyway, I tried everything that is listed in this forum and through the FAQ, the s and videos and I still can't get it to work.  Can someone help me please?

Problem: I can not go on the internet whenever I'm on Windows.  My Mac is not a problem with online.  When I start the merge, I agree, but when I start Windows XP, it tells me this:

    Could not open/dev/vmnet8:

    No such file or directory.

Virtual device Ethernet0 will start disconnected

Sometimes it will say instead of vmnet8 vmnet0

If you have found errors like that something is not right.  Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall Fusion? Note: This is not the virtual machine at the request of Fusion.

I tried which was published for the myers40k (adding ethernet0.virtualDEV = "e1000" to the .vmx file) but that didn't fix it when I restarted merger/Windows (the text .vmx file was closed).

This is for Windows Vista not XP and you should not apply for bugs for Vista on XP unless you know that it is normal.  So sometimes it's better to ask to be sure before try you things are written to him in a team oriented to a specific operating system.

I also turned off and reset the network using NAT and bridge under network settings, and from the command prompt (I'm not too comfortable with the command prompt) at the command prompt, my IP address showed this: fe80::5445 etc, but it did not show my correct IPAddress, just this list of characters.

I have broadband with a Linksys WRT54G Router. I bypassed the router and went directly to the computer. I think it must be in the software because it did not help

If your router does not work properly, you should be able to use Bridged to network client, but without the router online, you need to set the client to use the default NAT network.  If you change the types of networks while the guest id launched, you must release/renew the IP address.  Restart then comments does this, but there are other means and until you learn what they are just restart the guest of change so that the client is not running or suspended.

I would start by checking the .dmg against its published MD5 sum file you have downloaded VMware to make sure that it is not corrupt.

Uninstall/reinstall Fusion and restart the Mac.

Start merging and then the virtual machine and it if error reports after the exact wording of the message and a screenshot if needed.

If she has any errors and you can't even access the Internet, then you need to validate the other information requested previously or there is nothing else that I can do without checking the parameters of the information requested previously.

  • My Firefox would not connect to Internet - had to use IE to explore to get on the Internet. What is the problem with Firefox?

I downloaded Firefox - Firefox Setup Stub 26.0 again and tried to install message but I had to close Firefox first. I don't have Firefox open. When I try to open Firefox appears on my desktop monitor but it won't do anything after that. I can't close yet and have to go into my task manager so he can close. Graces are rendered to God that did not uninstall IE because it's what I use to get on the Internet. Is there a solution to this problem I have? Happens to me quite often and I was planning to go back to IE as my browser rather than continue with Firefox.

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

Before you remove the spyware thing, I could get on the internet without any problem.  To remove it, I started in safe mode and ran SuperAntiSpyware.  That I ran it after a start normal and everything was fine except that I can't go on the internet. .

I can boot into safe mode or normal boot.  In a normal start, I also have the box that says: ' MCRD Device Service has encountered a problem and needs to close.  In both cases, when I look at the connections, the State said acquiring a network address.  It doesn't matter if I try to connect wireless or wired. Same results.  It seems that it is connected but cannot move to the next step.  Clearly, browsers can not see the internet.

I ran LSPfix and he said all right.  I also tried to fix with windsock with REPAIR to SuperAntiSpyware

    What should I do now?

The answers I got from this site has been wonderful.  Finally the last part of the fix was this.  Avast says afd.sys has been infected, so I said delete it.  I looked and he was always there.  So I went to Windows\system32\drivers\afd.sys and renamed.  Problem solved.  All in all, I removed about 10 viruses but the rootkit fought back and wouldn't remove it Avast.  Once I did that, Avast! and Microsoft msert.exe said that I own.  All the anti spyware said that I own.  I can see with a wire and wireless internet.  You are great

Ditto. As far as I KNOW, it is not all the specific windows of THIS forums for answers. Maybe the manufucturer provides community instances appropriate for users of devices?

In any case it really has nothing to do with Internet Explorer. Good luck!

This analysis comes to check the integrity of files. I think that the missing DLL must be replaced by reinstalling the OS. You can use the recovery disks or boot from the recovery on the hard drive of the computer and select a standard recovery. He will leave intact files and reset all the files of the OS.

    Hello

Yes, it is possible to gain access to your computer; but not without your permission. The firewall on the computer prevents any unauthorized entry. Refer to the following articles.

    What is a firewall?

    Windows Firewall

How will I know if a wireless network is secure?

When you say "Record" do you mean "Services" in the Windows Task Manager. Its common to have these processes or services to run in the background.
    'iexplore.exe' means 'Internet Explorer'.
    'explorer.exe' means 'Windows Explorer'.

    What is svchost.exe?

You can scan your computer with MSE to check the virus or malware if it affects your performance.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
