  • Folders with files are missing in my cloud account

    Hello

I was asked to put this problem here because there is a team that takes care of downloading files and file recovery.

Basically for some unknown reason, what happened is a lot of my files and folders disappeared to a folder called "Work & Design" in my creative cloud account.

I wanted to delete only one file in this folder, but instead it all records archived. Then I went into the folder to Archive and click on restore to restore all the files that were entered in the Archive, but instead, only certain files and folders were transferred to where they were and the others have simply disappeared.

Can someone please help me get these folders and files I had already arranged them in their respective folders, and I do not know or do not understand why they would disappear right out of the cloud without remove me or delete definitely back!

    Thank you kindly.

Hey mate, I posted something similar yesterday with a post called:

Creative cloud file synchronization delete local files when they shouldn't

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/5645494#5645494

Again, I received no response at all. I really hope Adobe is sitting and is interested in this question because it really bothers me and I'm tempted to scan the entire file sync thing until we have the assurance that these problems do not exist.

However, I found a thread that a week ago:

My files have simply disappeared. How can I get back them?

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/5625460#5625460

I'm about to watch in this hope of thing - not heard until now - "Creative Cloud Recovery" it works!

    All the best.

  • Files are missing from the catalog files

I have upgreaded to 10 items and when you perform the conversion catalogue many of the records in the new catalogue are missing the files (photos). When I right-click on these files and try to add the files that I can see the missing files, try to transfer but at the end I get this: files or folders selected to import did not contain not all types of supported files or the files are already in this folder "- BUT - files are not in the folder in the catalog. They are in the folder on my computer that I am able to access it easily - they simply do not end up in the respective folders to the catalog. I use Windows XP Pro and all my folders and files are on an external drive and are set in memory when I download pictures from my camera. I don't have this number before - how can I get these files in the folder in the catalog?-j' tried establishing a new catalog and tried to convert it again with the same results - please advise-thanks in advance

Convert selected your organizer to use 'Thumbnail View' and you should see your photos.  The "location" view folder does not show the photos if they are in the subfolders of the selected folder.

  • two of my sent files are missing from windows mail, and I am unable to trace it? Please let me know how to find the missing folder

Until a few days back all sent files has been noticed but suddenly two of the sent files are missing and I am unable to find the same.  I use vista and windows mail.  Please let me know how recover/find missing files.

    Thank you
    Mahesh

Try searching *.eml and make sure you include hidden files and folders in the search parameters.  See also here for the Organization of store message (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm).  You should be able to use the browser to go to the directory of sent items under the directory of local records and the actual messages will be located there.  It may be useful to compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and make sure that everything in the folder, you saw the value. • All my programs files and personal files are missing

All my program files are missing (menu start - click 'all programs' - and it shows 'empty'... but if I taper type in an .exe application, then right-click and run as administrator, it works.)  In addition, all of my documents and photos disappeared.  I went completely through the computer and they simply went (value years of family photos).  Winundelete tried and it did not, so I guess that they are not simply deleted.  Any help?  I'm really confused.  (for the only system restore restore point before that the problem does not help)

Have you seen evidence that you have been infected by malicious software recently?

In an Explorer window, click on organize, select folder and Search Options. On the view tab, select Show hidden files and folders and apply them.

You can also use the unhide.exe program, which is located towards the end of tis section.

  • All my desktop files and library are missing in Windows 7

Need help, I have a windows 7 Ultimate OS on an old Dell XPS of 3 years. Operating system implemented at level of Windows Vista home for more than a year. Last week, when I connected, I noticed that all my desktop files were missing. Library of the missing files (including photos, videos, music & docs). Whats funny is that none of the files are missing. However, all possible files in each folder are missing. There is no way that I could have them was deleted by mistake, can not think of a keyboard shortcut to clear all the files, but leave the files. I run avast antivirus, set to day & works perfectly well. No application installs & the only windows update I see around this event was for MS silverlight.

I backed up all possible files using a recovery agent & the thought of doing a clean reinstall of the operating system. PS - My research on the net has returned no results for this problem. Looking for all entries before going to come & clean clean my system. THX in advance

    * original title - need help with Windows 7, all the missing files *.

Here are the steps I recommend:

    1. Open the computer and open your folder C:\Users.
    2. Right-click on the folder of your user name and select Properties.  Unset as hidden, and then click OK.

You will be asked what you want to apply the changes.  Choose JUST THE FOLDER.  Although it seems appropriate, are not select subfolders, because some things down there, including the appdata folders and as such, must be hidden.

    3. Then go inside your userfolder and select all your folders accessible by the typical user (downloads, Documents, photos, video, etc.) and disabled the option down on those.  This time, pouvez you use the option 'apply to all subfolders and files '.
That will get you squared away back.

Unfortunately to USERS C:\ D : | ------as C: is full. There are now corrupted files and programs are missing
and do not work. Most of the files are there but they are, but they are in different folders.    Could you help her?   Thank you very much.

Well we are all learning, sometimes doing unwise things :(

If you can not use a restore point, and the moving process simple origonal location cannot be done.

I would like to copy your files to external data, make sure that you have the keys that can be required for programs, then start with a win clean installation, deleting all partitions during the process, and then using the entire disk for C space.

You can different circumstances redirect your libraries only to another drive, other than C.

  • My library files are missing and

My library files are missing and there are under 'Name' \My Documents User\ has some directories, but they are mostly empty and not all there.  I don't know what happened, the computer crashed and they were gone and I restored it to the previous date, but no change.  The file 'Name' was a symbol of lock on it and I don't know how he got there - he removed, but did not return the folders and files.   When I run the restore software, he finds some files and says that they are not deleted.  I have several back previous ups of most of the files, but just did a lot of purge and reorganization and to restore the folders and files in the same structure and place. I spent so much time on it and tried everything I found the info on, so I hope someone here can help.

Click on the Start button in the taskbar and click on your username at the top.

Right-click on the My Documents folder, and then select Properties,

    General section

Check the hidden box and click on apply.

Clear the hidden check box, and then click apply and then click OK.

Repeat for the other Pic my / my vid / folder my music.

  • I moved folders in my catalog, but now the collection files are missing

I recently moved aproxx 10 files from my hard drive to an external hard drive to create space on my computer (through the external hhd-> photos-> and then imported into lightroom again). Now im back to work, I noticed that the pictures have moved above the catalog, but modifications and flags etc. disappeared, then her back to the original files, and corresponding with the moved catalog collections State only files but folder names show the content as 0.

I have not saved my catalog for ages so I can't get back them in this way... is there a way I can find collections elsewhere, or is there something I can do to make lightroom makes change them data on the photos again? I already tried the missing help file + brought 10 folders to hd where they where the first and optimized the catalogue but all failed...

is - it really true if you move the catalog files lightroom deletes your data edition of this folders and files in them?

Never import photos a 2nd time. That was the mistake.

Using your operating system, move the photos to where they were on the first hard drive. This should reconnect photos in Lightroom. Looking for them, make sure that you can find those with changes and that they do not have a question mark or exclamation point icon.

At this point, you must remove the photo without retouching and flags of Lightroom.

Now, to move the pictures on another hard drive correctly, follow these three

    1. In your operating system, COPY (and not MOVE) pictures on the external hard drive
    2. In Lightroom, go to the folder Panel in the library Module and right-click on the folder in question and select Update folder location, then point Lightroom at the new location of photos copied to the external HD (more details here, scroll down to the section called the update folder location)
    3. Once you are 100% convinced that Lightroom now recognizes files on your external hard drive (there no question mark or exclamation point on your photos icons), then using your operating system, you can remove photos from your original hard drive.

And please start to perform regular backups of your catalog in the future file, no excuses.

is - it really true if you move the catalog files lightroom deletes your data edition of this folders and files in them?

No, in fact Lightroom allows this, as I have explained. The problem is when you import a moment 2nd photo, Lightroom thinks this is a brand new picture with no editing and no metadata provided by the user such as flags and collections and keywords.

  • Whenever I start the system complains that the following files are missing, c:\\Windows\System32\igfxpers.exe, igftray.exe and hkcmd.exe.

    Original title: files missing error

Whenever I start the system complains that the following files are missing, c:\\Windows\System32\igfxpers.exe, igftray.exe and hkcmd.exe. Everything started after I ran scan and scan deleted some files infected. However, I can use the system. Where and how to download the missing files? Or how the system does not deliver messages?

    Simon

Two of the three files are probably part of the malware infection and not the files infected. The third is probably the same details in this link:
    http://www.Runscanner.NET/file/Hkcmd.exe.html

To identify what loads when you start using Autoruns (freeware from Microsoft).
    http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx

With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig. You will find the three points and they will have a description 'file is missing' against everyone. Your antivirus software has removed the files, but not the startup entries in the registry. All you need to do is delete the entry using Autoruns to eliminate the error messages.

Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.

  • Outlook Express Inbox messages or files are missing.

Yesterday morning, Monday, January 24 when I open my browser to surf on Outlook Express, I discovered that all my messages in Inbox and / pr files are missing. I was given the opportunity to click on in order to replace the most recent data in the box to pop up on the screen: compact down, it seems like. Thinking that assistance, I innocently click on 'Yes', this is the result: all incoming the previiousd and this letter is as gone with the wind (disappeared).

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :

    About file Corruption:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspx

    Recovery methods:

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
    http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspx

    And see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

    And backup often.
