    Hello

Unfortunately, you can not solve a BIOS is broken down by yourself. At the machine really / judgment of accident during the update process? If Yes, then your machine has disappeared and the only chance to bring back to life is to ask an authorized service partner to help you.
Maybe they have a software to solve these problems. You should try and contact the nearest ASP in your country:

  • Equium A210-1as turns off during the Bios flash

    Hello group,

My computer laptop girls off for a flash bios because of blocked fan (dog hairs dust etc.) and its fried bios chip.
I think that there is a partition on the Bios chip which can upgrade the bios in a critical state of flash using combinations of keys.

I tried all of this and have a laptop dead yet.
I contacted someone on the net that sells preloaded Bios chips and instructions to replace them, but I must first of all identify the chip on the card.
Is there any reading that can identify it for me on a toshiba Equium A210-1as... psafje-005005ks

Thanks for any help Paul G...

    Hi mate

Usually it s is not necessary to replace the BIOS ROM chip on the motherboard.
In most cases, the ROM module has to be reflashed again.
It seems that the module ROM was not properly flashed and the process interrupted
The technician of the ASP can reflash the module using a disc of the BIOS crisis.

I recommend you to get in touch with the guys from the ASP in your country and ask reflash BIOSES.

    Good luck

I have an Equium L40 - 17 M on Vista... I tried Dban it and install WXP top...
I try to Dban my TOSHIBA SATA hard drive that came standard with my laptop
But Dban won't work for 5 seconds
Then I just tried to install Windows XP Home edition on the D: drive and it loaded in all the file system then stops and says that it cannot find and hard drive for corn on...
I also ran seagate daignosts tool to see if it was just my hard drive. But it passes all the tests.

I rang a maintence mobile place... and they said that's not the hard drive... It's the BIOS.
They said I need to get a cancellation of BIOS and drivers WXP chipset for my laptop.
Then run the BIOS and then install Windows XP Home edition and they said it will ask for the chipset.

  • Equium A100 - 331 (PSAABE) where is the BIOS battery?

    Hello

Please can someone explain where I would find the BIOS for this laptop battery? Looked where I could but no luck to find the battery without disassembling the entire computer.

I receive a CMOS Checksum error and want to check the battery. Unfortunately lately, the computer starts hanging for a while before we get to the BIOS password section (which I use)

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

To access the BIOS battery disassemble everything laptop.

Before doing this test to load the BIOS battery. Connect laptop to the power supply and allow 48 hours.

  • Dead laptop after the BIOS update. How can I restore original BIOS?

    Model: HP Pavilion m7-1015dx

    Original OS: Windows 7

Current operating system: 64-bit Windows 8

    Problem:

I tried to update the BIOS by using this file:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-124651-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en...

    Release: 2013-10-08
    File name: sp63801.exe [1/1, 6.56 M]
    Version F.29

He gave me a Blue Screen of Death and the computer restarted. After the restart I only get a black screen, the fan comes on but there is no text and no way to access the BIOS, or the start menu.

The led caps lock starts to blink twice, then stops for 1 ~ second then blinks twice again and again, indefinitely. This, according to HP, suggests a failure of the BIOS Corruption.

    What I tried:

I do not have the HP recovery partition, so I tried to install the two update of UEFI BIOS HP SoftPAQ and HP UEFI support SoftPAQ environment on a FAT32 USB key named HP_TOOLS. I tried these tools separately, at the same time. I tried them with 3 different bios downloaded from this site. I hold the button windows and B, then turn on the computer. Nothing happens. I tried Fn and B, holding them for different periods, there are no beeps, no text on the screen, nothing. The led on the USB key blinks ten times at the beginning and then stops, then starts flashing caps lock. I tried to put the .bin file in different folders in the USB port, including the root, same result. No.SIG file is in the bios I downloaded.

I am on mobile, excuse the errors. What Miss me?

The message here by 'jayvastani' seems to work for many. The only thing different from his post a year ago would be to skip step 4. The rest should be all you need. Good luck!

  • Equium A100-338 does not start the OS Vista - update Bios?

    Hi guys,.

My laptop (a few months) decided to die and was told by tech support that it might be because of the BIOS. The problem is that the computer does not start the operating system (Vista) and the update of the BIOS available only is the version of windows. Are there any other mirror to get the traditional update or even a way to convert a the update the BIOS from Windows startup disk?

    Thank you

    Hello

If you can see that one version of BIOS on Toshiba page then only one version exists and is available!

    > The problem is that the computer does not start the Vista operating system
I don t think that BIOS could be responsible for this problem.

You must first provide more info on this problem!
The laptop goes to home Toshiba screen? Have you tried to recover the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery CD?

    Please provide details!

  • The update of the BIOS?

    Hey, guys.

I'll post a video here on the update of the BIOS of your laptop and why it is so important to update.

So why upgrade BIOS? Improvements over time, the manufacturer of the BIOS the BIOS Setup program, or they are able to provide the functionality of the additional system or features by adding more instructions in the BIOS. Sometimes, problems of component can be fixed during the upgrade of the BIOS.

The BIOS is important because without it, the system components cannot start by themselves. Although the work of the BIOS seems simple, the interface behind it is complex. When you enter the BIOS Setup program, you should see a lot of parameters and configurations for your system hardware. Unless you really know what you are doing, do not touch these parameters.

The BIOS can only start and configure the hardware components of your system at system startup. Once the operating system, like Windows, comes into play, the operating system completely takes over and the BIOS will be is no longer necessary. The BIOS has so a few seconds to accomplish his task during the startup.

Be careful, the BIOS manufacturers always recommend that if there is nothing wrong with your computer, are there no need to upgrade the BIOS. Whatever you do, do not turn off your computer while performing a BIOS upgrade.

    * BIOS does not improve your gaming experience and it doesn't run your computer faster in itself. This is because, once more, the operating system will take over once the BIOS does its job. **

  • Cannot upgrade the BIOS on Satellite P30 - 145

    Hello world

just inherited a laptop P30-145, impossible to pass the bios. When I run the file, I get the message"BIOS update rom wrong format! "and then the installation program stops. How to pass? I do all right according to the Web site.

Just one thing, the original restore disc wasn't available, so I installed a standard XP and updated the necessary drivers on the Toshiba site.

    Hello

Try the 1.40 BIOS driver Toshiba page we:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/downloadDetail.jsp?soID=1236378&PF=true

The BIOS is for Satellite P30 PSP30U. It the same series as the European notebook PSP30E series.

Download the exe file and save it to the desktop. Then, create a folder and unzip the sp35v14.exe file in this new folder created.
Now go to this folder and inside that folder, you will find some files.
Read the Readme.txt file for the complete instructions for use the BIOS update.

  • Satellite L-20: how to remove the password in the BIOS, which I do not remember?

    Hello!
How are you? I have Toshiba L-20 on which I put the password in hw-installation of the software, but I don't remember.
I did not know that is related to the bios while seting upward. I had deleted this program thinking would help. In fact I can use the laptop in usual way, but whenever I start bios application password and then relying on ctrl + alt + delete it disable and tip for 2 sec again.
This time, it work, load the windows and everything is ok. just this password what do I do?

Please give me a hand, is more than a month like that.
    IS
    Mateusz

    Hello

It s a little confused what you describe, because after the BIOS setting password it should not be possible to enter the Windows without knowing the password.

As far as I know in the HWSetup Toshiba, you can set the password. It s not a Bios password.
If you want to remove this password, you need this utility.
You can choose the non registered option, type the old password and then you will receive a message that the password has been deleted.

I think the HWSetup you find on you tools & utility CD.
If this is not the case, try to use the System Restore tool to roll back the OS to the beginning.

  • Bad password the BIOS at startup Satellite A series

After the children have used the laptop by connecting to BIOS password I get "invalid password" I don't think that they have been in the BIOS and changed it, so the only thing I can think is the language has been changed.

I had this before but have always managed to open a session.
Is it possible to XP to change the keyboard layout?

    If Yes to what?

Is there a round work, or is it repair £150.

    Thanks for watching.

    Hello

Keyboard language can be changed in Windows XP.
To do this, you must go to
Control Panel-> regional languages and Options-> languages-> details tab
Here, you can define an additional or new keyboard language.
You can also use a short SHIFT + ALT key to switch between languages.

But the main point is that this work of parameters only when operating system running Windows XP.
In the BIOS, the provision could t be changed...
So it is hard to believe that the children changed the layout of the keyboard.

For me it s not explained why the BIOS password has been changed or why fake BIOS message

However, if you are unable to boot up the laptop because of the BIOS password then you will need to contact the ASP in your country to remove BIOS
You will have to pay for this service but I put t believe that it s expensive
