My laptop not showing the particular wireless network.

* Original title: Wi fi

Well my laptop not showing wifi network if other people see in this regard?

It is possible that particular hotspot-wifi uses a wireless frequency that your computer can't handle.  For example, if you have a card 802.11 wireless g, but the hotspot using 802.11n or ac or another variant.  It could also be a 5 GHz network, but your wireless adapter supports only networks 2 .4GHz.

To really refine the problem, it might be useful to investigate those who you can see, for example.

    Hello, my name is Farouk

So recently I bought this laptop in a store here in Egypt. I saw him and I really liked it. There was a problem, however, it did not come with microsoft windows at all, but he came back. I bought 8 64-bit Windows and installed without any problem at all.

Now that is the problem, when I came to connect to the Internet, there was possibility to connect to a Wifi hotspot. My only choice was to connect via ethernet cable. Now, I'm sitting here next to my router connected to an ethernet cord, wondering what to do, and I hope I can get some answers here.

    Hello:

Your laptop is not supported by HP for Windows 8.  Only 8.1 and 7, 64 bit.

The "ton of"other devices"in Device Manager," are all devices that need drivers such as the wireless card.

Problem is there is no W8 driver for the wireless card model that your laptop is.

See if these drivers wireless and bluetooth works.  If they are not, I highly recommend you use your ethernet connection and take the free update for the windows store W8.1 and then install the relevant drivers you need.

Any ideas? I downloaded the drivers from the card wireless site but without success!

    What should I do?

    Thank you!

    Hello
The WiFi card is an option for this model for example. It is not included in all machines. You must purchase the correct module for W - lan to work.

If the card is installed in the machine, you should see a yellow esclamation mark (!) or "unknown device" If you uninstalled hw.

Stand by. If your laptop can see your WLAN or not or you just problem to connect?

  • Why are these networks 0033, livedoor-web, mobilepoint shows on my wireless network connection

Why are these networks 0033, livedoor-web, mobilepoint shows on my wireless network connection? At Microsoft this downloaded without my knowledge in my laptop in the network connection and the internet? Are these safe to use and that they cause to slow down the internet connection?

Your wireless network card is just a receiver (transmitter).  As for a 'normal' radio on which you are listening to music, news, sports, etc., your wireless network card will 'listen' to any nearby wireless network and provide you with a list of these networks:

Wireless networks that do not require a security password appear with the icon of the shield, as the "linksys" network in the figure above.

In general, you should only connect to networks that you know are secure: your own, networks that you know the password, or maybe a public network such as those provided by restaurants and other commercial establishments.

None of the networks that list you are likely to be public networks.  You will not be able to connect (because you do not know the password) or you should not connect because they might be dangerous.

  • ConfigFree does not show the intensity of the signal

ConfigFree works properly - except that the Wifi strength is displayed at the highest level for all sources, regardless of how effective. (as it is deducted from the source location and the signal strength indicated by the utility windows)
I.e. all access points are on the inner ring.

I am running Vista on a Portege M400 with Configfree version 7.0.0.24 and Intel 3945abg driver 11.1.0.86. I got the Intel proset utility loaded, but they would not show the signal strength at all. So I unloaded it.

I tried rolling back the drivers for the driver Wifi and Configfree with no change in behavior.

Any suggestions at all would be welcome.

    Hello Rod

I use Vista on my Satellite last Vista designed ConfigFree utility, but I never noticed the signal WIFI is displayed there. Can you please explain exactly where this signal must be shown?

When connected to WIFI, you can see the small symbol in the task bar but this symbol belongs to Vista and the symbol of the strength of the signal is also visible in Vista network and sharing Center.

Sorry but I do not see this symbol in Configfree directly. When my laptop is connected to WIFI all I see in ConfigFree is connected (blue) status and the connection between PC icon and black (marked as G) WLAN. It is also interesting that the small blue animation moves along that black line.

  • Not detected in T61 wireless network card

    Hello

    I have a T61 (7663-CTO WYG-7663)

There's a MM2 Intel wireless 4965AGN adapter installed in it.

Windows 7 is installed, but the Device Manager does not show me any wireless, only the wired network adapter network adapter.

I tried to change the map wireless with a wireless G pci-e card but still no device.

Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Have you checked the BIOS on the T61?

If it came with a stock of operation of Windows XP (that is to say, it's OLD), it may require a BIOS upgrade.

Inside the BIOS, I think it's in the Config-->--> internal wireless network.

That's assuming that it has been installed correctly.

Guide your T61 for details, I guess.

  • Can't see the available wireless networks

I bought a new router (netgear300) and tried to connect to it. For some reason any would connect to my computer, but it has not been through the modem, so I uninstalled the network card and reinstalled and rebooted the computer. Now, I do not see the wireless networks available and cannot connect to anything. I tried to download the readers online, connect to the network manually, but nothing seems to work. I get 3 error messages when I try. They are; 1 reset your wireless, 2 network adapter. the NIC "atheros ar5007 802. 11 b / g wifi adapter "known issues of pilot or related equipment, 3. Make sure that the internet protocol bindings are correct. I did all the and still nothing seems to work, and I still don't see the available wireless networks. Nothing has had this problem before? My laptop is a compaq presario f700 model. I am currently using windows vista Home premium and have the cd of windows 7 Professional, but I don't know if the upgrade with this question will repair or remain the same. Someone knows how to fix this?

    Hi Mattcreatr,

1 can connect to the router with other machines?

    Step 1:

Make sure you have the latest NETWORK adapter drivers installed.

Also, see if there is a software that goes along with the drivers.  If so, get the latest version of this as well.

    Update drivers: recommended links

    Step 2;

Also, see if there is a software that goes along with the drivers.  If so, download the recent plus version and that as well.

Also, make sure that the wireless adapter is turned on.

    a. Click Start, type network and sharing in the search box Center start and press ENTER.

    b. click on change adapter settings.

    c. right click on the connection, and then select activate.

    Step 3:

Alternatively, you can perform a restore of the system to a restore point where you do not experience the problem and check.

Start your computer in safe mode

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

  • My Mac Pro and HP Deskjet 3070 PowerBook does not connect via a wireless network from dorm

Both my laptop and printer (an all-in-one) are connected to the same wireless network dorm, but they do not connect on it.  They connect only wire using a USB cable.

I have for the MacBook Pro and the Deskjet printer IP addresses but no way to use to establish a connection.  I don't have access to the network router.  When I test the connectivity, the software tells me, "too many networks."  He can't make a choice!

Interestingly, I have my MacBook Air along this journey, too, and the two MacBook have no problem of communication on the same network of dorm.

Is it possible to plug these devices such as computers connect or should I remain attached to the USB cable to use my new printer?  I guess you know how I feel about this.  Thanks for your advice.

You are right.  There is no way to bypass security protected by password and thus to connect a Mac to a Deskjet 3070 via a secure network without access to a router, and a password.  However, even without access to a network or a router, there is a workaround solution.  In my case, where the technical ability to correctly configure the router and the printer is beyond the understanding of the management of the dormitory, qualified through the difference to happen anytime soon, it is the answer I need.

The solution is to build your own Mac + network printer and make it private, protect it against unwanted entry.  This offer you little mobility in the area of the printer, which is much better than nothing.  A sofa can be more conducive to creative thinking as an Office Chair.  The unconventional twist that Johnny introduced the user, the printer that generates the sender-recipient, not the Mac network.  Very smart.

I refer you to the thread,

"Deskjet 3070 cannot connect to the ad - hoc network (Mac)"

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-networking-and-wireless/DeskJet-3070A-cant-connect-to-ad-hoc-network/m-p/1446819#M38598

Then the only question is to know how to connect your Mac on the Deskjet 3070 printer via the generic (as he calls it, "ad hoc") network created by the Deskjet printer.  The Mac has abundant features for this purpose.

Thanks for the categorical assertion, however.  No sense to break down the walls looking for a nonexistent hidden tunnel...!

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
Is properly installed wireless adapter driver?
Go to start-> type devmgmt.msc-> press on enter. In the Device Manager window, expand network adapters. You should be able to see a list of network adapter as Ethernet, Bluetooth, etc. Make sure that you can find the adapter wireless from the list. If so, double-click it. Properties windows will be open. On the general tab, under device status, if it shows that the device is not functioning properly, please remove the case, locate the wireless network card and make sure the connections of antennas are coneected correctly. If even a connection is not properly connected or damaged, you cannot connect to any WiFi network.
