my laptop hp dv5 series with windows vista home premium not starting not, despite several presses of the power button that only a white screen appeared only to nd 2-3 seconds then the system crashes.all started last night, when the electrical connection cut (no battery attached to the laptop). in the morning when I tried to start it, the led light of the charger pin on the beds for laptop for about 6-7 seconds nd then turns off. When I pressed the power button with the connected charger pin, it does not start, BUT when I joined the battery wid, the light (power) led to turn it on mobile to the top but the led on the pin of the charger turns off after a few seconds. SA is NOT SHOWING anything on the SCREEN EVEN AFTER PRESIN F11 etc please help

The following article should be useful. To use system recovery options, you have Vista installation disc. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repeatedly will install on the computer Windows recovery environment. To cross check if it is installed, try the following steps.
1 start the computer and press the F8 key continuously to get advanced boot menu options.
2. on the menu advanced startup options, check if the Startup Repair tool is in the list.
3. If so, select it and press ENTER.
4. If not, then you should organize a Vista installation disc.You may receive error messages when you try to perform a backup operation on a Windows Vista-based computer

There are many causes of Code 39 errors:
· A required device driver is missing.
· A required binary file is corrupted.
· There is a problem with the file I/O process.
· A driver that refers to an entry point in another binary file cannot load.
I suggest you try the following steps:

I heard that after a few years of use, Windows-based computers lose their ability to function. This happened to me before and I bought a new laptop. Now, I think that it happens again. The laptop (Dell Inspiron) with Windows 7 Home Premium is now slow to most of the activities - loading of the pages in the browser, etc... He is also declining my VPN connection occasionally, but also my direct connection is very slow. Latency shows speedtest software provided by the ISP in addition of 250 ms, download speed of 1 MB/s (compared with 8 planned) and 0.05Mbps download. The ISP has corrected this once, but I'm wondering now if it is the computer which is slow rather than on the network because my laptop works well on the same network/router. Is there one solution to this other than another new laptop?

You say that your computer is slow, but all of the examples you give are rather than slow computer operations slow network communications. To avoid any unnecessary work, check how fast the computer is on the tasks that don't use any network.
If it works fine for tasks not network then you can concentrate on the problems of network as being the only concern.
It has also become very slow for no network tasks you should study other causes. Just as an example: If, like me, you sleep / turn off the computer when you are not using it then defrag will never work, so you can run it manually to make sure that doesn't cause problems. Describe your symptoms in this thread so that someone can advise on the best course of action.
In the unlikely case where you must run Dell Factory Image Restore, then the instructions are in your manual PC *. AV is Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton has preloaded, ran Norton total clean. Don't know the last updated time to race day, I re-load of updates (right term?) who cleaned the logs. Have the free version of Malwarebytes, run regularly, nothing comes.
Fixed, had run as before, but didn't save Subinacl desktop instead of folder mentioned in fix

Largest you can currently buy and probably larger that your mother/hardware card takes in charge.
~ 18 exabytes.
Your limit is probably more capped by material (and possibly the cost) than the software. :-)

My laptop came preloaded with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium on the C drive. The drive D partition contains recovery software. I have a partition formatted f with nothing in it. Can I install Windows XP Professional on the partiion F and have a system dual boot? If so, how to load F installation CD when it wants to install in C?
It is the instance of Vista installation.
Come on first, site of the manufacturer of your computer, check to see if your model computer has XP drivers available for it...
If the XP drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.
