  You use Windows Live Mail to get mail from your ISP? You may leave messages on the server and Inbox to the server your is full.

  Right click on the name of the account above the Inbox. Properties | Advanced. Uncheck: Leave a copy of messages on the server. Do a manual send/receive. If there is no progress, connect to your mail server's Web site and delete the messages from the Inbox it.

  I have 2 addresses - email my gmail address that I use for "undesirable" (coupons, FB, etc.) and my me.com address that I use for the things that I really need to see.  I want to have both accessible through the mail on my iPhone app, but if possible I would rather than the 'me' unread address emails show the Red number on the icon.  I have a hundred of thousands of emails unread in my gmail Inbox, in order to have this mixed number tells me nothing.

  I know that I can click in the app and see the unreads account.  If it comes down to it, I'll just cut the number of unread icon.  But I thought I'd see if anyone here knows if/how have the icon app unreads show an account can be done.

  Application settings > Notifications > Mail. You should see each account with the ability to set notifications for each.

• My Inbox for one of my email accounts will not update

  I have 4 email accounts and one of them the Inbox won't download any new messages.  The other inboxed works fine and the email that is not work works fine on my other devices. This is not a new e-mail account, he worked many years. the problem just started yeaterday.

  Anyone know how to solve this problem.  I've already tired to restart the iPad and remove and recharge the account.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  Items sent in: discover | Current view and do that show all Messages is checked. If that's the case, then the sent items is corrupt.
   
  Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox, and then create the new box of sent, and sent items files after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.
   
  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
   
  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.
   
  With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.
   
  After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
   
  Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
   
  General precautions for Outlook Express:
   
  Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  My Mail app synchs Win 8 (64-bit) both my outlook.com and Comcast.net (ISP) accounts.  On the folder Comcast only, constantly showing 3 unread emails where none should or exist.  Not a question or restart/restart Mail app because it probably started around this past Thanksgiving and has continued ever since.

  Have highlighted the Comcast all individual record emails and repeatedly scored first, "unread" and then "read" in repeated attempts to ensure that all emails should have reported being 'read' to clear indication of emails unread without success.  As new mail continued to arrive in this account, the total displayed increases with each new non-arrival with still more the 3 unread mails.  When I'm physically read or the more recent/latest messages deleted, the number decreases with each elimination without never less than 3.

  8 win and all included Mail applications are up to date with all updates downloaded and installed.  Is this a known issue with the Mail application?  Suggestions or recommendations to the short of a refresh or restore in Win 8 I have a large number of existing programmes which would need to be reinstalled and updated itself, as you can imagine it is a very long process?
