My Firefox deleted my account when I reinstalled Firefox.

So I had problems with Firefox and the first problem was when I clicked on my homepage, it redirected to a different site each time that I changed it to my homepage of YouTube or any other site. Another problem is, that my tabs recently never appeared on my Firefox browser either and it bothered me.

So today, I thought. Why not, let me remove all files and reinstall Firefox to fix it. So I did. With this new Firefox installed, I tried to connect to my sync account and it says "account unknown." At this point, I'm really upset because I have my key to recover my account and also lost all my passwords now.

How can I fix?

It seems that you should have to ask for support for your question to start with your home page, rather than "delete all" and reinstall Firefox. It would have been easy enough to fix wit our help, but now it seems that your personal data may not be recoverable.

The recovery key for the old 1.0 version of synchronization can be used a Firefox 29 or later version that uses Sync 1.5. All you need to connect a 'new device' Sync / Firefox accounts is the email address synchronization account (username) and the sync account password.

Be aware that if you change your synchronization password, your data is deleted from the synchronization servers.

    Check the Device Manager.  Click Start and right-click computer.  -> Device Manager, click Properties.  Look under imaging devices.  Right-click the entry for your webcam and click on properties.  If it is disabled, you can activate it if there is no lack of material.  Also check to see if there is one? or! by the entrance.  If so, you need to download a new copy of the driver and reinstall.

    I've been messing around with my Thunderbird data, so this problem is of my own making I think.

    I deleted an e-mail account using my provider configuration area. It was an e-mail account that I had set up initially at his accession to this provider and contained only test messages etc and was therefore no other use.

    Often, I find that using the command line commands gives errors better when you can not do something.  Try the following:

    o bring a window prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd")

    o enter the following command in the window:

    net localgroup administrators

    o that it must return a list of all users with administrator privileges.  You should see the built-in user 'Administrator' and your other user (assuming that both have administrator privileges).  To remove administrator privileges from the user (assuming that this another username is "Joe"), then enter the following command:

    net localgroup administrators Joe/remove

    If this is not possible, an error no doubt will provide you with enough information.

    Follow these steps only if no one else is using this Outlook Express identity.

    1: in OE: tools | Accounts | Delete the account.

    2: delete all messages in the OE files and empty the deleted items folder.

    3: remove all the dbx files in the message of store with OE closed. When it is open, new, and create empty dbx files.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    Close OE store folder and open Outlook Express. Select all the dbx files and delete them.
